MAINSTAGE SEASON SPONSORS
CHARLOTTE & BOB OTTO
It is a joy to sponsor the 2025 season of world-class productions created right here at Flat Rock Playhouse.
We hope you enjoy the show.
Thank you for supporting Flat Rock Playhouse.
Dear esteemed patrons,
As we prepare to take to the stage, we are reminded of the profound impact that your presence has on our craft. You are the spark that ignites the flame of our passion, the wind that fills the sails of our creativity, and the sunshine that nourishes the bloom of our art.
As artists, we are driven by an insatiable desire to create, to express, and to connect with others through our work. But this desire would remain unfulfilled without the vital support and appreciation that you, our dear patrons, provide. You are the raisond’être of our endeavors, the reason why we toil and strive to bring forth the best that is within us.
Your presence in our theatre is not merely a pleasure, but a necessity. Without you, our words would fall on deaf ears, our movements would be mere gestures, and our music would be but a silent melody.
And yet, because of you, we are able to do what we love most in the world. We are able to lose ourselves in the thrill of storytelling, to find ourselves in the applause and accolades, and to rediscover ourselves in the joy and wonder of creation.
So, we offer our deepest gratitude to each one of you. Thank you for being our inspiration, our motivation, and our reward. Thank you for allowing us to share our art with you, and for being a part of the grand tapestry that is our collective experience.
We hope that you will continue to join us on this wondrous journey, to laugh with us, to cry with us, and to be moved by the beauty and power of the human spirit. For in the end, it is not just a play that we present to you, but a reflection of all of us: our hopes, our dreams, and our very humanity.
With appreciation and respect,
Lisa K. Bryant

Producing live theatre, by its very nature, creates a vibrant community—one that fosters connection, growth, and creative exploration, from backstage to center stage to the house seats.
Community begins offstage. Our talented staff, crew, and artists collaborate for weeks—sometimes months—to bring each production to life. From the stage floor to the lighting grid, every element is meticulously crafted. Our team brings their education, experience, and passion, making every performance at Flat Rock Playhouse a one-of-a-kind experience. As each production is unique, requiring deep collaboration, cultivating opportunities for continued learning and growth.
That sense of community carries onto the stage. During the casting, our artistic team thoughtfully assembles ensembles that not only fit the roles but also complement one another—artistically and personally. The rehearsal process demands vulnerability, trust, and dedication. As the cast works together to shape a production, bonds form that enhance their performances bringing authenticity and emotional depth to the stage. When artists unite in harmony, something magical happens— a spark that ignites not only among the performers but in the hearts of everyone watching.
Each production is crafted with care, heart, and an unwavering commitment to excellence making every moment on stage as impactful and unforgettable as possible. Through this process, not only do stories come to life, but the individuals involved grow—as artists, as collaborators, and as people.
This growth is then passed to the final and most vital piece of the puzzle: you—our audience. Once the curtain rises, community extends into the seats. Each performance becomes a shared moment between strangers who laugh together, gasp together, and are moved together. Live theatre offers a rare and powerful form of connection, allowing us to feel deeply and reflect together. In those moments, a collective understanding is born—one that we carry with us beyond the theatre walls. As a patron, you are not just an observer; you are a participant in this living, breathing art form. Your presence is essential to the magic of live theatre and to the community that makes it so meaningful.
I am proud to represent a professional producing theatre that believes in the transformative power of community. It is my privilege to help ensure that Flat Rock continues to be a space where creativity thrives, connections are forged, and unforgettable experiences are shared.
Together, we make theatre. Together, we build community. Thank you for being a patron of Flat Rock Playhouse.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, thank you for being a part of the Flat Rock Playhouse family. We are proud to be a professional producing theatre with the mission of enriching lives through the art of theatre.
So, what does it mean to be a producing theatre? It means everything you see is planned, crafted, and presented right here on The Rock. The scenery, the costumes, the props, the choreography, the direction, the performers—everything that goes into a show… it all happens here.
But that’s not all. We offer classes and performance opportunities for the next generation of theatre artists through our Playhouse Jr. and Apprentice programs. We are in the schools, reaching more than 10,000 students and teachers. And we Rock Out! to bring performances to the community.
None of this happens without you. We appreciate your support as patrons, students, donors, volunteers, and ambassadors. If you’d like to get more involved, or if you have any comments or questions, please reach out to me at FRPBoardPresident@flatrockplayhouse.org. I’d love to hear from you.
Again, thank you for being part of this magical place on The Rock.

