In 1993, Simon established Hirsh Log Homes and began leaving his own distinct mark on the Whistler landscape through his own innovative and custom approach to building.

Simon brought what he had cultivated out west to Ontario in 2002.

By adapting the skills he honed on the Whistler mountainside, he has now transformed the Muskoka waterfront and landscape, as well.

Each Hirsh custom design begins with a spark ignited by his client’s vision. Simon’s imagination, expertise and in-depth understanding of the Muskoka area are integral in the realization of his luxury vacation retreats.

Simon’s recent foray in to lakeside luxury condos has produced Port Carling’s newest landmark and master plan community, Edgewater. Gently hugging the southern face of the Indian River, Edgewater features the Boathouse condos where, once again, Simon has broken the mold for luxury vacation living.

The concept for Edgewater on Lake Muskoka was born from a sincere desire to rid Port Carling of a mess created by a previously abandoned development project. Simon turned to the Township of Muskoka Lakes for ideas and he was able to incorporate their desire for a multiuse residential, retail and a pedestrian-friendly development into his vision.

Each unit boasts the privacy and greenery of a country retreat, and its own built-in boathouse.

Edgewater is just the beginning of what is on the horizon for the Hirsh Development Group.

Most recently, Simon’s collaboration with esteemed and internationally acclaimed Toronto designer, Lori Morris, on Forest Hill’s boutique condominium development, 200 Russell Hill, introduced yet another unique synergy for his business. Simon’s dynamic approach to design and construction and Lori’s incredible and original décor seemed like a natural fit for further collaborations.

Hence, Simon and Lori will be joining forces for custom projects in the Muskoka area. Located in Port Carling, the home of their new venture will allow each of them to combine their particular talents; his, to continue to personally design and draft every home that bears the Hirsh name; hers, to guarantee attention to customized detail, luxury and practicability.

Twenty–three years ago, Simon Hirsh had planned on spending a year in Whistler, British Columbia to indulge his passion for snowboarding. Enchanted by the innovative architecture in the region, he stayed on to explore what would soon become his true calling; building exemplary structures idyllically situated in picturesque settings. Together with local master craftsmen, he collaborated on ideas outside conventional log and timber home construction taking advantage of extraordinary vistas and awesome heights.

In 1993, Simon established Hirsh Log Homes and began leaving his own distinct mark on the Whistler landscape through his own innovative and custom approach to building.

Simon brought what he had cultivated out west to Ontario in 2002.

By adapting the skills he honed on the Whistler mountainside, he has now transformed the Muskoka waterfront and landscape, as well.

Each Hirsh custom design begins with a spark ignited by his client’s vision. Simon’s imagination, expertise and in-depth understanding of the Muskoka area are integral in the realization of his luxury vacation retreats.

Simon’s recent foray in to lakeside luxury condos has produced Port Carling’s newest landmark and master plan community, Edgewater. Gently hugging the southern face of the Indian River, Edgewater features the Boathouse condos where, once again, Simon has broken the mold for luxury vacation living.

The concept for Edgewater on Lake Muskoka was born from a sincere desire to rid Port Carling of a mess created by a previously abandoned development project. Simon turned to the Township of Muskoka Lakes for ideas and he was able to incorporate their desire for a multiuse residential, retail and a pedestrian-friendly development into his vision.

Each unit boasts the privacy and greenery of a country retreat, and its own built-in boathouse.

Edgewater is just the beginning of what is on the horizon for the Hirsh Development Group.

Most recently, Simon’s collaboration with esteemed and internationally acclaimed Toronto designer, Lori Morris, on Forest Hill’s boutique condominium development, 200 Russell Hill, introduced yet another unique synergy for his business. Simon’s dynamic approach to design and construction and Lori’s incredible and original décor seemed like a natural fit for further collaborations.

Hence, Simon and Lori will be joining forces for custom projects in the Muskoka area. Located in Port Carling, the home of their new venture will allow each of them to combine their particular talents; his, to continue to personally design and draft every home that bears the Hirsh name; hers, to guarantee attention to customized detail, luxury and practicability.
