We had several quotes and design suggestions from other companies before meeting Ben. From the first meeting we were impressed with Ben’s understanding of our needs and he gave us excellent practical ideas. We particularly liked that he was able to show us samples there and then, without the need to visit a show room. He involved us in decisions along the way and, without doubt, made the process far less stressful than we imagined it would be! Thanks so much - Mr & Mrs Fog
I approached Happy Kitchens with a challenge. The current layout and look of my kitchen was not working, and many other companies were put off by the fact the kitchen was on the first floor and in a town house just off Winchester High Street, so parking was an issue. Not for Happy Kitchens though, they were by far the best quote for the quality and came up with the best design, leading to the kitchen pictured above installed in less than 7 days - Mrs Barnell

Kitchen & Bedroom Makeovers
I tasked Happy Kitchens with a makeover incorporating major changes. Ben came up with a beautiful design and costed this kitchen at just under half of the quoted costs, from brands such as Wren and Magnet. Not only did it cost less the quality offered was much higher, hand made units and worktops fabricated to order - Mrs Ward
We had just moved and wanted to update and bring colour and a contemporary feel into our existing kitchen but wanted to avoid the large Corporate Companies. We found the answer in Happy Kitchens when Ben brought his showroom to us, and the experience of choosing units and colours turned out to be an exciting one, rather than daunting and disappointing. Their time keeping, efficiency and workmanship were second to none. We were consulted where decisions mattered and nothing seemed too much trouble - Mrs Jane Wareham
Happy Kitchens are quite unique as we are able to offer top quality products, available in any size, fitted by the best professionals in the business. Change your kitchen and bedroom with a makeover or design and install a new kitchen and bedroom, whichever suits your needs or price range.

Hampshire Open Studios celebrates its 25th anniversary with its biggest art trail yet. From 16th to 25th August 2025, over 300 venues across the county will throw open their doors, inviting the public to explore, engage, and connect with local artists, all free of charge.
For ten inspiring days leading up to Bank Holiday Monday (25th August), visitors are invited to step inside the homes, studios, and galleries of Hampshire’s vibrant artistic community. We recommend starting off at Clare Goodman, in West End Close, who is open 10am-5pm throughout the event. Clare has been a professional artist for 40 years and taken part in Hampshire Open Studio since the
beginning. Clare will have 70 colourful and atmospheric landscape and nature paintings on show.

How to train for a half marathon
A Half Marathon is a distance that’s achievable for most runners – if you can run a 10k, you can definitely prepare for a half marathon – but still remains a challenging one, requiring a good training program and steady commitment. Many runners use it as a stepping stone towards longer distances, while others see it as an end goal and simply work on improving their personal best.
Perhaps one of the hardest parts of training is staying consistent and holding yourself accountable. To achieve this, you need to develop a weekly running routine and get used to lacing up for a run two, three, or more times a week –plus, you can also sign up for a half marathon race: Having a specific deadline can really help you stay on track.
Here are some strategies that can help you prepare for your race:
• Add your running sessions in your calendar to integrate them into your daily routine
• Track progress to stay motivated and see how far you’ve come
• Make your training social by sharing your goals with close friends or family, joining a community of runners, or running with people you know
The best way to do all this is to use a dedicated running app to create a personalised half marathon running plan that sets out all sessions for you and adjusts your mileage to your goals. Running plans are available online or through a suitable phone app.