Since our theatre began, we have depended on generous patrons and donors. By including Flat Rock Playhouse in your will, you can ensure great storytelling, teaching, and performing for future generations.
Endowment Funding is a wonderful way for ensuring the Playhouse’s future. Savvy donors can endow their current gifts through their will. For example, a bequest of $2500 would permanently endow an annual gift of $100. A bequest of $25,000 would create a named fund that would generate $1,000+ perpetually.

She is grateful for the support of her family.
BILL MUNOZ* (PRODUCATION STAGE MANAGER) 36 years as a proud Union Member of Actor’s Equity Association This season will be Bill’s 34th at Flat Rock Playhouse. Starting out as an apprentice in 1985, through subsequent years, he went from Scenic Carpenter to Actor to Stage Manager to Fight Choreographer to year-round staff as Production Manager. Although now he “stepped down” to only be hired seasonally, he always looks forward to return to this special community at the “Rock.” Special thanks to those who support live theatre and make the arts an important contribution to society. Much love to his wife and daughter, the two most important people in his life.
AMELIA DRISCOLL* (ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER) is excited to be back at Flat Rock Playhouse for another wonderful season! Amelia started working at the former FRP downtown Hendersonville location in 2015. Since then, she’s worked as an Assistant Stage Manager and Production Stage Manager at the FRP downtown space, the FRP Mainstage, North Carolina Stage Company in Asheville, and at various theaters in North Carolina, South Carolina, and California. Favorite productions she’s worked on at FRP include WEST SIDE STORY, CINDERELLA, MACBETH, MAMMA MIA, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, and more. When she’s not at the theater, Amelia enjoys taking on adventures. She’s bikepacked across Florida, caved and whitewater rafted in Costa Rica, and ridden camels through the Sahara Desert. (If you’re looking for an adventure buddy, let her know after the show!) And, speaking of the show, she very much hopes you enjoy the production.
VICTORIA COULTER (ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER) is eager to be a part of the Flat Rock Playhouse season. Previous credits include PA for THE WEIR, PIPE DREAM, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, 4000 MILES at Berkshire Theatre Group, PSM for THE TEMPEST and IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST at Tennessee Shakespeare Company, PA for American Ballet Theatre, ASM for Measure for Measure at Illinois Shakespeare Festival. She received a BFA in Stage Management from The University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She would like to thank her friends and family for their support throughout her career.
LINDSEY A. MOSS (ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER) is beyond thrilled to be back at Flat Rock Playhouse and to be even just a small part of this wonderful production. Previous credits include HAIRSPRAY, LES MISERABLES, THE LAST FIVE YEARS, MISS SAIGON, and ANNIE (among many others) at FRP; VROOOMMM! at Triad Stage; and TWELVE DATES OF CHRISTMAS-2017 & 2018, THE LIFESPAN OF A FACT, THE ROOMMATE, BE HERE NOW, and KING JAMES at North Carolina Stage Company. Many thanks to the entire FRP team for inviting me back and a BIG thank you to YOU for supporting the return of live theatre.
ADAM GOODRUM (PRODUCTION MANAGER) Adam graduated from UNC School of the Arts in with a B.F.A. in Technical Direction. In 2013 Adam moved closer to home and joined the Flat Rock Playhouse staff where he took on the position of Technical Director, and in 2014, he moved up to be the Production Manager. Adam is happy to have found his place back in his home state of NC where he is closer to family and friends and where he and his wife, Samantha welcomed their first child Ryden to the Vagabond Family in 2018.

Find peace and tranquility in this new garden of remembrance.
Flat Rock Playhouse’s founder, Robroy Farquhar, settled in this beautiful mountain region to celebrate the joys of nature and create a safe haven to practice his craft. In 2021, we continue to embrace the quiet serenity of our beautiful surroundings with The Leiman Garden of Remembrance.
David and Sharon Leiman donated this hallowed ground in memory of the six million Jews and millions of other men, women, and children murdered by Nazi Germany. The garden invites us all to remember, learn, reflect and NEVER FORGET.
David and Sharon first came to Flat Rock Playhouse in 2016 for the all-star hit production, Million Dollar Quartet. We are honored and overjoyed to call this dynamic duo part of the Flat Rock Playhouse team of patrons, donors, and volunteers.
