• Full payment is due at the time of registration
• Payment options are cash, personal check, money order or MasterCard/Visa
• An additional 20% will be added to all out-of-country resident activity registration

Outdoor Early Release Climbing Camps
Our Early Release Camps offer a fun afternoon of outdoor exploration, games, and activities at Sawnee Mountain Preserve—perfect for making the most of those shorter school days!
Join us for this fun camp where children will participate in games, art and other fun activities. Extended Care - $60 if a 3 week session, $80 if a 4 week session and $100 if a 5 week session, per child with times between 7:30-9am.
Kids are natural creators. As they dive into our LEGO® collections, they explore engineering and physics, learn to collaborate, and create fearlessly. It’s joyful—and the impact lasts.
Our goal is to help the children feel confident exploring nature, being inquisitive about science, and knowing their role as environmental stewards. To encourage curiosity and creativity, students will go on nature hikes, create crafts and take part in hands-on activities that support their developmental and academic needs as early learners. Homeschool Science: Core Explorer
Embark on a dynamic science enrichment journey tailored for homeschoolers! Over each 10-week semester, our program rotates through the five branches of science—General Science, Life Science, Earth Science, Physical Science, and Environmental Science. Students will develop elementary science skills through direct observation, experiments, and hands-on learning activities.

Enjoy a 90-minute Stand-Up-Paddleboard Yoga class that starts with a quick lesson on paddle safety and basics. Learn to Play Disc Golf
Learn the fundamentals of disc golf in a fun, supportive setting! Taught by members of the Forsyth County Disc Golf Club, this beginner-friendly class introduces homeschooled students to throwing techniques, rules of the game, and course etiquette—no experience needed! Each participant will receive a free disc.
Outdoor Excursions
Join us for a diverse range of experiences designed for all skill levels, led by our skilled trip leaders and facilitators. Unless otherwise noted, transportation, leadership, and logistical planning are included, no prior experience is necessary.
Amazing TOTS is a discovery-based multi-sport program tailored specifically to children 18 months to 2 ½ years. Amazing TOTS introduces and guides athletes through structured physical activities and motor experiences designed to develop six motor skills- balancing, running, throwing, catching, kicking, jumping. Each class builds motor skills using one of five sports: basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, track & field. Each class uses age-appropriate, developmental milestones.
Amazing Athletes
Amazing Athletes’ educational multi-sport program introduces children to the fundamentals of 10 sports in a fun, non-competitive environment. It helps them develop physical literacy, learn about nutrition and muscle identification, and master six key motor skills. Amazing Athletes is the leading year-round developmental physical fitness program, empowering children to reach milestones and progress at their own pace.

Developed by experts in Kinesiology and sports instruction, Little Champs promotes balance, strength, coordination, left/ right skills and gross motor skills while building self-confidence and a team attitude. Children will also be introduced to general skills in t-ball, soccer and more.
Lil’ Swishers
A unique program designed to help young ladies develop basketball skills using fun and challenging games. An emphasis will be placed on offensive skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting as well as understanding the rules of the game.

Pro Shot Shooting
The internationally acclaimed Pro Shot System, endorsed by Bob Hurley, Rick Pitino, Mike Jarvis and many more, has been utilized successfully by thousands of players at every level. The foundation of the Pro Shot System is encapsulated in the acronym F.O.R.E.S.T.
This unique program will help young ladies develop basketball skills in a fun, competitive environment that simulates and exaggerates game level pressure, yet encourages them to experiment and try new things. Soundbath Workshop
Soulful Self-Care Sound Bath Experience is a restorative experience combining breathwork, guided meditation, and crystal bowl sound healing to calm the nervous system, clear mental clutter, and reconnect you to your inner wisdom. Expect to be gently guided through practices that promote deep relaxation, emotional release, and energetic alignment. This workshop is ideal for anyone feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or simply in need of grounding and renewal.
This class weaves together somatic movement and therapeutic ball rolling with restorative yoga to calm the nervous system, awaken body awareness, and restore natural balance. You’ll release deeply held tension, ease pain, and improve mobility while re-educating your muscles and mind to move with greater efficiency and ease.

Learn the basic skills of pickleball in a fun indoor environment! The instructor teaches the basics of the game, scoring, and the importance of the area known as - the kitchen. The goal of this program is to develop skills, learn rules, and basic strategy to start playing this popular game.
Pickleball Rec League
This is a great way to meet fellow pickleball players in a fun, competitive environment. Each league targets a different demographic and/or skill level, so you should only sign up for one night. League format and play times may vary. Players should be able to sustain a rally and know the rules & scoring. If you are just starting out in pickleball we suggest coming to “open play” instead, or visiting the “Instructional Pickleball Class” info on this website.

