Hello and thank you for taking the time to access our wonderful health education learning materials! Our nonprofit Kleist Health Education Center provides a stimulating setting for students, teachers, and Southwest Florida community members to learn about making healthy choices. Part of the Marieb College of Health & Human Services, our health education programs are interactive, animated and full of vital information. All our programs are aligned to meet Florida's Common Core State Standards, assisting administrators and educators with school curriculum. The KHEC’s online ‘easy access learning environment’ was created to assist teachers, parents, students, and other community partners with access to valuable health lessons during these challenging COVID-19 times. Our web-based lessons are relevant and are focused on 4 key areas: character education, fitness, nutrition, and general health. We hope these learning lessons will meet your needs and support our teachers, students, and parents. This Virtual Workbook was created to supplement the 8 learning lessons available on our website: https://www.fgcu.edu/mariebcollege/khec/. This workbook has been designed to continue the learning process of health information in a safe environment, either at home or when school is back in session. Each topic area contains 2 lesson activities. The short virtual lessons and accompanying workbook can supplement your existing curriculum or be a tool to start your ‘at home discussions’ with your children. Please feel free to download the entire workbook or just the specific learning activities that you would like to use.
