We recently celebrated Read Across America in our third-grade classroom. The students were allowed to wear hats that day. Wyatt came up to me and said, “Mrs. Boston look at my new hat I got”. You can imagine the excitement I had, when the hat said Floyds on it because I knew it came from my nephew and brother’s dealership. I told him “Well, that is an awesome hat, Wyatt!” “I’ll have to take a picture and send it to my brother and nephew” The rest of the day Wyatt wore his Floyds hat with pride. Wyatt Stumpf hopes to be a 3rd generation trucker and he enjoys going on hauls with his grandpa and dad. Stumpf Trucking has been in business since 1998 and is stationed out of Spearfish, SD. Ed Stumpf is the owner operator and can be seen on the road in a teal 1998 Freightliner while Grandpa Stumpf can be seen in a blue 1994 Peterbilt. Wyatt hopes to buy Grandpa’s truck once he retires. Stumpf Trucking has cattle pots, flatbeds and grain trailer which keeps the boys busy. - Holly Boston, 3rd Grade Elementary School Teacher
Recruitment table and interviews held at WyoTech were a success! Many great conversations were had, hopefully we’ll see some of these fresh faces after graduation. - Mark Felker
If you went to the dictionary right now and looked up “cool” you’d probably see a picture of Daniel (Dobbie) who works at the back parts counter in Casper. Watch the video to see this man in action or find him on TikTok @xx_anoobis_xx - Michael Gillam

What are your hobbies? My fiance and I shoot in an archery leagues and we do a lot hunting. What was your last adventure? My last adventure was buying a new dodge charger and joy riding most of the night with my fiance. What’s the most exciting thing you are working on right now? The most exciting thing that I am currently working on is gearing up and preparing to wed my fiance. What’s your secret talent no one knows about? I grew up in a musically inclined family and can sing pretty well. What’s your superpower? I can replace DPF filters in 48 mins properly. How would you describe your job to a class of kindergartners? I would start by asking the class if they have seen semis or the big trucks on the roads before, I’d follow up with telling them I am in charge of making sure the people driving those trucks and the people around those trucks are get their jobs done efficiently and make it home safely back to their families. What skill do you think everyone should learn? I think everyone should know how to manage their time effectively. What motivates you? What motives me the most is having a
reason to come to work and work my hardest. For me that’s my little family that I have started, so they can live their best life. (By their I mean my fiance, three dogs and soon, hopefully children.) Any favorite line from a movie or show? “It ain’t about how hard you hit. Its about how hard you get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!” - Sylvester Stallone If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? If I won the lottery I honestly think the first thing I would do is buy my fiance and I’s dream home, then I’d throw a hefty chunk into an IRA. What’s one item you can’t live without? The one thing I could not live without is my fiance. If you could invite anyone dead or alive to dinner who would it be and why? I would invite Johnny cash to dinner so we could play music together afterwards. If you were on death row what would you request for your last meal? My final meal would have to be steak, sweet corn on the cob, and smoked homemade mac n cheese.
Meet Carla Hernandez SCOTTSBLUFF, NE | 5 YR OF SERVICE
What are your hobbies? • I love spending time with my family • Having game nights • I love to cook What was your last adventure? My last adventure was traveling to Dallas, Texas. Our close friends surprised my husband and I with a trip to see a Dallas Cowboys game as our wedding gift. It was a great time!
What was your first job? My first job was at the age of 14 and I worked at Perkins as a busser. What motivates you? My family and friends motivate me to be a better person than I was the day before. Everyone has different outlooks on life and I take pieces of those differences to motivate me daily.
Any favorite line from a movie or show? “I’m gonna make him an offer he can’t refuse.” - The Godfather If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? I would probably start crying! What’s one item you can’t live without? I can’t live without coffee. It has become a bad habit of mine.