Tennis Classes
Tennis 101
Our Tennis 101 program is for players new to tennis or returning to the sport after some time and will focus on basic strokes and fundamentals! Class will teach forehand, backhand, serve and volley, and scoring. Students will continue to build on skills and techniques each session and are encouraged to repeat this class until they feel confident with the fundamental strokes.
Tennis 201 is the next step for aspiring tennis players who wish to continue to develop stroke mechanics and work on getting the ball in to play. This program will also introduce participants to match play strategy. Participants need to provide their own racket.

Hot Shots Tennis
Have fun learning tennis fundamentals! Children will participate in fun games and drills to increase general athleticism and improve gross motor skills. Bring a racquet to class.
Through fun, skill-building games beginners through advanced beginners will learn and develop fundamental tennis strokes. Students are encouraged to repeat this class until they feel confident with the fundamental strokes.
Close Quarter Systemic Ju-jitsu is a practical format of self-defense based on Japanese Ju-Jitsu. It integrates the combination of strikes, blocking strikes, kicks, joint locking, throws, nerve strikes, and pressure points strikes based on Centerline Structure with blending, redirecting, and capturing, by attacking the attack and the attacker simultaneously.

Karate Zoo
KARATE ZOO teaches the fundamentals of martial arts combined with important life skills. It is a comprehensive, skill-based development program using the foundations of martial arts training to help kids develop comprehensively and holistically into the best version of themselves. We target 10 main skill areas in our program so children can develop not only physically, but intellectually, emotionally, and socially as well.
Kung Fu
This class will teach traditional Kung Fu, modern Wushu and the 18 traditional martial arts armaments. Class will cover self-defense skills in single person forms, two-person drills and sophisticated fist and armament forms.

Seibukan
Shorin Ryun Seibukan is an Okinanwan style of Karate. Master Dan Smith and his son Allen are the instructors at Coal Mountain Karate, the mentors of this Central Recreation Dojo. Ben Scott will be the principle instructor. We have over 100 years of Seibukan experience to teach.
Practicing Taekwondo helps improve physical and mental health along with self-esteem, focus, confidence and self discipline. The program in Forsyth County will be run by Prasad Dharmavarapu 4th Degree Black Belt who has been practicing Taekwondo for more than 15 years. He is a certified coach and umpire in ITF Taekwondo. There will be a 50% discount for each additional family member.
Tai Chi is an exercise system that uses slow, smooth body movements and has both physical and mental benefits. The practice of Tai Chi helps to lower blood pressure, relieve stress, strengthen the immune system, as well as improve muscle tone, flexibility, balance and coordination.
Gymnastics Classes
All ages and skill levels will explore a variety of gymnastics’ elements to develop physically as well as socially in a safe and fun atmosphere. Through practicing skills and drills from session to session each child is given the ability to move into more complex variations and routines as their skill levels improve. Siblings who are not registered for class will not be allowed on the class floor. Children must be age appropriate by the first class. Dress code is tucked in shirt with shorts/pants. Parents are asked to wait outside the classroom during the class unless noted otherwise.
Toddler Time
Children will engage in social interaction with others while still under the direct supervision of a parent or caregiver (one per child.) Children will tumble, jump, balance and swing in an open format class while parents are educated in safe activities and body movements. This program is designed to enhance gross/fine motor skills and social skills such as sharing and self-control.
Children will tumble, jump, balance and swing in a fun and safe atmosphere. This is a structured and success oriented class where students are grouped by age and skill level. As skill mastery occurs new and different skills are explored.
Gymnastics K+ classes are for children who are already in school and must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025. Children will participate in a variety of gymnastics activities in a structured and success-oriented class. Students will tumble, jump, balance and swing in a fun and safe atmosphere.
Children ages 5+ who have passed skill tests will practice routines and drills so they may develop techniques and skill precision in all gymnastics events. Parents are asked to wait outside the classroom during class. Leotards are required. TEAM is by invitation only. additional fees apply.