While 45% is the highest ‘official’ income tax rate in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, the way the tax-free personal allowance is treated means that some people pay an effective tax rate of 60% on some of their income.
Known as the ‘60% tax trap’, it applies to earnings between £100,000 and £125,140. Here, we explain how the tax trap works and why pensions could help you manage it.
Income tax and the personal allowance
Most people have a standard personal allowance of £12,570, which is the amount of income you do not pay tax on each year. If you have a standard personal allowance, the tax rates you’ll pay in each band of earnings are as follows:
How to reinstate your personal allowance
A way to mitigate the 60% tax trap is to save into a pension. If you earn £110,000 and make a gross pension contribution of £10,000, your adjusted net income falls to £100,000. This would reinstate your full personal allowance and give an effective rate of tax relief of 60% on your pension contribution. There is a cap on the amount you and your employer can pay into your pension each year and still get tax relief. For most people, the annual allowance is £60,000, (this might be tapered if your adjusted income exceeds £260,000). If you exceed your annual allowance, you’ll have to pay an annual allowance charge which essentially claws back any tax relief received. It is also important to note that income tax relief on individual pension contributions is limited to the higher of £3,600 or 100% of your relevant UK earnings.
Next steps
Understanding how different tax rules might affect you isn’t easy, especially as the rules can change frequently. A financial adviser can help explain how the various rules affect your long-term financial planning and help decide the best course of action for you.
Source: HMRC
Once you earn more than £100,000, your tax-free personal allowance starts to be tapered. It reduces by £1 for every £2 that your adjusted net income exceeds £100,000 and is zero if your income is £125,140 or above.
Why the 60% tax trap occurs
Imagine you earn £110,000 – or £10,000 above the threshold. You would not only pay £4,000 in higher rate tax on the £10,000, but you’d also lose £5,000 of your personal allowance. And with £5,000 of your personal allowance gone, that portion of your income is now also subject to tax at 40%, costing you another £2,000. In other words, of that £10,000, you’d only get to keep £4,000, which equates to a 60% tax rate. For Scottish residents, the effective rate of tax is even higher at 67.5%, as income in the top rate tax band is 48% in Scotland.
We live and work local to you. We would be delighted to help you and your family achieve financial clarity and stability.

LOCAL SCHOOLS HELP CREATE THE NEW CHESIL THEATRE
The streetscape in Chesil Street Winchester will be taking on a new look when Chesil Theatre’s development project progresses to the next stage and Winchester school children will be embellishing the scene.
Chesil Theatre’s plans include the addition of a new extension to the much-loved heritage building and the time has come to carry out demolition and preparation work to the land before construction. The centrepiece is a curated range of high quality pre-loved clothing. This is supported by upcycled leatherware, upholstered furniture and other premium items.
The store provides far more than just a city centre presence for the charity, says Chief Executive, Nigel Samuels. “Although we can always do with more good quality furniture donations, we can sell all the furniture we can get. Fashion is a different issue because too much clothing is made, bought and disposed of. This boutique is the right setting to sell the fabulous clothing we receive from our donors.”

Another judge, Sarah Hill from The Arts Society Winchester agreed that there were budding imaginative artists amongst the children’s depictions.
A prizegiving was held on Saturday 5th July when Chesil Theatre Vice-President Gerry Tuff presented £100 to each of the schools. The two winners were Stephanie Rita Hamilton, Year 5, of All Saints Primary School and Violet Scobell, Year 6, of Winnall Primary School. They both

“We were overwhelmed by the number and quality of the designs created by our local children. The hoardings will certainly be much brighter and more attractive thanks to their efforts. As a community theatre, we were so pleased to have this involvement from schools in our City Ward. We are grateful to The Arts Society for their involvement and The Arc in Jewry Street for creating a display of all the work in their foyer, running from Monday 7 July for at least a month and we hope throughout the school holidays.”

