Furthermore, the basement provides added flexibility, currently serving as a billiards room and extensive garaging.

Convenience is ensured with a sweeping in/out driveway, offering plentiful parking and easy access to the garaging. The well-maintained gardens feature expansive lawns, a selection of specimen trees, and mature boundaries, guaranteeing privacy and seclusion.

SELLER INSIGHT

We owned the land and decided to build our family home here back in 1971 as it’s a wonderful location. It’s the best of both worlds as it’s quiet with lovely countryside walks and we also benefit from easy access to good transport links and local amenities,” say the owners.

“There’s something here for everyone to enjoy, including scenic walks and cycle routes, a nice pocket park for children, community centre, groups and clubs, supermarkets, schools, and a fantastic nursery and coffee shop just up the road that sells absolutely everything garden related. It’s really easy to head into Cambridge and Peterborough where there is an even wider range of shops, restaurants, and leisure activities.”

“The living accommodation is set across three storeys and is perfect for day-today family life and entertaining. We’ve held some large-scale family events here, including a wedding reception where we had a marquee in the grounds and 250 guests. The billiard room is always a big attraction and is home to our amazing snooker table that has been played on by some of the greats, including Steve Davis and Alex Higgins.”

“The garden has been my happy place for many years where I have indulged in my love for growing our own fruit and vegetables. I have three greenhouses and thirty raised beds where I have grown a huge range of food, including broad beans, runner beans, carrots, beet, potatoes, raspberries, and strawberries. You can’t beat freshly picked home grown produce! Set in 1.5 acres, the garden is fully enclosed and is a natural attraction for wildlife. I’ve seen muntjac deer, woodpeckers, jays, robins, and I’m sitting here now looking out at pheasants, rabbits, and about 30 birds.”

“Double doors lead out from the lounge, conservatory, utility, and dining room to the patio area where we can seat up to 25 guests and we’ve enjoyed many family BBQs and get-togethers here. The conservatory / lounge area can accommodate up to 60 guests and our daughter loves to come back with her friends and set up camp in the garden which is always a lot of fun for them. I tend to spend most of my time in the conservatory as it’s a lovely, bright room with wonderful garden views and my 75-inch tv.”*
