SPEAKER SERIES BEGINS
FRIENDS Faithful
Faithful Friends gathered on the evening of Thursday, April 27, at the Marnie and Kern Wildenthal Education Center, to participate in the first of a three-part educational speaker series entitled, “Understanding Grief for All Ages.” Although grief is a universal experience, the grieving process is unique to each individual.
This first portion of the series covered the topic of “Understanding Family Grief.” During her presentation, Danette Muzic, Executive Director at Faith Presbyterian Hospice, shared the unique ways family members experience grief. She explained that while factors like culture, education, socioeconomic status and location can influence grief processing, age is also a strong contributing factor. Read more.

On May 2, the Forefront Living Foundation (FLF) will hold its firstever Music Therapy Fundraising Dinner. This elegant evening of music, cocktails and dinner is designed to raise funds to benefit the Faith Presbyterian Hospice Music Therapy program.

The Faith Presbyterian Hospice (FPH) Spring Memorial will be held on the campus of the T Boone Pickens Hospice Center Saturday, April 29, 2023 This annual event, established to celebrate the lives of loved ones lost throughout the past year, is open to the public through a reservation system More than 200 participants are expected to attend
The program will include elements led by various FPH teammates including chaplains, music therapists and more Each family in attendance will receive a butterfly to release at the grand finale of the program Light refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the memorial service

The roster for Camp Erin DFW is full, and families are gearing up for camp! Over the course of the next month, meetings will be held for the more than 25 families (41 children), eight Faith Presbyterian Hospice teammates and 17 volunteers scheduled to attend camp to prepare for a magical weekend, June 2-4, 2023.

April is National Volunteer Month, a month dedicated to honoring volunteers and encouraging volunteerism, and PVN residents thoroughly enjoy being involved in the greater Dallas community through volunteer work. With this in mind, teammates and residents at Presbyterian Village North have partnered to volunteer regularly at The Stewpot, a ministry of First Presbyterian Church in Dallas, offering a safe haven for homeless and at-risk citizens.
