Missionary Society Ministry By Missionary June Cunningham

A MOTHER’S LOVE IS TRUE She is our mother She is a gift to her children, our strong devotion each day; A hand in our hand, a breath of fresh air along the way; She is our Fairy Godmother, a mighty mom everywhere; The sun in the morning, she is our daily prayer; She is our encouraging voice, as we grow day by day; The rose in the vase, the sunshine on a cloudy day; She is God’s angel sent from heaven, our bright star in the night; The queen of our soul, she is our shadow in the light; A comfort when she holds you, a memory when she is gone; A million tiny heart beats, the music in a song; She is a love that is everlasting, worth more than diamonds and gold; We thank God for our mothers, a sacred treasure to behold!

Happy Mother’s Day

The First Baptist Church Missionary Ministry will have their annual Mother’s Day Celebration, on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 1:00 until 3:00 pm in Ida Clark Hall. Please join us for a great time and bring those you love to enjoy this celebration. On April 6th 2019, Missionary Shirley Lambert attended the Baptist Convention of the District of Columbia and Vicinity Women’s Auxiliary, Women’s Conference, where she did one of her dance presentation. Excellent, was the word she used in describing this event.

Easter baskets and cards were given and sent to our sick and shut-in members. We appreciate our Deacons and Deaconess for their support in delivering these gifts of love to our members. We continue to attend Stoddard Baptist Nursing Home every 1st Sunday of each month from 1:30 until 2:30 pm. The time has been changed due to First Baptist Church new worship service schedule ending earlier. We fellowship with the residents, families and staff and would love for you to join us as your presence will remind the sick and the elderly that God and First Baptist Church cares and love them. The Missionaries continue to offer food to families in need through our food pantry. We also visit and call our sick and shut-in members. Congratulations! Missionary Bria Cunningham will be graduating May 11, 2019 from Delaware State University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Development. We pray for her to have much success in the future. The Missionary would like to congratulate all of our graduates of First Baptist Church! The Missionary Ministry is recruiting youth and the not so young to join us. We meet on the 4th Saturday of each month, 12 noon here at First Baptist Church.

Missionary Shirley Lambert also attended the Lott Carey W.I.S.E. annual Easter-InGathering at the Rehoboth Baptist Church on April 15, 2019.
