Amazing TOTS is a discovery-based multi-sport program tailored specifically to children 18 months to 2 ½ years. Amazing TOTS introduces and guides athletes through structured physical activities and motor experiences designed to develop six motor skillsBALANCING, RUNNING, THROWING, CATCHING, KICKING, JUMPING. Each class builds motor skills using one of five sports: BASKETBALL, SOCCER, FOOTBALL, VOLLEYBALL, TRACK & FIELD. Amazing TOTS classes are fun, imaginative and interactive. Each class uses age-appropriate, developmental milestones and is designed with progressions to meet the individual needs of each toddler, based on attention span and physical abilities. Our 20 -25 mins. weekly curriculum includes fitness and sport discovery, nutrition, learning, social skills, color and shape recognition, song, basic counting, rich new terminology, muscle identification and FUN…all in one! Amazing Athletes is the premier year-round developmental physical fitness program empowering children aged 2 ½ to 6 years old to reach developmental milestones at an individual pace. At Amazing Athletes, we use sports as a catalyst to meet the needs of the whole child through sports-based fitness classes designed to advance each child’s individual motor-skills and inspire future participation in physical activity. Amazing Athletes empowers children using the fundamentals of 10 sports: Basketball | Football | Soccer | Volleyball | Tennis | Hockey | Golf | Lacrosse | Baseball | Track and Field. During our 30-35 minute weekly classes, children learn the importance of patience, teamwork, and self-confidence in a non-competitive, learning-based environment that fosters a love of healthy living. Teams of Tomorrow (TOT) is a unique music and movement basketball handling program for boys and girls ages 3-7. TOT teaches 25 ball handling skills, eye-hand coordination, agility, and gross motor skills using FUN music! TOT lessons also incorporate academics! We cover mixing colors, shapes, numbers (in English, Spanish, & French,) senses, and vowels! ADULT TENNIS REC LEAGUE

Rec league is a great introduction to team tennis with a round-robin format. Players must know rules of tennis, how to score, and how to serve. There will be 3 sets played with modified scoring to prevent long playtime. Participants need to bring a can of unopened hardcourt tennis balls on the first day.

ADULT MATCH PRACTICE

This class is designed for the student who is able to serve without much double faulting, can keep score, and is ready to practice strategy involved in the game of doubles as well as singles. Fortyfive minutes will be devoted to stroke development and the last forty-five minutes to supervised match play.

DRAWING AND PAINTING CAMP

Campers will explore various painting and drawing materials and techniques while creating their own masterpieces. Projects will be themed, but campers will be given the opportunity to add their own creative touch. Please send campers in old clothing. Amazing Athletes is the premiere educational multi-sport program in the nation. ISSHIN-RYU & SHINKENDO

Isshin-Ryu, a traditional form of Okinawan Karate, emphasizes practical teaching and hands-on instruction to teach self-defense. Shinkendo; Come learn the authentic way of samurai swordsmanship, Shinkendo. Shinkendo is a non-competitive martial art inspired by over 1200 years of samurai history and its techniques are taken from the practical methods once used by the samurai. Students will learn the five important aspects of swordsmanship: swinging, drawing, solo forms, sparring and test cutting (outside of class only). American Mah Jongg is a four-player tile game with Chinese origins. Enjoy a fun and educational three-hours of double rope technique (DRT) tree climbing at Sawnee Mountain Preserve’s giant white oak tree. Our professional instructors will provide safe instruction on basic tree climbing equipment, safety, and climbing techniques. Participants will learn to ascend ropes high into the branches. Instructors will always promote Challenge by Choice. This means that it is up to each participant to decide how and if they want to challenge themselves in the activity. THERAPEUTIC RECREATION CAMPS

TR OUT-OF-SCHOOL CAMPS

These camps will provide a fun and structured schedule of indoor activities including games, arts and crafts, music, sports, and theme related activities. Camp hours are 9 am to 4 pm and extended care is available for an additional cost, starting with early drop-off at 7:30am and extending to late pick up until 5:30pm. Campers will need to bring a non-perishable sack lunch, 2 snacks, and a water bottle. Each child must have a completed Therapeutic Recreation Participant Information Form and a Seizure Information Form (if applicable) on file prior to the start of camp. Staff ratio will be 1:3 - 1:4 depending on the number of campers. Parents/guardians must sign in and out every day. An ID will be required for pick-up. Any change in pick-up or carpooling arrangements must be arranged in the morning for that day's afternoon pick up. The charge for late pick up is $1 per minute late per child. In order to best meet each camper's individual needs, we ask that parents/guardians inform us of any accommodations needed at the time of registration and/or at least 10 days in advance of the camp. Note: Siblings of registered Therapeutic Recreation members are welcome at the same registration fee.

B.E.S.T.Fit (Balance, Endurance, Stability, Tone) is a spinoff of a Barre Class. We will replace the Barre with chairs, so that everyone can properly distance themselves from each other. Still using the Barre inspired moves from Ballet, Pilates, Yoga and Strength training the chair will provide the means of balance and stability. Balls and light weights will be used in this class. INTERMEDIATE WEIGHTLIFTING

This 5-week class is an intermediate level weightlifting class. Instructors will assist participants in designing an individualized workout plan concentrating on strength, flexibility and endurance. Workouts will include isolated muscle groups and circuit or pyramid weight training. Depending on the skill level of the participant, there may be some free weight training sessions. Participants will learn proper warm-up and cool-down exercises as well as weightlifting terminology (including reps, sets and rest intervals).