Jo Hamilton’s personal story behind the Post Office scandal, “Why Are You Here Mrs Hamilton?”, is now available to read or listen to in Audible. She still lives locally in South Warmborough where she ran the local Post Office. I have been fortunate to meet her and on a few occasions; she is a remarkable woman. I recently heard her being interviewed on Times Radio recently talking about her experiences and the release of the book. It is read by Monica Dolan, the actress who portrayed Jo in the ITV dramatisation “Mr Bates vs The Post Office”. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Something I would rarely, if ever, recommend is Sky TV. It is, in my opinion, highly overpriced. I suggest that, instead of committing to a 2-year subscription directly with Sky, you join Now TV, available as an app on your Smart TV, computer, telephone or tablet. The main advantage is being able to turn it off individual packages if you no longer need one.
As ever, stay vigilant on the internet and when reading your emails. If you ever have the slightest doubt about an email message – delete it.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust appointed as a Responsible Body
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is delighted to announce its official appointment as a Responsible Body by Defra (Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs), following its accreditation in May 2025.
The Trust is only the third Wildlife Trust in the country to receive this accreditation and joins an exclusive group of just 30 organisations across England entrusted with this responsibility.
Arcadian Ecology & Consulting, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, has also been appointed as a Responsible Body. Together, these accreditations strengthen the Trust’s ability to deliver long-term conservation outcomes in the region, supporting its mission to safeguard wildlife and habitats.
As a Responsible Body, The Trust is now legally empowered to enter into legally-binding ‘conservation covenants’ with landowners and developers, ensuring the long-term protection of land for nature conservation.
The Trust's role includes establishing covenants which specify habitat improvements required to achieve Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG). In addition, the Trust will monitor restoration efforts to ensure compliance with these agreements and enforce the terms if any breaches occur.
Conservation covenants are instrumental in helping deliver BNG, a policy which requires developers to leave the natural world in a better state than it was prior to their development being built. The policy mandates that almost all developments must result in a minimum 10% increase in natural habitat, which can be delivered within the development itself or on land elsewhere.
By securing legally binding agreements, the Trust can ensure that conservation measures remain in place for generations to come, helping to reverse habitat loss and protect biodiversity.
Debbie Tann MBE, Chief Executive at Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, said: "Becoming a Responsible Body is a significant step forward for the Trust and for nature conservation. It means we can work directly with landowners and developers to secure legally binding commitments that protect and restore habitats in the long term. With nature recovery an urgent priority in this time of crisis, conservation covenants provide a powerful tool to ensure meaningful, lasting conservation outcomes.
“This aligns closely with our Wilder 2030 strategy, which aims to create more space for wildlife and to support and empower people to take action for nature. We look forward to collaborating with partners to create a resilient and thriving natural environment for future generations."
Conservation covenants offer a faster, more flexible alternative to traditional planning agreements, allowing landowners to protect sites for nature without transferring ownership. Crucially, these commitments are legally binding on all future landowners, ensuring conservation efforts remain in place regardless of changes in ownership or land use.
With nature in crisis and the government’s legally binding target to halt species decline by 2030, the covenants ensure that conservation efforts are embedded within the planning and development system, supporting a greener, more sustainable future for the UK. The Trust’s Wilder 2030 strategy underpins this approach, aiming to restore natural habitats, increase biodiversity, and inspire people to take action for wildlife.
The designation also strengthens the Trust’s ability to work strategically with local authorities,
businesses, and other partners to create a network of protected and restored habitats.
John Durnell, Managing Director of Arcadian Ecology & Consulting Limited and Director of Nature-Based Solutions at Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, said: “We are proud that Arcadian Ecology & Consulting has been recognised by Defra as a Responsible Body. This designation gives us the ability to secure meaningful, long-term conservation outcomes in collaboration with landowners and developers.
“Conservation covenants offer a practical and robust mechanism for delivering Biodiversity Net Gain, and we’re excited to play a continued direct role in ensuring that nature recovery is embedded into land management and planning decisions across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.”
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust and Arcadian Ecology & Consulting welcomes enquiries from landowners and developers who wish to explore conservation covenants as a means of protecting and enhancing biodiversity.

