SELLER INSIGHT

We had looked at quite a few homes prior to coming here and as soon as we came into this private gated road with only five properties beautifully arranged around a grassy area, we immediately knew we’d found the one we’d been searching for, and funnily enough, one of our newer residents said exactly the same thing,” says the owner.

“We’ve lived here for nearly 10 years and have made some big changes during that time, including opening up the kitchen to create a large, open space that flows through to the dining room and garden. It’s perfect for day-to-day family life and entertaining; it’s truly a room that everyone can enjoy as we gather round the granite island to craft, catch up with admin, play games, chat, and enjoy dinner together. It’s a home for all seasons as in the winter, I will most likely be found relaxing in the cosy sitting room in front of the multi-fuel burner, and in the summer, I’ll be outside in the garden.”

“The tiny, historic village of Glatton is picture-perfect with pretty thatched cottages, beautiful countryside walks, a welcoming pub, and an ancient church that’s mentioned in the Domesday Book. The vibrant village hall marks big occasions with fun events and there’s a brilliant quiz night (we are proud past winners!) and lots of other functions. There are shops, more pubs, restaurants, good schools, and a leisure centre nearby and we enjoy easy access to the A1, so it’s well positioned for commuting. I think the best thing about living here though is being part of a friendly little community who are kind and helpful, whilst respectful of privacy. It’s a lovely place to live where new people are welcomed with open arms.”

“The huge garden has been the setting for many family gatherings where we have enjoyed BBQs and pool parties; our grandchildren swim and play on inflatables, whilst the adults enjoy a G&T poolside. The garden is south facing, so it’s sunny all day long and there’s plenty of space for a bouncy castle and a marquee if required. Our grandchildren love climbing the trees and making dens, yet it’s also a peaceful space where all I can hear is birdsong when I sit out with a cup of tea. There’s plenty of wildlife to look out for, including muntjac deer, rabbits and their babies, and pheasants.”*
