Zur finalen Entscheidung, in und um die Bavaria zu drehen, dürfte auch der Sondertopf des FilmFernsehFonds Bayern beigetragen haben, der in diesem Jahr insgesamt drei Millionen Euro an Standortförderung für internationale Produktionen vergeben kann. Eine davon ist an „Big Game“ gegangen.

Compared to US proportions, the film budget of nine million Euros would be more regarded to be a joke; but in European and German dimensions, it is considered rather abundant and costly. Additionally, the financial extra source of the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern certainly contributed to support the final decision to shoot in and around the Bavaria Film Studios. This fund can make a total of three million Euros available for location promotion and international productions this year. One million went to “Big Game”.
