Upon entering, the large entrance hall has stairs rising to the first floor and access to the cloakroom/WC.
Without doubt, one of the main selling features of Hanworth House is the outstanding open plan dining, kitchen/family room.

The snug has a wood burning stove which was installed recently.

Seller Insight
It was the generous family space and the rural lifestyle in Twyford village which first attracted the present owners to Hanworth House. It also enjoyed a convenient location, only three miles from Banbury, and approximately half an hour from Oxford, plus the proximity to the M40 for easy commuting. Hanworth House answered all their needs and they have loved their six years there.
It is a superb family home, where the busy daily hub is the large, streamlined and chic kitchen. Flooded with natural light it is where the family gather for chatty meals and where you can open the French doors onto the patio, which creates a delightful outside dining area and also invites the garden into the house. The owners recall the times they have added a marquee to the rear of the kitchen, and the many parties they have enjoyed there; including their own wedding reception. It is a home that is at its best when full of people.

The front lounge serves as a cinema room and is where you can relax and unwind, whilst with the glow from the fire, it is a warm winter sanctuary. Hanworth House was built in 1939 and the room retains the picture rail fashionable at the time; and this feature combined with the large bay window adds to the charm of the setting. The comfortable snug provides another restful area in a home which has a bright and positive ambience throughout. A further place for downtime and perhaps an adult sanctuary is the large loft conversion, with its en suite WC, dressing room and excellent storage facilities.
The owners explain that they have set up the garden as the perfect summer living room, with a swim spa, comfortably furnished and covered seating area and a separate barbecue and fire pit. There is volleyball and table tennis for the grandchildren and also a well equipped gym in the former prefab garage, which is now an attractive timber clad building. With the choice between totally chilling out or working out, the garden has provided hours of pleasure.
Twyford is an active village with community activities centred around the village hall. The close proximity of Banbury and Bicester Village designer shopping village, and the many walks and footpaths combine to offer the best of town and country living. The time has come for the owners to downsize and they will miss the life style the house has provided, and its rural setting. However, they take away many very happy memories.
