Vitrine Aluminium are proud to announce they have partnered up with B&P Windows in Wakefield.
With the death of Queen Elizabeth II, whether Monarchist or Republican, we have probably all been left reeling at the news.
This was a woman who has been a steadying figurehead for 70 years and she carved a niche role for herself from the start.
Her Majesty still managed to command respect after her passing and most of us will believe that she deserved every inch of it. She continued to make history in every sense - it wasn’t just the streets of the capital that fell silent, it was the whole world
She was at the centre of our history, and as her coffin lay in state, she still commanded our attention, so we readily, mournfully, and respectfully succumbed. The sombre message was very clear, we had to face that we needed to say our final goodbye.
The government estimated around 250,000 people over 4 days queued to view the coffin of the Queen lying in state. Staggeringly, this stretched to nearly 10 miles long at its longest point. Most celebrities forgot their self important egos and waited their turn to show their last respects.
As the trumpeter sounded the Last Post, an eerie silence followed that, which appeared to be even louder. Her quiet passing heralded the end of an era in our country’s history. 5.2 billion people across the globe witnessed this last goodbye and our sorrow at losing her.
As the piper played a lament while the Queen was carried out of the abbey, the guests followed, stunned by the silence and the momentous event they had all witnessed. Our lives have all changed and we are into a new chapter. We have witnessed a majestic, solemn and spirited moment in history.
As we all know, time doesn’t stand still for anyone after they have died, whether that is a Queen, a nurse or a girl who lost her life for removing a face covering. In one way or another they all have their part in history.
So, as we all resurface and life returns to some form of normality, we are learning that the Bank of England considers we may already be in a recession. In moves to battle growing inflation, the government has stated that it will allow us to hold onto more of our earnings by reversing the increase in National Insurance.
As we evaluate the mini budget, it is now confirmed that the planned increase in tax paid by companies on their profits will be scrapped.
Other cuts in taxes include the threshold before stamp duty is paid on a property is now £250,000 whilst the basic rate of income tax has been cut to 19p, and the 45p top rate of tax will be scrapped. The new Chancellor has also ended the cap on banker’s bonuses. Furthermore there are plans to boost economic growth by creating low-tax zones across the UK. The slight drawback to all this is that these measures could cost us upwards of £30bn.
From November 6th, last April’s tax rise of 1.25% will be reversed, while funding for health and social care will be taken from general taxation. These changes are expected to save around 28 million people a yearly average of £330.
As our new chancellor, Kwasi Kwarteng put forward his growth plan in a statement to Parliament, he is considered bold by his colleagues, with an inner confidence and unorthodox views. It is believed, as a Chancellor, he will annihilate previous Treasury thinking by cutting taxes without any spending cuts, so this is all to be funded by increased borrowing.
It is a brave fiscal experiment and the results will need to be fast so that we can all see strong economic growth and quickly. It is certainly a bold and confident move but recovery is also about the markets’ confidence as well as public confidence in the revised taxation plans.
To say the last few years have been financially challenging is an understatement, with policy changes, rising living costs and a turbulent economy in general, leaving it tough for any of us to budget or plan ahead.
The best advice we seem to hear is that everyone should prepare and plan as best as possible by prioritising essential bills. Putting aside a savings buffer with a separate, small amount dedicated to Christmas this year is also highly recommended by many financial experts. Sensible intentions we probably all need to consider for the longer term.
For many homeowners using a conservatory all year round is still a frustration due to noise disruption and cleaning issues. While retrofitting new glass roofs onto older conservatories still offers a lot of potential business for installers, understanding how the various tints of glass can greatly improve the chances of a sale is essential.
Modernising glazed extensions without losing any of the benefits gained from natural light, is just one of the advantages. Understanding the colours of the tints and the loc nations it should be used is very beneficial when looking to make a sale.
