At HiViz LED Lighting, our development team works side by side with the men and women of the fire and emergency service; many of them firefighters themselves. We understand what it takes to hop out of bed in the middle of the night for a structure fire. A normal citizen might think of 3AM and envision a good night’s sleep. But when a firefighter thinks of 3AM, they know they may be responding to a wreck involving a drunk driver who just closed down the bar. We’ve been there on those wrecks where the road gets shutdown for hours, and experienced those situations where we can’t see to do our job. When I began working in the Fire/Rescue/EMS field, I noticed a distinct need for improved quality of light on our rescue scenes. I started HiViz LED Lighting with the goal to revolutionize the way the Fire and Emergency Services personnel do their jobs after dark. HiViz LED Lighting is dedicated to developing the most innovative, highest quality, LED lighting solutions on the market. Our products range from the flagship 72â&#x20AC;? low profile LED brow lights, to small compartment lights, and everything in between. Unlike other manufacturers, our focus lays exclusively in forward-facing visible LED lighting products. This allows a specialists approach designing the ultimate lighting solution. High Temperature & High Humidity Operational

Products are placed in a -40°C for 30 minutes, and then placed in a 80°C chamber for an additional 30 minutes. Products are then ran for 72 hours to ensure full operational status.

Lights are tested in a photometric machine to model the beam pattern and certify the overall light output.

Products are placed in a 60°C, 94% humidity chamber and left operational for 72 hours. Afterwards, products are inspected for moisture, water drops, damaged LEDs, flicking LEDs, and more.

Long Term Durability

Products are placed on the vibration shock table with a vibration range of 25.6G for 4 hours to test that they can withstand the rated vibration standard.

Products are sprayed from close distances with 80~100 BAR water pressure to verify the Ingress Protection rating, ensuring they are sealed properly.

Products are then switched on and off 20,000 times repeatedly to ensure that they remain functional after all testing.

HIGH LEVEL CERTIFICATIONS Photo Biological Ensures that light output causes no harm to skin or eyes. ROHS Ensures no use of restricted hazardous materials in products. DOT US Department of Transportation certified for on road use. E-mark European Regulatory certification for on highway use.

LIGHTING TERMS EXPLAINED Lumen Lumens measure the output of a light at the source. Raw Lumens account for the rated output of the LED by the LED manufacturer. This number is typically a calculation. By contrast, the Effective Lumens rating accounts for thermal, optical, and circuitry losses which reduce total output and is measured. In 2016, The latest revision to the NFPA 1901 Guideline (19.18.6) will become effective. These changes will define how light fixtures rated in Lumens are to be measured. It will require manufacturers to make their test data avaliable in order for their fixtures to be considered ”compliant.” Isolux and Photometric test data is available from HiViz LED Lighting, and both our RAW and EFFECTIVE lumen figures are outlined throughout this publication.

Lux Lux measures the amount of light per square meter. Unlike lumens which measures light at the source, lux is measured at a specific point. This helps better determine whether those effective lumens are lighting up the environment with the necessary light. Measuring Lux On FireTech lux charts, the different colors within a light’s beam on the lux chart correlates to a different lux level at that distance from the source, according to the colors shown.

WHAT MAKES A FIRETECH PRODUCT DIFFERENT? TOP BINNING Not all LEDs are created equal. Each run of LEDs by the manufacturer is binned to classify the quality within that batch. HiViz LED Lighting uses only top-binned LEDs to ensure the highest quality. WEATHERPROOF DEUTSCH CONNECTORS Each FireTech product features a weatherproof deutsch connector, ensuring the functionality of the light in harsh conditions. HiViz LED Lighting tests each batch of lights to ensure compliance with advertised certifications. HIGH EFFICACY FireTech products are engineered for the highest possible luminous efficacy - the ratio of lumens per watt.

PULSE WIDTH MODULATION When enabled, Pulse Width Modulation integrated circuitry flashes the LED faster than the human eye can see for reduced heat, prolonged LED life and dimming capabilities. ELECTRONIC THERMAL MANAGEMENT Integrated Electronic Thermal Management automatically regulates heat levels by engaging ETM to prolong each LEDs lifespan to 50,000 hours. DIMMING CAPABILITY Prime Drive includes dimming capability. Dimming works by engaging PWM to reduce power while maintaining steady output. HiViz LED Lighting offers push button and dial dimmer units.

AVAILABLE LED SIZES 90 WATT LED The new Light Cannon 8.7” housing features a new 90 Watt LED. Combined with IRIS Reflector Technology, this allows for 3,280 feet of usable light.

