The new Ribera School reinterprets the city’s rigid grid through an architecture that introduces new sightlines, bringing openness and permeability to the area while creating a balance between public and private space.

A fenced, regular lot is transformed into a vibrant garden enriched with botanical species and urban greenery. At its core lies the Agora, an informal meeting and exchange space, essential to the concept of a contemporary school, open to the city.

In the game of Simbé, players must evade the lion’s pursuit, finding safety by reaching the protective red cloth. This concept of protection and the symbolic red cloth lies at the core of the project.

Four distinct volumes, each defined by function, are interconnected through a central square, a space for gathering, sharing, and play, reminiscent of a village setting. The red band encircling the volumes and protective perimeter walls forms a visual and functional link between interior and exterior spaces, reinforcing the project’s narrative of protection and connection.

Bevagna, Italy 2021

Type Ompetition - 5th CNAPPC

Program Infant school, Primary school, Middle school

Dimensions 3.000 sqm

Team Diverserighestudio

Role Project management, concept development, drawings

The project envisions the construction of three schools at different levels, metaphorically represented as white keys on a piano, interspersed with black keys - the green voids dedicated to the gardens.

The morphology of the buildings is designed to seamlessly integrate with the surrounding landscape, where the architecture itself becomes part of the environment. The accessible rooftops offer additional spaces for recreation and provide seating areas for outdoor events, further enhancing the interaction between the built and natural environment.

BASSONA PARK Milano marittima, Italy

2021 - On going

Type Competition - 1st prize

Client City of Cervia

Program Public park, accomodation, offices, sport and instruction

Dimensions 380.000 sqm

Cost € 10.000.000

Team Alpina spa, diverserighestudio, Daniele Durante BV36, Luca Fontanin, Eleonora Sablone, Mauro Panigo, Cristina Martone, Alessandro Arnoldi

Role Architectural drawings, 3d modeling

To restore the connection between humans and nature, the project aims to strengthen the relationship between the park and the city, fostering a symbiotic bond.

Through an evolutionary implementation strategy, the design rehabilitates the site while educating the community on the rediscovery and long-term stewardship of native landscapes. The park transforms into a living classroom, teaching both the ecological and cultural history of the area, while integrating modern needs through a flexible and responsive renewal plan.

@Daniele Durante BV36

PARK HOUSE

The buildings of the Bassona area become a scientific and agronomic hub with the role of aggregation and civic centre. The buildings house educational greenhouses, research laboratories, spaces dedicated to accommodation and slow food.

GEOMETRY

The geometry and trend of the ecological infrastructure take shape from alignments and proportions deduced from the significant elements of the surroundings, relating the project area to the context that surrounds it. Flexions, knots and changes of direction “lean” and touch the existing and project polarities.

ECO-CORRIDORS

The park intends to activate an osmotic ecological process with the context, implementing the connectivity of the habitats and the possibility of movement within them. Ecological connectivity, obtained through the establishment of vegetation along a network of paths, allows permeability and connection with adjacent ecosystems.

TRANSITION

The architectural and spatial polarities within the project area extend their range of influence around and connect to each other through the large promenade - the ecological infrastructure - and the network of paths.

ECO-INFRASTRUCTURE

The infrastructure creates a cycle-pedestrian promenade that develops for 12.5 km connecting all the project areas. The variations in altitude allow for multiple fruition and landscape contemplation, which satisfies the both aestheticperceptive and didactic needs at the same time

VEGETATION

The vegetation variety identifies different habitats of the native landscape. An archipelago of mature and diversified woods is created through reforestation and thickening of the undergrowth. The biodiversity of vegetation and the relationship between the various nucleuses favors the presence and permanence of many species of birds.

BASSONA BUILDINGS

2 - LAB SCIENTIFICO AGRONOMICO

The buildings in the Bassona area become an agronomic scientific hub with the role of aggregation and civic centre, a metaphorical Agora for the entire park. The buildings house educational greenhouses, research laboratories, spaces dedicated to hospitality, slow food and a building for housing agricultural machinery. 2021

CERVIA AMBIENTE HEADQUARTER

Cultural center

One of the interventions concerned the executive design of a new cultural center of the Cervia Ambiente institution. Here an ephemeral wooden structure envelops the beating heart of the building like a nest; the permeable ground floor is dedicated to public activities while the offices and event rooms are located on the first floor.

Role Concept development, architectural drawing, 3d modeling

The Senior Social Residence is designed for independent elderly individuals, promoting active aging through a system of self-contained accommodations organized around shared services.

Reinterpreting the classic courtyard typology, the project emphasizes the concept of the enclosure as a protective and comforting element. The ground floor, housing the communal areas and services, fosters a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Fluid pedestrian pathways enable seamless movement between the interior and exterior, creating a continuous experience of open, accessible spaces.