The blue and aqua tinted glasses are most popular and offer exceptional performance if situated in a south facing garden, but there are other options out there that may be better for other locations, such as a more neutral glass for a north facing plot.
Neutral tints for conservatories will offer the end user a very natural appearance to a finished conservatory project.
Light, glare and heat reduction have become important points of consideration for consumers looking to install or upgrade their glass rooms, orangeries or conservatories. Upgrading to a stunning glass roof really brightens up a home with glass roofing in any tint allowing occupants to use the area recreationally as an integral part of the house.
High-performance glazing panels will immediately eliminate draughts and give greater soundproofing qualities. Temperatures can be optimised for use all year round, with high performance thermal glasses standing up to the toughest weather extremes - depending on the tint of glass installed.
The self-cleaning glass options on the market today have revolutionised the conservatory and
orangery markets, with great colour and performance
options available today. Installers looking to add a little to their repertoire would do well to include tinted glasses into their portfolios.
Today, there are a wide variety of dynamic colour options available in conservatory design, with manufacturers developing glass products that will blend with popular and the most modern conservatory colours on the market.
In such a competitive marketplace, homeowners tend to be pleasantly surprised at how cost effective replacement conservatory roofs can be, with modern glazing alternatives.
Installing the right coloured glass brings improved lifestyle benefits thanks to the tints available which offer a combination of heat reflection, thermal efficiency and self-cleaning properties as well as striking aesthetics that are hard to beat.
As a means of adding value via the simple process of glass roof renovation is still an excellent method of adding an extra dimension to a business.
Morley Glass has added a new black option for its Venetian UniBlinds® integral blinds range to provide the perfect solution in darker coloured frames, especially popular anthracite grey windows and doors.
The new blind system, which as with all Uni-Blinds® is custommade to fit precisely within the cavity of a double or triple glazed unit, is all black – that means the slats, the cords, header unit and sideguides where applicable are perfectly colour matched. The new product is the result of the close partnership between Morley Glass and ScreenLine® integral blinds manufacturer Pellini S.p.A., who pioneered this type of shading and privacy system in the 1970s.
The black option brings the number of Uni-Blinds® integral Venetian blind colours to eleven, giving any homeowner or commercial customer the opportunity to coordinate the blinds with their décor, whatever the colour scheme. Its development is yet another example of how Morley Glass is working to give installers the best available range so they can offer individually tailored integral blinds to their customers – maximising sales potential in the process.
Ian Short, Managing Director of Morley Glass said: “You asked, we delivered! We’ve listened to feedback from Uni-Blinds® installers and responded to a growing desire from homeowners for black Venetian blinds – we took up the mantle and, working closely with Pellini, made a black integral blind a reality.
“Having eleven colours to choose from in our Venetian integral blinds, as well as twelve options in our pleated blinds and eight pleated blackout colours, gives installers the creative freedom to cater for different tastes. Whilst many customers will still love our exclusive anthracite grey (S159) Venetian blinds or perhaps metallic silver for dark coloured frames, we expect black to prove extremely popular. And black work very well with lighter frames too, including 2022’s go-to colour, agate grey.” As with all colours, five different control systems are available for black Venetian UniBlinds® integral blinds, including the popular cordless slider controlled SV System and the smarthome compatible MB System, which can be integrated with home-automation systems.
All Uni-Blinds® are supplied in the industry’s shortest lead times – manufactured to order in Leeds by Morley Glass in as little as 10-12 days, when an order is placed by 10am on Thursdays, with complimentary nationwide delivery.

The options for incorporating colour in glazed windows and doors are becoming endless. From roofs to bay windows its possible to inject colour into your glazing projects.
Tinted glass in roofs
Different colour tints are available for conservatories including blue and bronze. The blue tint can help bring the temperature down by deflecting some solar rays.
Most brands also have self-cleaning properties. Bronze tint glass which also reduces heat and glare is a great choice to compliment dark frames such as rosewood.
