REAL CENTER PIVOT SEGMENT

Get up close and personal with real center pivot irrigation hardware. The impressive size and elegant engineering of the equipment forms the perfect backdrop for learning more about irrigation technology and sustainability.

Center Pivot Model

This scale model of center pivot irrigator sits atop the virtual field displayed on an interactive video monitor. Visitors rotate the irrigator to water the field. A variety of views give different irrigation insights—a 24-hour cycle, weekly cycle, seasons, and different crop types specific to Central Wisconsin.

Irrigation Then And Now

The center pivot irrigator revolutionized how and what farmers grow in Wisconsin and beyond. At a second table, the model irrigator and video screen serve as an interface for controlling educational media about the history and current use of center pivot innovations.

High Tech Irrigation

Farmers protect our future by innovating to irrigate sustainably. A third center pivot video table highlights the use of cutting-edge technology for sustainable irrigation, including soil mapping, yield mapping, hyperspectral imaging, and variable-rate application.