50 WATT LED The new Light Cannon 6.7” housing features a new 50 Watt LED. Combined with IRIS Reflector Technology, this allows unmatched distance and brightness from a single LED.

25 WATT The 4.5” Light Cannon housing features a new 25 Watt LED. Combined with IRIS Reflector Technology, this allows 1,000 feet of usable light from a single LED.

10 WATT LED The benefits of the 10 watt LED are great intensity and bulk lighting. The 10 watt LED provides the greatest bulk lighting on the market.

5 WATT LED Utilizing the same footprint as the 3 watt LED, but at twice the output, the 5 watt LED combines the advantages of a tight LED footprint with the ultimate output.

3 WATT LED The benefits of the 3 watt LED are great output and beam precision. The tight footprint allows for precision optical control.

SMD LED The Surface Mounted Diode (SMD) is used in the HD-Strip fixture and FT-CU-P500 to create an even, ultra-wide beam pattern for area lighting applications.

The FireTech Brow light with integrated marker lights replaces 5 roof mounted DOT markers and 2 traditional brow lights, acting as a 7 in 1 upgrade to clean up the front of your cab. SPLIT CIRCUITS By splitting the FireTech Brow Light in to 3 circuits, the Engineer has the ability to precisely control what areas of the fire scene are illuminated. Imagine you’re on a 2 or 4 lane road at the scene of a wreck. Patient care is complete, you’re just waiting for the tow truck to get the car off the road. With the FireTech brow light, you can shut off the sections of the light that are shining in oncoming traffic’s eyes, helping to increase the margin of safety on your scene. POWERFUL LEDS With today’s LED technology and innovative engineering, FireTech Lights can match and beat virtually all HID or Halogen lighting options. With lighting solutions featuring diodes from 5 watts up to 90 watts, HiViz LED Lighting / FireTech Lights has designed line that gives you every reason to move to LED lighting for your emergency response use. PRIME DRIVE Prime Drive enables enhanced reliability and output by utilizing more efficient circuitry and the use of electronic thermal management. Electronic Thermal Management works to prolong the life of the LED through Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). Prime Drive also gives you the capability to dim the LED using an external controller. PWM flashes the LED faster than the human eye can detect in order to reduce heat. STRENGTH AND DURABILITY Featuring Die-Cast Aluminum housings, LED Lights from FireTech stand up to adverse environmental conditions. Based on an extrusion, the size of the brow light is totally up to you. HiViz LED Lighting manufactures models from 5” to 72” wide, and in configurations of 1, 2 or 4 rows of LEDs high. The sky is the limit with the FireTech Brow Light.

Every 5 watt LED in a FireTech brow light is coupled with an optic collimator to produce a highly efficient beam of light. We chose to use individual optics so that EACH LED is maximizing its light-on-target for the intend area of its design.

All work surfaces, steps, and walkways, as well as any area within 30â&#x20AC;? in an entry or exit point of an apparatus must be illuminated to a minimum of 2 footcandles. The work area immediately behind the vehicle, as well as the hose bed (if provided), is to be illuminated to a minimum of 3 footcandles. Additionally, in 2016, the requirements for Ariel Devices will require manufacturers to make available Photometric Compliance testing documentation. Lights in this section have either a FT-SL part number or a FT-WL part number. The WL stands for “Work Lights” which are fixed mounted. SL Stands for “Scene Lights” and are designed with a 3/4” NPT mount designed for attachment to telescoping poles. Prime Drive on the SL15 Series integrates key features such as electronic thermal management (ETM), Pulse Width Modulation circuitry (PWM) dimming capabilities. ETM actively monitors heat to control internal temperature and extend the LED lifespan. The FT-SL15 is unique in that it can feature an inrush current limiting firmware that slowly brings the light from 0-100% output when initially switched on. This feather-start technology helps to prevent undesirable inrush current from damaging the electrical system on industrial vehicles. Ask your FireTech rep for more information about this feature.

The combination of a die-cast 6061 aluminum housing, unbreakable polycarbonate lens, integrated deutsch connector, reinforced gasketed bezel and a strengthened trunnion bracket create a one-of-a-kind, high-powered light that will outshine and outlast the competition.

The FT-SL15 line comes with mounting solutions and power supplies to integrate into any project. An industry standard 3/4” NPT mount ships by default making mounting to telescoping poles a breeze. An optional FlexPower module can be added to the unit for AC operation.
