● After downloading the HP Smart app, launch it on your computer.
● In the welcome window, click on the Get Started button at the bottom.
● Accept the default Data Collection Settings and the HP Privacy Statement and click the Continue button at the bottom-right side of the screen.
● The Choose a printer pop-up window will display the recently installed printer on the screen.
● Select your respective printer to add it to HP Smart.
● Suppose your printer is not listed or you are setting up your machine for the first time, click the Skip button.
● Next, connect your printer and computer using a USB cable or Wi-Fi network.
● If you are connecting using a wireless network, ensure that your printer and computer are on the same network.
● On the HP Smart setup screen, click the Plus sign ( + ) below the Add a printer option.
● Now, the HP Smart app will start to detect your printer that is connected to the same network.
● If your printer is not listed on the screen, click the Set Up a New Printer option at the top of the window.
● Here, select your printer from the list and click the Continue button at the bottom-right side of the screen.
● Perform the on-screen prompts and complete the installation process on your computer

● Confirm that you have connected your printer and mobile device to the same network.
● If you are an Android user, install the HP Smart app from Google Play Store.
● For iPhone users, use the App Store to install the HP Smart app.
● Once completed the installation, launch the app on your mobile device.
● Tap the Plus ( + ) icon from the main screen of the HP Smart app.
● Now, your mobile device will start to search for your printer that is connected to the same network.
● Once detected, choose your printer from the available list.
● If your printer is not available, tap on the Add Printer option at the bottom of the screen.
● Once prompted, input your wireless network password into the respective field and tap the Continue button.
● After your printer is detected, start the connection setup.
● Perform the on-screen instructions on your mobile device and complete the printer setup.
