Round Table Farm gardening for you
Dylan Jones
By Lynnette Hoffman If you are looking for tasty homegrown greens, look no further than Winlock, Washington. Dylan Jones, gardener and grower started the business of growing healthy and nutritious salad greens called Round Table Farm. Dylan is now offering a delivery service and it is sure to be a success. When you arrive at the farm, you can tell he takes his gardening seriously for the best health benefits he can provide. Dylan started the business a few years ago, he stated, “Round Table Farm was started in 2015 as a way to be part of the resurgence of small farms that grow and sell really fresh and tasty produce as locally as possible. Eating food that is harvested straight out of the field right when it's in season, it is as healthy and delicious as it gets. Winlock was a great choice due to the good climate, good soil, and friendly people.” There is no doubt once you meet Dylan, you know he belongs here and we are very glad he is. The most important part is how they grow greens, this is the process that keeps it healthy for you to enjoy. Dylan spoke about his growth method, “I have always been an advocate for natural health and nutritious food, so the Round Table Farm uses the best methods from organic and sustainable practices to grow all of our produce. What this means is instead of using chemical sprays to control insects and weeds, we use row covers, insect netting, hand tools, cover crops, and encourage beneficial insects and earthworms. I also use a plant based organic fertilizer when needed to help the greens grow strong. With some practice, I have found these methods very effective to grow beautiful and delicious produce.” Dylan will deliver to your home or office, this is a service they are offering to their customers. You will want to be on his list, especially after seeing his growing methods. He discussed getting a variety to deliver to his customers, he stated, “Our specialty is leafy greens, creative salad mixes, and vegetables that you put in a salad like radishes, tomatoes, cucumbers, sprouts, turnips, See farm Page 4