Taste This Strawberry Pretzel Salad INGREDIENTS 6 oz strawberry Jell-O 2 cups boiling water

1/2 cup granulated sugar
8 oz cool whip, thawed in the fridge 1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

When pretzels have cooled, use an electric hand mixer to beat 8 oz cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar on med/high speed until fluffy and white. Fold in 8 oz Cool Whip until no streaks of cream cheese remain. Spread mixture over cooled pretzels, spreading to the edges of the dish to create a tight seal. Refrigerate 30 min. 4. Pour and spread strawberry jello mixture evenly over your cooled cream cheese layer and refrigerate until jello is set (2-4 hours).
Meet Ryan Whetham FT. PIERRE, SD | 1 YR 4 M OF SERVICE
When did you first learn about rodeo poker? Going to rodeo’s as a kid, they always had some type of bull poker for entertainment. What encouraged you to play in your first match/round? Stupidity... How many would you say you’ve participated in now? Have you ever won or gotten close to winning? I’ve participated in 2 so far, though you never really win in this event.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen happen in rodeo poker? It’s all crazy. They get 8 VOLUNTEERS to sit still, and let a rodeo bull with horns and a flank strap run you over until the last man sitting. Grand Prize is a belt buckle. What’s the worst injury you’ve received from participating? I’ve been fortunate so far, just scrapes and bruises. Any advice for others interested in participating? Wear cleats, don’t let go of the table, and NEVER MOVE! What’s the most exciting thing you are working on right now? My rain dance. What was your last adventure? Having my first child and everything that entails. What are your hobbies? • Farming • Hunting • Fishing • Cornhole
Meet Shania Biers RAPID CITY, SD | 1 YR 9 M OF SERVICE What are your hobbies? • Paddle boarding • Hiking • Crafting • Reading • Learning something new
on this has refreshed my soul in a way. I love being creative and crafty and this is my way of sharing it with others. If you want more information about it feel free to reach out :)
What was your last adventure? My last adventure was about 2 weeks ago. I went down to New Orleans, Louisiana with friends from college. This was our third trip down there together (It’s sort of a tradition now I guess) We played like the locals do and headed towards a block party to celebrate Saint Patrick’s day only we ended up finding out we were attending an elementary school fundraiser instead - great music and people all around. Out of all our travels together we all agreed, NOLA has the kindest locals. After contributing to higher education we spent our days exploring the garden district, zoo, and local fare.
What was your first job? My first job was at 16 with Dressbarn as a sales associate. My accomplishments there included being a leader in credit card sign-ups as well as assisting with the on floor training of new staff. Though the best part of the job was helping our routine customers that traveled to Rapid just to shop. My favorite was a woman named Mary who lived in Canada and started weight lifting in her retirement! What’s your superpower? I would say ambition. I will always try and do something myself before I outsource or ask for help - at times this is also a downfall of mine.
What motivates you? I have yet to do anything worth living for or feel proud of anything I’ve done, so in a way it would suck to die at this time in my life and that’s pretty motivating. Favorite quote? “Getting up is optional, Getting down is mandatory.” If you could invite anyone dead or alive to dinner who would it be and why? I would invite the third head librarian of the Library of Alexandria, Eratosthenes of Cyrene (lived c. 280–c. 194 BC) He is best known today for his scientific works, but he was also a literary scholar. Eratosthenes’ most important work was his treatise Geographika. Eratosthenes was the first scholar to apply mathematics to geography and map-making.
I want to know about all the things he has read and What’s the most exciting What skill do you think learned through his work thing you are working on everyone should learn? and studies at the Library of right now? I think every person needs to Alexandria. To be able to pick Right now I’m in the middle of know how to grow, harvest, through all the knowledge that starting up an online boutique. and store food for themselves. has been lost to us after the It’s all official and ready in I’d love for victory gardens to burning of the library would be the legal sense but I’m still make a comeback!! There is a wonderful opportunity. working with suppliers and much to be gained physically gathering inventory to launch and spiritually in being more early this summer. Working self sustaining.
