MANAGEMENT TODAY - USA AIM TO STRENGTHEN ITS PACIFIC RIM With induction last week of new professional members of AIM, two new positions have been created to strengthen its performance in the Pacific region that covers Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Australia. New Zealand and Fiji. The AIM appointed Haji Ali Akbar as the Regional Director and Muhamad Shoaib as coordinator of the region. Both are expected to start AIM promotions first in Malaysia and then proceed to Fiji to organize a AIM/FIM Seminars in various location in an effort to promote AIM mission to “transform traditional managers into professional managers� Haji Ali Akbar replaces previous regional director Kim who has been inactive in his role after being awarded AIM Fellowship. It is anticipated that Haji Ali will help AIM host some of the initial meetings at his own business center in Koala Lumpur.
Fiji chapter AIM focuses on activating FIM as an affiliate in the next few months with an aim to provide an enhanced training for professional management placing a great emphasis on soft skills for staff development. In a brief AIM survey recently AIM determined that training is needed across the board to boost customer relations and build employee profile to match the customer expectations; the key to making headways in business performance.
Certificates and Diplomas In addition to inducting managers at various professional groups, FIM/AIM diploma certificates and post-graduate Diplomas will also be awarded to accredited members who woild be able to use appropriate distinguishing letters after their name as a mark of honor and distinction in professional management.
