Hinduism question ticked off R S Goundar at Eid Dinner
It has finally come out attention that as moderator at the Interfaith America Eid Dinner commemorating Abrahamic traditions, Pt, Ranga Swami Goundar worked off because he not allowed to interject on Hindu faith being somehow connected with Abrahamic traditions. He was given a written script to follow which he could not and took up a lot of time over 30 guests at the second annual dinner. ISHLAMABAD? As he read the scripted note, Goundar struggled with name Islamabad capital of Pakistan. There was a giggle in the audience when he said ISHLAMABAD and added JANAB for AMC President Khurram Shah. American audience does not know what JANAB means. He read at slow pace in low voice, It was clear he had not read the few lines given to him several days in advance. Hindu question ticked off R S Goundar at Eid dinner (continue from page 1) In the wrapping up session when the editor shared his point that 2/3 of the world faith consisted of Jews, Christians and Muslims, a panelist asked what about Hinduism. The editor said he was speaking about the faiths of the Abrahamic tradition only in keeping with the theme of the Eid Dinner. Hinduism does not come within the tradition. Ranga Swami Goundar stood up to register his point. The editor said that his points were covered in last year’s Eid Dinner and proceeded to close the secession to curtail unrelated discussions. At this stage people noticed Ranga Swami Goundar stood up in obvious disgust and stormed out of the Eid Dinner. He was met on exiting the door by Annie Koya who asked Goundar to have dinner. He replied that he was going to his car and will be right back. A few minutes later when editor noticed Goundar was at the dinner, he made a call and found Goundar was already home. He said he had very important thing to do and had to leave. Editor said he founded it very unbelievable that Goundar had left without even saying goodbye. Seven days later, Goundar sought to meet with the editor at his home where he confronted the editor and claimed that he was very sick and had to leave without. The editor pointed out that Goundar had given three different versions and he did not believe any of the reasons was true. Goundar screamed, stormed out of the house and slammed the door on editor’s face. A very unbecoming behavior of someone who professes to be a Hindu priest. An alarming behavioral disorder!
Opposition parties cashing in on American Fijians Expectations for 2018 General Elections seem to have taken an early take off. Opposition party leaders seem to have high hopes to defeat and unseat the current Bainimarama Government which has already established a track record of success and making unprecedented development and progress in the tiny island country. With the return to democracy, the opposition parties have all freedom to fight an election within the rules of the game. However, neither the old horse NFP nor newcomer SEDAPHA led by first anti-Indian Military coup leader Sitiveni Rabuka has the credibility to form the government. A few months ago Rabuka was in the Bay Area touting support from Fijians in Santa Rosa. An NFP meet and greet is said to be underway in Newark this weekend.
Facebook Discussion on Hinduism with Deo Narayan Hinduism and Christianity. Unlike Bible, books of Hindu faith does not speak of origin of Human life through Adam And Eve. It offers a very different theory though. Biblical prophets Abraham, Moses and Jesus are mentioned at all. While Bible condemns idol worshipping, the practice. Is very central Hindu faith. Do they mention that Adam and Eve were the first human beings. 2. About Moses, Abraham, Jacob and Jesus etc. 3. Muhammad as well. In contest or trial you don't tell a party to go research instead present the evidence yourself.
