JOY

Theatre has been a home for many of the students performing tonight. It’s a space where, no matter what energy we are bringing into the room, we can unite as a group full of love for one another and relish in the feeling of playing a different role when our own is too stressful. Regardless of the sheer amount of talent in the group, the most fun is meeting new people and hearing about school from different perspectives. Theatre, also, fosters imagination, collaboration, emotional intelligence, empathy and most of all courage that all uniquely serve as essential skills in our academic and cocurricular pursuits. Drama Club is a student led club that comes together once a week to refine our dramatic skills, discuss all things theatre and prepare for our drama night performances Similarly Improv club is a group that meets at Brighton Grammar on Fridays to practise improvisation and form new connections within the BGS-FGS Community Through theatre at Firbank we have learnt that it’s not just about performance; it's about embracing the transformative journey it offers both on and off stage.
