Planning For The Future
At Forest Holme Hospice we understand how important it is to take the time and make a Will to ensure that your money and assets are given to the people and causes you care about most. It’s really easy to think that you’ll get around to it one day when life isn’t quite so busy, but sometimes that day doesn’t come.

Therefore, it’s best to plan ahead and give yourself great peace of mind knowing that you have put your affairs in order. By doing this, you might also be relieving your loved ones of any added stress they may have at a very sad and difficult time. For example, did you know that if you die intestate there is a risk that your estate could end up belonging to the Government?
With this in mind, we have recently produced a legacy leaflet which helps to explain some of the benefits of making a Will, and if you choose to, the lasting impact of leaving a gift to the work of Forest Holme. As a small gesture of our thanks a metal bird plaque, featuring your name, will adorn our new Celebration of Life tree in the hospice’s garden (see page 38).
Forest Holme is incredibly fortunate to have been remembered by some of those we’ve had the privilege to care for over the years and we’d like to extend our thanks to the late Malcolm (Tommy) Thomas, his son Alan, Jackie Penny, Stuart Brooker and the late Debbie Anne Such who have recently donated a gift to us as a thank you for the comfort given whilst caring for Malcolm and Debbie.
We would like to thank everyone who has remembered us in this way as they have played a significant part in supporting the life-enhancing care given by all of the hospice’s teams to local people and their loved ones in the past, the present and for the future. 39 3935
