Elham is delightful with a village square surrounded by beautiful and historic houses full of individual character as well as the requisite church on one side and the Kings Arms Grade II Listed pub on the other. This has been restored to its former royal glory in celebration of the coronation of King Charles III and includes a restaurant with gastro pub food created by award winning chefs. There is also the Rose and Crown, the historic Abbot’s Fireside hotel and restaurant and the Cosy Tearooms, so there is always somewhere to meet up with friends and family without needing to take the car. The village includes a corner shop/newsagent, a post office in the Kings Arms pub three times a week and an hourly bus between Folkestone and the city of Canterbury with its historic buildings, high street stores and independent shops, three universities, two theatres and cinemas and excellent private and grammar school education.