A local pantomime has raised an incredible £6,000 to support local people living with a terminal illness in Winchester.
The Hursley pantomime group, the Hursley H’Ams was formed in 2009, and Goldilocks and the Bogeyman was the group's tenth production. With the money from the event held earlier this year now all in and counted up, children who took part in the show have recently been to the hospice to hand over a cheque to staff.
The event took place in memory of Doreen Joseph who was an integral part of the group from its inception before she died last year. She starred in most productions, playing a variety of parts including a memorable performance of a cow in Jack and the Beanstalk, a chainsaw wielding surgeon, and many more. As well as her acting, she contributed hugely behind the scenes with her sewing machine skills and her ability to solve any wardrobe problem.
WINNALL ROCK SCHOOL TO CELEBRATE 21 YEARS OF SERVICE
Winnall Rock School is proud to be marking 21 years of providing supportive, accessible, inclusive, fun and educational music-making opportunities for local young people.
Our 2025 Summer Show at the Theatre Royal Winchester on Tuesday 15th July will celebrate this milestone with our current crop of 21 young people performing their new original songs and electrifying covers - hooks, riffs and future hits.
Winnall Rock School Summer Show 2025: Twenty One! | Theatre Royal Winchester
In advance of attending the show, the Mayor of Winchester, Cllr Sudhaker Achwal, visited WRS at Unit 12 to see how rehearsals were progressing.
He remarked "It was truly inspiring to see the group in action - enthusiastic young people, full of energy, talent, and a real eagerness to
Michael Arthur who wrote and directed the pantomime, said; “The most remarkable thing about Doreen was her incredible courage. Despite her serious illness, which often left her weakened and in pain, she never gave up. She never missed a performance and her cheerful determination never faltered. She was an inspiration to all of us and we were all truly honoured to be part of this pantomime in her memory.”
It was the group’s strong desire to honour her memory that brought them together to create Goldilocks and the Bogeyman. So strong was the feeling to honour the memory of Doreen, people who had left the village returned to take part with one even travelling all the way from Spain.
The pantomime followed the traditional tale of the famous children’s story Goldilocks and the Three Bears, which was embedded in a plot centring on a fictional parish council determined to spend the parishioners’ money on two white elephants and how their dastardly aims are defeated.
Before she died, Doreen was cared for by Winchester Hospice and it was one of her preferred charities.
Speaking about the donation to the hospice, Michael said; “Everyone involved had a wonderful time putting the show on and
learn. It was clear how much effort and passion has gone into nurturing their musical skills. Your dedicated team have clearly achieved something very special. It’s heartening to see the positive impact you’re making on these young lives through music. I have no doubt that the upcoming concert at the Theatre Royal in Winchester will be a great success - based on what I saw tonight, it may well be your best yet!"
we were delighted that it raised a fantastic £3,000 through ticket sales and donations. One member of the team is an employee of Macquarie Group and, through its foundation, they have generously matched the money raised meaning we’re able to double the donation and present a cheque for £6,000 to the hospice to help them fund important patient care.”
Jo Westerman, fundraising officer at Winchester Hospice said; “We were delighted to welcome some of the young cast to the hospice and thank them personally for their donation – and how fantastic to see them dressed in character! We’re incredibly grateful to everyone involved and thank them for supporting the hospice in such a fun way. Doreen would be proud!”

Clare Hobbs - former manager of the Wessex Dance Academy said of last year's show - "... that was an utterly joyful evening, full of love and creativity. I loved it and am in awe of what you all do with those amazing young people. I feel very lucky to have been in the audience to share such an awesome night of music. Huge respect to WRS - all its amazing stars, young and old alike."

