My name is Fernando and I am a 5th year architecture student at the University of Navarra. After having worked in Pamplona, Valencia and Amsterdam during the previous summers, I feel totally predisposed to face this new challenge and be part of an architectural team. My strengths are the architectural, constructive and urban designs although my passions go beyond this as I combine them with a taste for art, design and technology.
Always working hard to create a good work environment and open to meet new people and ideas. The studies completed and the different influences related to these last year have contributed to developed my critical sense and a personal point of view about themes that involve architecture, looking for comparision i feel totally ready.

The projects where chosen to highlight the diverse scale and approaches adopted during my design formation and career. During the last five years i have been searching and recording the ambients and atmospheres than have the abbility of explaining a whole idea from one pic, the understood of the space and light from one only photograph. To chase this aim i use an iPhone 6s camera and edited my pics in lightroom.

01 Masriera civic centre
(year) 5th (typology) social & cultural (place) Barcelona, Spain The set of buildings is understood as one, different pieces that have been added to the initial volume as needs arose and all of them make up one. A collage of eras, a palimpsest to which layers have been incorporated over time. It is this twin of pieces and epochs that gives character to the building. This volume aims to solve all the problems perceived in the workshop, from ventilation and sanitation to communications and natural lighting.

(year) 4th (typology) social & housing (place) Pamplona, Spain An apartment building with offices in ground floor is proposed. The site is located in a strategic area in the city, facing La Vuelta del Castillo of Pamplona. Therefore we proposed a pair of volumenes over a basament facing the park and closing to the rest of its facades providing the privacity request. The accesses are proposed at the back of the plot in order to leave the main facades free and creating a patio at the back for the offices workers.

A escape game is proposed in tha old sugar factory of San Isidro in Granada. The project begins in the memory of the place and the building. The project consist on the incorporation of a series of volumenes of iron and glass as a recovery of the materials used in the factory. This volumenes act as filters and enclosed the whole program inside.

A new town plan is proposed in Alzuza, Spain to located our next project. 40 houses with a sport centre, a school and a council room + bar 2ยบ. A council room + bar is projected from the urbanization previously carried out. Main axes are established from which a lookout building is proposed, framing the views of the city, an apology to Oteiza.

(year) 4th (typology) city recuperation (place) Los Angeles After the study of the urban space of Los Angeles we came to the conclusion of the absence of two fundamental aspects in a functional city, as would be the absence of public space and the poor functioning of urban transport. As a solutionn a total conditioning of the River of Los angeles is proposed creating a green lung that runs trought the city and using the river as a new communication system. Besides staggered public spaces are proposed to contain the olympic villages and prevent flooding these way.

The program should content a squash pitch, a swimingpool, garage etc. We decided to built the house as a transition with the exterior, a filter that is closed to the unknown and opens to the garden.

During the summer internship i was asked to developed a serial prototypes of a hill house facing the Mediterranean sea in the Malaga´s coast. A step hill (40%) with the entrance at his top conforms the plot. The vacational villa should contains three bedrooms, parking lot and a elevator as part of the program.

08 hostel + city hub
(year) 3th (typology) social & housing (place) Burgos, Spain A hostel and a city hub is proposed in the city of Burgos, located in the center facing the medieval cathedral in a neuralgic plaza. Due to its great influx of pilgrims we designed a shelter to welcomes them. An architecture in height is proposed to leave the square free and introducing it to the project. Three large chimneys are posed in the middle of it as a similitude to the cubos of Burgos, ancient constructions that protected the city in the past.

(year) 2th (typology) social & housing (place) Pamplona, Spain Started from and old construction in the Arga river in Pamplona a refugee centre is planned. An economic and flexible architecture is proposed in order of the urgent needs. A withe box as a lighthouse for the refugees posed over the ancient walls contains two floors of rooms and the old building contains the public parts of the programe.
