HYOSHI IN COUNTERPOINT In Japanese, the word hyoshi has multiple meanings: it can refer to time and tempo, and also to a moment, a chance. It's when something clicks and feels just right. Hyoshi in Counterpoint sees percussionist Satomi Ohnishi and guzheng virtuoso Zhao Liang lead an all-star collective featuring multi-instrumentalist Jennifer Trijo, shamisen player and Lucky Beats star Noriko Tadano, and string legends Karen De Nardi (viola) and Monica Myung (cello).