ABBOTTS ANNE FETE 2025
The Abbotts Ann Fete 2025 takes place in Duck Street on Saturday 6th September 1pm - 5pm at the heart of Abbotts Ann Village. This year our theme is the Sound of Music celebrating its 60th Anniversary which will feature in some fete content.
Duck Street will be lined with commercial and charity stalls offering local crafts, produce, baking, bric-a-brac and even a demo of a robotic lawnmower from Andover Garden Machinery! At the village hall there will be WI teas, traditional fete games, including Tug of War and Hook the Duck with the ever popular Human Fruit Machine. A fun gunge tank and stocks will be waiting for anyone daring to put themselves forward for a refreshing surprise. Perhaps best to try face painting afterwards!
Inside the hall, at the Eagle Pub skittle alley and in our beautiful St Mary’s Church there will be exhibitions of local produce, baking, photography, painting and flowers. Flour for our cakes, sold at the cake stall and WI teas has been generously donated by McDougall’s, Andover Flour Mill, (Premier Food).
NEW PRESIDENT TAKES OVER AT WINCHESTER ROTARY
Mark Butcher has recently taken over as President of Winchester Rotary from Paul Russell – the new Rotary year began on 1 July. In his resume of his year Paul thanked club members for their support and praised them for all that had been achieved over the year, both in Winchester and overseas where the club has been supporting a number of projects in some cases financially - and in other cases 'hands on'. The club charity for Paul’s year was Winchester Street Reach (now part of Youth Options) – a number of successful fundraising events were held.
At the Eagle Pub, famous for real ales, there will be a delicious BBQ and in the pub garden there’s a fun dog show for pooch lovers at the beginning of the fete. From 3pm for the first time there will be live music in the pub garden including our own village boy band called “The Buzz”, and our wonderful Ukulele band Uke@ heart, who recently performed spectacularly at the village VE Day celebrations.
Throughout the afternoon “Phoebe Bee” a spectacular Entertainer will be buzzing around on stilts, sure to buy some delicious local honey and introduce herself to “The Buzz”. Ida Coen and James Stretch from the Show Ponies band will sing a duet to round off our brilliant afternoon live music.
Our wonderful community shop and Post Office will be open all afternoon for goodies including ice cream and whose front courtyard will house the grand raffle stand with star prizes.
What we do offer, which is a bit different to many other fetes, is a wide range of musical entertainment. We also have music playing in St Mary’s Church, including our fantastic Abbotts Ann hand bells group and a talented local band “Away With The Fairies” who have got back together to create an amazing sound.
Goats (to remind us of our fete theme!) and Alpacas are going to be situated outside the church door looking forward to saying hello to everyone.
We will create a street arena surrounded by straw bales where the Andover Musical Theatre Company and Middle Wallop & Andover Military Wives Choir will perform.
Mark, a fairly recently retired senior manager with IBM at Hursley, has lived and worked in the Winchester area for 40 years, where before joining Rotary in 2012, he coached at Littleton Junior Football Club for 8 years, was a school governor at Harestock Primary School for 5 years, and participated in several mentoring schemes at Henry Beaufort School. He also does a small amount of freelancing, most recently with Winchester Action on the Climate Crisis (WinACC).
He said, "Winchester Rotary is an extremely active club of over 40 members, including both men and women. We support many other charities and drive projects of our own, often in collaboration with other organisations, both locally and
Mid-afternoon the arena will showcase Family Entertainer Jess Butcher who is including a puppet show in her repertoire. (another nod to the Sound of Music theme).
Twice during the afternoon, a vintage car procession will drive through the village hooting their horns and displaying their wonderful vehicles.
When the fete ends, we will be offering a Duck Street Disco at 5.15pm for primary school children. Last year this was a huge success and sponsored by Bluebird Care who have kindly offered to be our main fete sponsor this year and are supporting us with fete volunteers and fantastic pre-fete support like printing raffle tickets.
The Andover police cadets and Tesco Community Champion will also be supporting our own local volunteers. Tesco are kindly providing our entertainers with refreshments too. Evans and Partridge Estate Agents have generously helped with fete sponsoring and provided excellent advertising boards. There is plenty of off-road free parking which will be clearly signposted.
Finally, if you can’t make it to the day event please join us for our night entertainment at the Eagle Pub with live music from 6pm by the amazing local bands 'Away With The Fairies' and 'Butler’s Rat' with delicious Thai food supplied by Aom’s Thai Kitchen, popular at Salisbury market and local events.
All money raised goes towards local community organisations. We look forward to seeing you!

Alresford Hearing Studio
Celebrating Six Years of Outstanding Hearing Care in Alresford
This summer marks six years since the Alresford Hearing Studio first opened its doors, bringing independent, expert hearing care to the heart of our community. Founded in 2019, the Studio has become a trusted name, offering personalised service, cutting-edge technology, and a genuine passion for helping people hear better. We spoke with Samuel Longman, cofounder and lead audiologist to get an understaning of how the business has evolved and plans for the future.
What made you decide to start Alresford Hearing Studio?
"I wanted to create a space that offered a truly personal experience — where people felt listened to, not just tested. After years in the industry, I saw how the larger chains often rushed people through appointments and pushed sales targets. I knew we could do better for our patients."
What do you think sets you apart?
"It’s our independence and the relationships we’ve built. We’re not tied
to one manufacturer, so we choose the best technology for each person from all the available solutions. And we take the time to get to know our patients and their lifestyles. Hearing care isn’t one-size-fits-all, and we will never treat it that way."
How do you see the future of your business?
"I see us continuing to evolve alongside the latest technology, constantly expanding our knowledge through training and refining our processes to work more efficiently. But growth for us isn’t about size — we don’t want to lose the close-knit, family feel that our patients value. Our goal isn’t to be the biggest hearing care provider — it’s to provide the best service for our local community."
To celebrate this milestone, The Alresford Hearing Studio are offering FREE HEARING TESTS throughout August. If you’ve been struggling to hear clearly — or just want peace of mind — now is the perfect time to book an appointment with our friendly team. Call 01962 790749 or visit alresfordhearingstudio. co.uk to find out more.
Our commitment to you
The Alresford Hearing Studio is committed to continually invest in the latest diagnostic equipment to make sure all hearing tests and ear wax removal appointments are carried out to the highest level of patient satisfaction. Our Team has built years of hearing experience and appreciates how vital hearing is to building relationships with loved ones and to enhance the quality of life.
Our fully qualified HCPC registered audiologists will guide you through a fully comprehensive hearing consultation and demonstration in our fully immersive hearing studio which can replicate those extremely challenging environments to make sure you are making and informed decision regarding your hearing health.
Our Commitment to our products and process is demonstrated by our 60 day money back guarantee on all hearing aid purchases.