Ballroom Dance
Ballroom I/II - Have fun learning the fundamentals of ballroom dance. The instructor will teach the Fox Trot and Waltz while covering lead and follow, patterns and footwork, posture and holding your frame. Students are encouraged to repeat this class until they feel confident with the fundamentals.
Ballroom III/IV - This class is for students who have mastered the core fundamentals taught in the level I/II class and want to continue improving their technique by adding more variety and extended patterns.
Have fun learning the fundamentals of Latin Ballroom dance. The instructor will teach the most popular styles of Latin Ballroom like the Salsa and Rumba in this class, while covering lead and follow, patterns and footwork, posture and holding your frame. This class is designed for all levels and students are encouraged to repeat this class.
Line Dancing offers a fun and easy activity to get low-impact exercise with no previous dance experience. In this class you will learn the essentials of line dance and get movin’ and groovin’ to all kinds of rhythms including Country, R&B, Top 40, Oldies, Hip Hop and Latin.

Swing I/II - Students will have fun learning and practicing the most popular types of Swing Dance. This is an energetic class to get you dancing! Students are encouraged to repeat this class until they feel confident with the fundamentals.
Swing III/IV - This class is for students that have mastered the core fundamentals taught in the level I/II class and want to continue improving their technique.
Beginner Combo Dancers will learn the basic elements of Ballet along with pre tap elements. Combo dance will build a solid foundation in Ballet techniques and terminology. Combo dance will build a solid foundation in Ballet techniques and terminology. Tap will include more detailed technique , exercises and combinations to develop rhythm, musicality and coordination.
Creative Movement & Dance
The below youth dance programs are presented by Creative Movement and Dance, Inc. a premier on-site dance instruction company that provides professional quality dance programs. The school year program is held from September to December with a recital in December. There are no additional fees for recitals.

Out of School Camps
These camps are designed for participants who are currently enrolled in school. The curriculum will provide a fun and structured schedule of indoor and outdoor activities including games, arts and crafts, music, sports, and theme related activities. Camp hours are 9 am to 4 pm and extended care* is available for an additional cost, starting with early drop-off at 7:30am and extending to late pick up until 5:30pm. Campers will need to bring a non-perishable sack lunch, 2 snacks, and a water bottle. *(min. of 4 participants required) Each child must have a completed Therapeutic Recreation Participant Information Form and a Seizure Information Form (if applicable) on file prior to the start of camp. Staff ratio will be 1:3 - 1:4 depending on the number of campers.
Whether your child is a beginner or an up-and-coming artist, we will work with them to encourage their unique creative expression! Participants should wear clothes that can get messy, as many art mediums may stain. For those requiring one-on-one assistance, a program buddy is recommended.

B.E.S.T. Fit
B.E.S.T. Fit (Balance, Endurance, Stability, Tone) is a spinoff of a Barre Class. We will replace the Barre with chairs, so that everyone can properly distance themselves from each other; while still using the Barre inspired moves from Ballet, Pilates, Yoga and Strength training.
Boys Night Out is a program designed for young men ages 16 and older.
Caring for Cats
Caring for Cats is a cooperative program with the Fur Kids Animal Rescue. Participants will be introduced to a variety of chores including feeding and grooming the cats being cared for by the Animal Rescue.
Floral Design
Participants will learn the basics of floral design and assemble a fresh floral arrangement to take home.
Friday Night Bowling
The TR Program’s monthly bowling program is held on the third Friday of the month at Stars & Strikes. This program is $20 PreRegistration ONLY! Cost includes bowling, shoes, pizza, and drinks.

Fun Around Forsyth
Fun Around Forsyth is a monthly program designed for teenagers and adults that offers opportunities to participate in special events around Forsyth County.
Girls Night Out
Girls Night Out is a program designed specifically for girls 16 years old and older.
Life Skills Bootcamp
TR Life Skills Bootcamp is a four-week program designed for our participants with developmental disabilities to develop essential life skills. This interactive program provides participants with practical tools to increase independence and confidence in daily life. This is a therapeutic recreation program designed for participants with special needs who are ages 13 and older and require minimal assistance.

Parents Night Out
Drop your kids and go! This monthly program gives parents the chance to catch up on errands, get a workout in, or have a date night. TR staff will provide a variety of activities including table games, open gym time, and a movie. Pizza will be served for dinner along with some additional snacks and drinks. If there are dietary concerns, please feel free to bring a meal and staff will assist.

Therapeutic Recreation Sports
Dream Runners
This program is a weekly special needs walking/running group that meets at the Fowler Park Track. Each participant is matched with a Program Buddy volunteer as a walking/running partner.
Intermediate Weightlifting
This monthly class is an intermediate-level weightlifting program. Instructors will assist participants in designing individualized workout plans focusing on strength, flexibility, and endurance. This co-ed program is open to individuals ages 14 and older.
