An 8-year-old orphan experiences the earthquake which devastatd the capital of Turkmenistan and caused the death of thous. Unfortunately however the film was never released: the president of Turkmenistan felt that the Turkmeni people were not represented appropriately as heroes The story of the young protagonist may have reminded him of his own and the expend roe of thousands of other orphans after the 1948 eartquake. The public will enjoy the performance of legenday actor and film director Rolan Bykov in one of his last roles, he interprets a melancholic director of the orphanate who. Mourad Alley (Ashkhabad, 1951) graduated from the Moscow Film School in 1977 and between that year and 1991 worked in the Turkmenistan studios doing documerirane. in 1991 he was appointed director of the Nusai Centre for children's films nd television and in 1993 took over as president of the Turkmenistan f/mi and TV production company.
