Step Inside Hawcroft

The large elegant tiled entrance hall offers central access to all surrounding rooms giving the house a spacious flow. A larger than average drawing room is the perfect place to relax in front of the multi-fuel log burner with patio doors leading to a pleasant conservatory to enjoy fabulous views of the gardens and countryside beyond. At the front of the property is a light modern office, with an adjacent cloakroom- it is perfectly positioned to accept business visitors without intruding on the rest of the home.

We love the cosy lounge, where we like to settle around the warmth of the log burner on winter evenings. The situation of the property offers so many unique occurrences which cannot be found just anywhere, such as glimpsing the deer in the fields on Christmas Day, or watching hot air balloons passing over.

The spacious kitchen has an archway to a breakfast room with patio doors opening onto a large terrace, perfect for entertaining. An additional tile floor reception room is currently used as a formal dining room but as there is a breakfast room and conservatory dining this could equally be used as a family room.

Seller Insight The landscape by which our home is surrounded is stunning,” say the current owners of Hawcroft on the edge of the village of Longdon, “proffering beautiful views of the Staffordshire green belt from a peaceful end plot location.” This modern four bed detached property with three reception rooms and two bathrooms is the ideal family home, having been improved by the current owners to include PVC double glazing, a garden patio, log burner in the lounge and a new family bathroom. The house is as well suited to entertaining as it is to everyday family life. “We have spent many happy evenings dining in the conservatory with garden views,” say the owners, “or hosting family parties in the lounge or outside on the patio.” The garden is a key attraction of this property, with its sunny aspect, curved lawn and picturesque landscaping. “We love to sit outside in the total privacy of the sunny garden,” say the owners, “often even until 10pm in the warmer months. It is so peaceful just watching and listening to the sounds of the wildlife and the waterfall feature in the pond, or stroking the horses over the garden fence.” The local area also has much to offer. “There is a friendly local village shop and Post Office,” say the owners, “as well as a popular village pub with with open fires, excellent food and cask ales, not to mention the occasional evening of light entertainment. There is a beautiful church in the village, and lovely scenic walks for miles around.” At the end of Longdon village, the property itself sits adjacent to splendid green farmland, though Lichfield and Rugeley are each within a 10 minute drive, thus offering the best of both countryside and convenience.

These comments are the personal views of the current owner and are included as an insight into life at the property. They have not been independently verified, should not be relied on without verification and do not necessarily reflect the views of the agent.

Step Outside Hawcroft

The beautiful gardens to the rear of the property are easily maintained and offer complete privacy surrounded by farmland. The current owners talk of the occasional sight of a forest deer trotting across the snow covered fields and horses are usually kept on the adjoining field during spring and summer which is visible from the front of the property. A wide sweeping block paved driveway offers ample parking, the double garage has twin up and over doors with loft storage space.

We shall miss the sunny garden, so quiet and not at all overlooked, the only sound being the calming cascade of the pond waterfall and the calls of local birds and wildlife.
