First Shia-Sunni Muslim Unity Conference a great success https://www.facebook.com/drhkoya/videos/10218994987766037/ More than two Muslim brothers and sisters attend this first ever Shia Sunni Muslim Unity conference in San Francisco Bay Area hosed by NCIC (North ern California Islamic Council. A brain child of Dr. Ejaz Naqvi who also mediated the event. This is just the beginning, It should be come an annual event or all Muslims.
Comment or two about the program. Good program. However, as a long time desinger and writer of training prgrams. C panel discussions and workshops I do have the expetise to make a few suggestion. 1.
Spell out the main objective of the conference clearly and distinctly. ( I heard one panelist say “we are not hear to convert�. So why were we there?)
2.
What will people take home at the end of the panel discussions.
3.
Annticipate likely questions audience will raise. Be prepared with brief and to the point answers.
4.
Every panelist must submit a Bullet Point of his presentation which should be displayed on the screen as the panelist speaks.
5.
Be armed with FAQ, frequently asked questions handout for the audience.
6.
Breakout sessions, into three or four groups. Give eash group a dfiierent set of questions based on the panel presentations. Then get feedback from each group.

SAMPLE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 1. Do Shias believe in all five pillars of Islam? 2. Do they hold Hazrat Ali over and above the Holy Prophet? 3. Do they believe that Quran should have been revealed to Hazrat Ali? 4. Do Sunnis believe that Shias are do not adhere to all principles of Islam? 5. Do they believe that because Shias hold Hazrat Ali over and above the Holy Prophet, they do not belong to Islam? 6. Do Sunnis believe that Hazrat Ali did not die and one day will come back alive to guide all?
