cÉÄÉ VÄÉá|Çz Wtç exvtÑ On Sunday, September 30th, under the VIP tent at the San Diego Polo Club, the most fashionable members of FGI San Diego celebrated the closing day of this summer’s polo season and the Spreckels Cup Final. Members were treated with complete VIP treatment including reserved seating in the VIP tent, lunch, beverages, dessert, champagne during the divot stomp as well as a fully stocked swag bag. The Spreckels Cup celebrated over 100 years in San Diego and the closing day was a Gatsby/Roaring 20s theme. In true FGI fashion, the organization raised over $1000 for their student scholarships through their admission sales as well as their ticket sales for an opportunity drawing to win an iPad 2. Immediately following the matches, guests were entertained with live music presented by The Belly Up Tavern as well as a “Meet and Greet” with the polo players in the Players Club Area. All-in-all, it was the chicest way to end the polo season and raise money for student scholarships.
