BELLVIEW

The subject of a substantial extension and renovation project, Bellview is a spacious four bedroom cottage with beautifully presented interiors, centrally located within the extremely well-regarded village of Great Cheverell.

The village itself has a diverse range of amenities including an outstanding primary school, nursery, family run garage with café, general Store, church, village hall and public house. The historic market town of Devizes is just five miles north with a wider range of facilities including town centre shopping, a leisure centre with swimming pool, museum, theatre and thriving weekly market.
There are excellent independent and state school provisions within the area. Independent schools include Dauntsey’s School just 2 miles away, in addition to Marlborough College and St. Francis Prep School in Pewsey, both within driving distance.
KEY FEATURES

Bellview was once two cottages, but now functions seamlessly as an impressive individual residence. The ground floor accommodation is versatile, yet practical, with a selection of individual reception spaces, all with Jotul enamel woodburners installed. All have been tastefully renovated and re-decorated by the current owners. The impressive kitchen/breakfast room with vaulted ceiling includes a range of highspec integrated appliances, an electric AGA, enamelled in Farrow & Ball ‘Pelt’, and a large central island, creating the perfect setting for large family gatherings and entertaining. The ground floor accommodation has recently been extended with a bespoke extension spanning the entire length of the rear elevation.
First Floor
The first floor accommodation can be accessed via two separate staircases. On one side are two guest bedrooms which are serviced by the bathroom on the ground floor. The generous master and main guest bedrooms can be accessed via the second staircase, both offering luxury en-suite shower rooms.

SELLER INSIGHT
What is your favourite room of the house and why?

Gosh hard one to answer really, they are all really individual and I love them all for different reasons, so could not choose just one.
Who do you think would be the next ideal owner?
I imagine someone who does not wish to do any work or renovations as everything is done. Either a second home owner or a large multi generational family.
What do you love most about the house and why? Its best feature has to be its location and views.
What do you love about the local community?
It is close knit and very well established. It also has everything, such as a fabulous pub and shop run by a local multigenerational family, and a cafe and garage with many events and clubs too. Also, not to mention the fantastic schools, it has a nursery which our granddaughter attends and superb primary as well as Dauntsey`s where our children attended.
How easy is it to commute from here?
I commuted for years to Cardiff, Bath, Gloucester and London, so it is easily done.
What made you choose this property over others that were available at the time?
The views and the location.
