Experiencing a live, theatrical performance is a unique learning opportunity for students of all ages. Our Theater in Education Field Trip Package workshops are designed to enhance the theater-going experience, and are rooted in Wisconsin and National Common Core Standards.
These two, four, or seven-session residencies provide students additional context prior to and following the performance through the exploration of the production’s themes, character traits and story structure, include an extended talkback following the performance, and are highly interactive-allowing young people the opportunity to actively engage in the story as individual learners while working collectively with their peers as they delve into crucial, and developmentally appropriate ELA and Social/Emotional Learning topics.
All Field Trip Packages include a trip to the theater, and range in length and depth of exploration.
Our Theater in Education department offers a comprehensive Enrichment Guide for each of our productions. These multifaceted guides provide activities and resources for teachers to create extensions to their theater going experience for their classroom.