WHY STRENGTH TRAINING AFTER 50 IS THE BEST THING YOU’RE NOT DOING (YET!)
As we age, it’s common to feel a little less strong — perhaps carrying shopping feels heavier, or it’s harder hiking, lifting luggage, kneeling in the garden. But this isn’t just “getting older” … it’s often due to muscle and bone loss and the good news is, it can be reversed.
From around age 30, we gradually lose muscle mass. After menopause, this speeds up. Without strength training, women can lose up to 8% of their muscle each decade affecting strength, balance, and energy.
Bone density also declines, making fractures from simple falls more likely. It’s one of the leading causes of reduced independence in later life — but it doesn’t have to be.
The most effective way to fight back?
Strength training.
It helps:
Maintain and rebuild muscle
Strengthen bones and joints
Improve posture, balance, and mobility
Reduce the risk of falls and injuries
Boost mood, energy, and confidence
But most women 50+ were never shown how — and gyms and lifting heavy weights can feel intimidating or unrealistic.
Many women believe that just carrying on gardening, walking, swimming, playing tennis or golf is enough to keep them strong.
Whilst all this activity is great for movement, it doesn’t give your muscles or bones the challenge they need to stay strong. That’s why we’ve created Strength Starts Now — a simple, supportive online programme for women in their 50s and 60s who want to feel stronger, more mobile, and more confident in daily life.
No gym required. No equipment to get started. Just clear, guided sessions from home.
We’re Jo & Nicky, Winchester-based personal trainers specialising in helping women 55+. This programme is designed for complete beginners — it’s gentle, encouraging, and tailored to real life.
Strength Starts Now launches this September, with short home workouts, expert guidance, and support to help you feel more capable doing what you love — whether that’s walking, gardening, or carrying your own suitcase.
Because muscle and bone loss aren’t just inevitable — they’re something you can do something about.
Visit www.invigor.life to stay in the loop.

Yes, You SHOULD Feel Good (About Your Vagina)
Those of us who have issues down there know the impact our vagina can have on our quality of life. But we should ALL feel good about our vaginas.
Ultra Femme 360 is the painless radio frequency treatment that promotes the body’s own natural collagen production to restore and tighten the vaginal area.
From puberty, childbirth, menopause, and all the fun stuff in between, our vaginas go through a lot, and we rarely give them the care they need.
Our vaginal area is just as prone to damage and ageing as the rest of our body. Distressing problems with vaginal laxity, stress incontinence or reduced tissue quality are all experienced by most women at some point in their life.
The Ultra Femme 360 treatment provides total vaginal rejuvenation in one quick and painless treatment that lasts just eight minutes*.
What is Ultra Femme 360?
Ultra Femme 360 is a non-surgical solution for restoring the internal and external vaginal area. As the applicator is guided in and around the vagina, the radio frequency activates our own body’s natural collagen and elastin production, which tightens the vaginal canal and surrounding skin. The low levels of heat from the treatment also encourages blood flow to the area, further boosting the effects.
Feel good…
Who can benefit from Ultra Femme 360?
This is a safe and gentle treatment that is suitable for most women. If you have experienced vaginal changes since childbirth or menopause or have functional issues including stress incontinence or reduced sexual enjoyment, Ultra Femme 360 can tighten, restore, and rejuvenate your vagina for increased confidence and personal wellbeing.
Does the treatment hurt?
We understand that this kind of treatment can feel daunting. However, we aim to make you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the treatment, which is entirely painless and lasts only 8 minutes. There is no downtime, and you can return to your normal daily activities immediately afterwards. *Recommended one treatment per week for three weeks for the best results.
We are one of the first clinics in the country to offer this treatment and look forward to welcoming you at The Face & Skin Clinic.
Book your treatment today. We should all feel good about our vaginas.