Composite door glass
With hundreds of different designs to choose from, almost every colour is available to have on a door. Coloured film in lead is an option for a traditional look.
Bevels can be chosen for a more contemporary look. Bespoke designs can also be replicated such as a picture or certain animal or logo for businesses. Some manufacturers are even offering glass which is handcrafted.
Bevels for top lights and bay windows
Glass bevels can add an eye-catching feature to a window or bay window. Normally situated in top lights, bevels can include a colour or just clear.
When the light catches a spectrum of colour is seen like a prism effect. Film in leaded glass could also be used as a potentially cheaper option.
Using colour in glazing is popular particularly in composite doors but not so much in windows. Although a more expensive option it can help your property stand out and add a decorative, elegant look.
Whether it’s on the top lights of bays or a casement windows bevels or coloured top lights can add an attractive feature to a property.
Your glass supplier will no doubt have had requests for this type of glazing and will be willing to accommodate for homeowners needs.
The NFAs are not just about marketing your business or raising its profile, they are a genuine acknowledgement from the sector that your company stands out and is the best of the best. Hallmark Doors & Panels has enjoyed another very successful year and has solidified its position as one of the leading composite door manufactures in the UK.
Following five years of significant investments in additional factory space and new plant equipment the business has purchased 22 brand new fully livered vehicles in order, to ensure Hallmark provide a reliable delivery service and a professional image whilst delivering to our valued customers, the business continues to go from strength to strength and now employs around 150 high quality staff. Despite being a rapidly growing company Hallmark remains an organisation that values its workforce and fully appreciates the contribution they make to the Companies future success ,the business enjoys low staff turnover despite being in an area of high demand for good quality employees which is primarily due to the level of appreciation that the Directors regularly show to the rest of the team.

Wynyard-based manufacturer celebrates a huge amount of nominations for the 2022 National Fenestration Awards, covering various aspects of the thriving business.
Fresh from a joint category win last year for the new Bi-Folding Door, Made For Trade has enjoyed an extremely productive last 12 months from its North East base, thanks to their gamechanging Korniche product line. As a result, the team is thrilled to have been nominated for no fewer than nine different categories in the 2022 NFAs, representing not just product innovation, but everything from manufacturing capability to business, sales and marketing.
The first pair of nominations see MFT recognised under the categories of both Aluminium Fabricator of the Year and Fabricator/Manufacturer of the Year. As a company whose family business roots lie in manufacturing and engineering, this nomination is appreciated following significant efforts to implement new processes at MFT, and the fenestration industry itself. From lean manufacturing to the recent ISO9001 certification, the company’s methods and efforts for heightening quality, improving lead times - and of course reducing cost to the consumer - are certainly recognised with these two NFA categories.
Also in the manufacturing sphere is the award nomination for Bi-Folding Door Manufacturer of the Year. The Korniche Bi-Folding Door was introduced less than 12 months ago and since launch continues to grow its market share as trade partners recognise the pioneering engineering-led focus and hassle-free, time-saving ease of installation qualities. Taking on the values of the hugely successful Roof Lantern, both Korniche products subscribe to the same ethos and are now requested by homeowners and consumers by name alone, thanks to its market-leading aesthetics, and outstanding thermal and security details.
As the awards focus in more detail on MFT’s products, next on the heady list of nominations are both Door Component of the Year and New Product 2022 - both for the revolutionary Korniche Bi-Fold clipin bead, known as ‘SPEEDBEAD’.
The SPEEDBEAD delivers a truly game-changing solution in the glazing world, with a simple clip bead product that vastly improves the time to install and glaze MFT’s bi-folding doors. Supplied fully labelled and with comprehensive installation instructions, this is one of the hallmark qualities that means a Korniche Bi-Folding Door is a must to vastly reduce fitting time on site. Furthermore, the unique advantage of Korniche’s SPEEDBEAD is that the beads can be removed with the specially designed tool (provided with each door kit), allowing beads to be safely removed and replaced for any reason, with no damage to any components.
