Notas del director Me gusta mucho que alguien me cuente un recuerdo sinceramente, así de la nada, en algún momento del día. Y, si involucra elementos visuales y auditivos, el efecto es más largo, así que traté de utilizar esto como una técnica cuando estaba armando estas escenas. Creo que este enfoque también es algo muy alineado con la naturaleza humana. Cuando recordamos algo que tuvo un efecto fuerte en nosotros, no recordamos solo el incidente. También recordamos los elementos que acompañaron al incidente: los sonidos, los olores, el ritmo, un movimiento. Esa es la textura de la memoria.
Director’s statement I like it very much when someone shares a sincere memory with me; just out of the blue, at an unexpected moment of the day. And if there are audio and visual elements there to enhance it, the effect will last longer. This is what I was trying to do as I put these scenes together. I think that the approach is very much in tune with human nature. When we remember something that moves us deeply, we don’t just remember the incident, we remember everything that came with it: the sounds, the smells, the rhythms, the movement. This is the texture of memory.
