HI,
I’m Francesco, a recently graduated in Architecture and building engineering at Bologna University. I am a curious guy who likes travelling, music, art and architecture, of course! After my first degree in Pescara, I moved to Bologna where I gained experience in several architecture studios. I think there are any number of ways to learn architecture and one of these is practice! I feel ready to do everything can teach me something, better if it is new to me. I’m not afraid about that, I can learn it in a bit beacause I really believe in what I’m doing! Being part of an Architecture Firm would be a great opportunity for me to challenge myself and learn a lot of things. The memorial, buried in the ground of the Fossoli camp, has to preserve, protecting and guarding the memory of the site being just a c o n t a i n e r The “objects of memory� are stored in that box and they will be there forever. The hole in the middle of the structure remembers a lack and the tunnel, cutted on the ground, forces to get the memorial passing throughout the old prisoneer barracks, filled with ephemeral steel s t r u c t u r e s

R E - U S E FERRHOTEL An old building used for long time as hotel for railway employees, then re-used and trasformed by me in a contemporary museum. Foreign bodies, pushing from one side of the structure, penetrate and fill the empty space inside.
T H E REVEALED S T O N E Subtraction is a surgical operation, which intervenes on the layers of the built and its continuous changes. An operation that works through selection of parts at the expense of others, for unveiling of elements and spaces, h o w e v e r , existing but waiting to be unearthed. The stone garden is built by subtraction, in fact, a sort of urban break, never existed before, is now ordering to the city. The large stone wall hides, but at the same time invites us to be path to take us into the secret of his belly.

ECLIPSE L A M P
The lamp is born from the idea of melting light and textile together. Me and my colleague thought that the most appropriate way to use laser engraved holes on the fabric was to pass something through; in this case, light. Eclipse is a direct consequence of our initial concept which is precisely the possibility of modifying light by creating different light effects through a "double skin" system: two layers of nearby tissue that, moving independently of one to another, recreate an eclipse p h e n o m e n o n .

My interpretation through pixel art wanted to capture and collect in a single shoot the different realities of Pescara, from the station to the stadium, from the Fuxas palace to the Camuzzi towers, from the Arlecchino palace to the Toyo Ito Wine glass. In the middle of the composition is situated the theme of the project, as well as the biggest cultural centre of the city: A U R U M Currently the work is permanently exhibited in the Aurum palace in Pescara. [In the picture almost everything is made from myself and my colleague, except some figures taken from eboy.com]

The modeling is the result of a careful study of the only available photographic documentation , because no one else has other kind of testimony of liberty style h o u s e This work was extremely usefull because it was previously demolished in order to be reconverted in a covered market.

“Architetti di strada” aims to improve the response to social and housing disadvantages in Bologna, by using sustainable projects and achievements in economic, ecological and social terms. It is made up of architects, engineers, planners and human rights experts, a group of people full of energy and environmental sustenability mind set. Art is an important thing! I like to spend my time drawing and painting, as much as I can. Below you can find a series of drawings, paintings and compositions that I made throughout the years. The subjects are often abstract and consist of simple lines in white and black tones.