Community Garden Grants
This Summer the National Garden Scheme celebrates ten years of support and partnership with Horatio’s Gardens. To mark the occasion a tea party was held on Wednesday 11th June at Horatio’s Garden Stoke Mandeville. Over this time more than £670,000 has been donated to the charity Horatio’s Garden, enabling them to continue with their pledge to create and care for accessible gardens at all of the eleven NHS regional spinal units. We are proud to be Horatio’s Garden’s largest single funder.
The charity is named after Horatio Chapple. Horatio volunteered at the spinal centre in Salisbury and had the vision of a garden for all those connected to the centre. Horatio’s life was cut short in 2011 at the age of 17. For Horatio’s family, friends and those touched by his life, these evolving gardens, which offer sanctuary, improve wellbeing and become so significant to those affected by spinal cord injury, are his legacy. Dedicated head gardeners, staff and volun-teers ensure the gardens look incredible all year round as well as organising activities and events, including garden and art therapy, music concerts and plenty of tea and homemade cake.
Horatio’s Garden is just one of the charities benefiting from all the money raised by visits to the NGS’s Open gardens. It simply takes one visit (such as the two below) to help us raise these vital funds for our deserving charities.

A beautiful 5 acre garden best known for its mirror image herbaceous borders, and its 1 acre walled garden, and a large and unusual collection of plants and shrubs giving year-round interest. To the north of the house, five acres of garden slope up through the exemplary mirror-image herbaceous borders, planted with over one hundred genera and reaching their peak in June with nepetas, geraniums, tradescantias, Clematis x diversifolia ‘Hendersonii’ and galegas, followed by yellows and then the russets of late summer.
This I’m afraid brings us to the end of our Open Gardens from Hampshire for 2025, so I will sign off for a few months and be back again for 2026. Many thanks to all those of you who have visited any of our gardens in 2025, thus helping us raise much needed funds for our beneficiaries.

REFLECTING ON MY FIRST YEAR AS YOUR MP - DANNY CHAMBERS MP
On the anniversary of the election last July, we delivered something very few first-year MPs ever manage. My Animal Welfare Bill passed through the Commons and is now on track to become the law. It will put a stop to the abuse of dogs and cats who suffer from cruel mutilations like ear cropping and declawing. It’s been an incredible achievement not just politically, but practically garnering support across the House and from the wider animal welfare community. I couldn’t be prouder and I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who supported this campaign.
Over the past year, alongside my amazing team, I have handled more than 8,000 constituency support cases, each one personal, urgent, and often life-changing. Whether it’s a family waiting on a visa decision, a parent fighting for SEND support, or a pensioner unsure how they’ll keep the heating on, we’ve been there.
From day one, I took the fight for Winchester’s A&E and consultant-led maternity services straight to the top, putting our hospital front and centre with questions to the Health Secretary and the Prime Minister himself. I’ve walked the corridors of the Royal Hampshire County Hospital and described in Parliament the unacceptable conditions that patients and staff endure every single day.
I was honoured to open the new GP surgery at St Clement’s improving access to care for thousands. We’ve campaigned day in, day out for better mental health services and I helped shape the new Mental Health Bill to ensure people get the help they need sooner. I’ve brought together midwives, doctors, campaigners and women to push for fairer maternal care.
Farming and our rural communities have been at the heart of much of my work. I’ve visited farms in every corner of the constituency, and heard from young farmers concerned about bad trade deals threatening to undercut our high quality produce with cheap imports.
I’ve done my best to help win local fights that matter. I’ve taken on Southern Water more than once, helping a local farmer win compensation from them after a sewage spill, and fought for fairness for those in park homes ensuring their energy, connectivity and rent concerns were heard, securing refunds from Southern Water for overcharging.
As we prepare for the next year in Parliament, my commitment and energy won’t fade. Whether it’s to secure funding for our hospital in Winchester, cleaning up our precious chalk streams, tackling the cost of living, protecting our local farms from bad trade deals, our local businesses or our most vulnerable neighbours from cuts, I’ll keep showing up, speaking out, and delivering change.
My team and I are ready to help, so if there are any issues or concerns you have, get in touch at danny.chambers.mp@parliament.uk
