COMMUNITY

New Alresford Town Council

Coronavirus – Non medical support The Town Council together with PIGS, Churches Together and Rotary are setting up a support structure to assist those in need where friends, family and neighbours are unable to help. This is a collaborative initiative with local groups to care for our residents in the area and is supported by Winchester Rural Policing Team. This will include street co-ordinators across the town to help re-enforce the neighbourhood support, which we are in the process of creating .

The New Arlesford Coordination Hub will be open between 8am and 8pm and can be contacted via

Phone - 01962 674990 Email - nacordinationhub@gmail.com This will not replace the current support systems in place offered by other agencies but is aimed at those with a genuine need for additional measures in relation to the Coronavirus. New Alresford Town Council is monitoring government advice daily and will publish any additional information on the Council website (above) and Facebook page. Regularly updated information is available on Public Health England (www.gov.uk), NHS (www.nhs.uk), national tv and radio.

Hampshire Adult Services (HAS)

Offer safeguard services if you or someone you know is feeling vulnerable. HAS can be contacted on 0300 555 1386 or 0300 555 1373 out of hours. Do call NHS advice line on 111 if you cannot get assistance online. Do not visit the surgery if you are feeling unwell under any circumstance without first speaking to them on the telephone.

How can you Help

For those that are healthy we are seeking volunteers that can give support in any way, that may be local shopping, conduct deliveries and any other actions that may arise. If you can offer your services please contact the dedicated email address newalresfordtc@gmail.com with your details. Any personal details collated will comply with Data Protection Act 2018.

New Alresford is a caring community so please be aware of neighbours especially those with underlying medical conditions or those that are vulnerable. Let’s continue to support each other and our local businesses whilst keeping yourself and those you are helping safe.