Next up, Conservatory Product and Conservatory Fabricator categories for the Lantern Roof prove that the top-rated Korniche product continues to be the market leader in its sector. Not only are sales figures at an all time high, but MFT’s consumer research and the attention at recent exhibitions cement the continual demand for this innovative product, loved by homeowners for its design as much as installers for its ease of fitment and clever colour graphic instructions.
Away from the manufacturing workshop and into the office, the nomination of Digital Marketing Campaign of the Year for the Korniche Lantern represents the recent development of the brand, and is a project that has raised the profile of both the product and Korniche name itself across both trade and consumer applications. The marketing campaign that has been delivered for Korniche ensures that MFT’s trade partners benefit from the significant investment in high impact consumer advertising and brand awareness; brand toolkits are free to all trade customers and allow them to key in to MFT campaigns and Korniche brand recognition.
The list of nominations is rounded out with a well-deserved Business Development Manager / Sales Executive of the Year nomination for Chris Caley, Sales Executive at Made for Trade. A member of staff who represents MFT to the highest of standards; Chris is at the forefront of customer sales support and is always on hand to help trade customers, from initial direct sales, to setting up customer accounts, and advice on using the clever Korniche KwikQuote system.
Speaking of the huge number of nominations for 2022, Made For Trade’s Operations Director Chris Wann said: “Following our success at last year’s awards with a joint win for the Korniche Bifolding Door, being shortlisted for this huge number of awards in 2022 is incredible, all of which are core to our business services and principles. The support in nominations alone is amazing and MFT are proud to have the backing of voters and pick up any one of those nominated categories.”
Made For Trade extends a huge thank you to all those who nominated the company for these awards.
A window and door system designed to authentically replicate 19th Century timber designs. It can accommodate 28mm and 44mm glazing to create highly efficient glazed units that offer outstanding thermal and acoustic performance, with a WER rating of A++ and U-values as low as 0.74 w/m2K. History sweeps our nation. From picture postcard villages, with thatched roofs and whitewashed walls, to Victorian warehouses that tell the story of the Age of Industry - what was built in the past still has a huge bearing on the present. It’s a part of what makes our architectural reputation, so it’s no surprise that legislation and regulations are designed to protect buildings of significant interest.
It’s not just ‘listed’ buildings, either. No matter the age or aesthetic, if a building falls within a designated conservation area there are guidelines which must be adhered to. This can include Article 4 directions, which could require planning permission for everything from external windows and doors to roof tiles.
This poses a challenge - how do buildings within these kinds of areas carry out renovations that introduce the latest standards of performance, efficiency and sustainability whilst still retaining their prized heritage aesthetic, and meeting such legislative requirements? By choosing innovative solutions like the timber alternative windows and doors provided by The Residence Collection. Purposefully designed, they’re often specifically suggested by local authority Conservation Officers as a modern, high-performance solution that fulfills heritage expectations at the same time.
Let’s take Sewell Park Academy in Norwich as an example. The stately, early 20th century building lies within a conservation area designated in 1979, requiring the preservation of features like the original wooden windows - now draughty, inefficient and detrimental to the needs of the modern classroom. The building is also locally listed, requiring sympathetic use of materials to match the original timber construction of elements such as doors and windows.
As part of a wider renovation, 170 seamless weld Residence 9 windows were installed by Homelink Direct Ltd, in Grained White, with Georgian bars matching the original sash timber designs, and external weatherbars used to add historic detailing to the windows. The result is superior acoustic performance, higher security, and greater thermal performance - a much more welcome environment for students to learn year round.
The project received recognition at the G-Awards, winning Best Commercial Project. Andrew Williams of Boudica Schools Trust commented: ‘We chose Residence windows after searching for a product that matched our existing windows as near as possible due to being in a conservation area and having certain restrictions placed on us by the local council.’
