Family Housing is a social landlord, registered with the Welsh Government. We have been operating as a housing association since 1975. We receive grant funding to build affordable new homes for rent and we also provide extra support to some groups of tenants. Although our activities were concentrated in Swansea early on, we now work in many areas in West Wales. Our Mission is to

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US INDUCTION TRAINING AND ONGOING DEVELOPMENT A training plan suited to your role in the first six months of employment. If you need nationally recognised qualifications then we will provide these too. After that we will provide training to develop and enhance your skills and to enable you to work to the best of your ability.
We run spoken Welsh classes in Swansea for beginners and improvers. If you are working elsewhere then we will pay for you to attend local classes in your own time. We have a mentor scheme so that experienced colleagues can help in your development.
Giving back The GIFT (Giving in Family Teams) scheme aims to improve team working as well as contributing to the community. Teams have done things like, host a party for an older persons’ day centre, decorate a special school and build a sensory garden.

KEEPING HEALTHY IS GOOD FOR EVERYONE We provide generous sick leave if you are ill and need time to recover. If you develop a long term condition then we will support you to continue in your role if we can. All staff have a free health cash plan for them and their children.