It was a similar story at Scarborough College, spread over a 14-acre site close to the North Yorkshire seaside. The institution has been providing the highest standards of education for over a century, so ensuring a productive, safe and comfortable learning environment for students has always been essential.
Scarborough College has been designated a Grade II Listed Building, requiring careful consideration for any renovation or restoration projects. So replacing doors and windows is a task requiring careful planning and choice of supplier. But once again, The Residence Collection was specified for its authentic timber aesthetic and provided a solution that went above and beyond expectations.
Residence 9 in Grained White with mechanical joints matched the original, crumbling timber sash windows both externally and internally, with black monkey tail handles introducing the heritage look and feel students have been used to over the decades. As with Sewell Park Academy, the result was superior across all standards of performance - acoustic, thermal, security and sustainability. In a time of rising fuel bills, institutions like Scarborough College will benefit greatly from better insulated windows and doors, with maintenance-free construction that should last a lifetime.
Both examples demonstrate perfectly the options The Residence Collection provides for updating and renovating historic buildings with high performance timber alternatives, whilst maintaining the aesthetic and historic elements that meet local conservation requirements, and preserve the look and feel of the building for future generations.

In light of recent surveys commissioned by major profile houses which highlighted that more than two-thirds of UK homeowners would choose windows and doors with a higher recycled content, CNC Recycling as part of our commitment to promote the message to homeowners has during the last four months launched a campaign to open up collection services not only to commercial but to see if was there a demand for collections directly from residential and homeowners.
This has resulted in a huge 84.60% uplift of traffic into our website with almost 4,500 enquiries for further information about the recycling scheme. The interesting statistic is that 75.23% of these enquiries where residential. There was a vast spread of enquiries Nationally, however the main area of interest was London which accounted for 24.90% of the total. It has resulted in hundreds of lead conversions.
These requests varied from one UPVC window frame, removal of a conservatory to a request to remove frames from several properties. One of the most interesting and repetitive points was that the homeowners struggle to get old frames recycled as most local council recycling facilities (tips) would not accept old windows and doors.
Sales & Purchasing Director Ian Ward added “Homeowners appear to be delighted that there was a recycling scheme available for the recycling of old windows and it also shows that they care that their old windows are dealt with sustainably, diverting them from landfill and back into the supply chain.
Furthermore, this evidenced that there is a demand and requirement for old windows to be recycled directly from homeowners and this area of the marketplace which are looking to capture.” CNC Recycling are continuing with the campaign to open this up to domestic as well as commercial customers. We always look to promote the message that PVC-U windows are truly sustainable and we are always looking for new areas to collect and recycle to ensure all old windows have a home for recycling for many years to come.
CNC Recycling are very proud to have been nominated for two awards in this years National Fenestration Awards. We have been nominated again for Recycling Company of The Year and our very own Kate Riley has been nominated for Business Development Manager / Sales Executive of the Year award. We would be very humbled if you could take the time to kindly vote for us herewww.fenestrationawards.co.uk/vote/

Sam Hill, Head of Marketing for Reynaers Aluminium UK, looks at some of the ways the company is meeting the needs of its customers by developing innovative products and systems suitable for both the commercial and trade and retail sectors. Reynaers has over 50 years-experience developing innovative and sustainable aluminium windows, doors and façades, many of which can be seen in residential and commercial buildings all over the world. Here in the UK specifically, Reynaers is highly regarded by architects and trade professionals alike as having one of the most notable ranges of aluminium systems available today. As demand for aluminium continues to grow across both the commercial and retail environments, we continue to invest in our systems and services so fabricators working in either sector have a varied choice of high-performance products and systems to meet their customers’ requirements.
Our focus as a manufacturer has always been on creating energy-efficient, responsibly made products that successfully blend design and technology. Using these principles, we’re able to create solutions that add value to our customers. In the case of fabricators and installers we do this by offering a varied range of products and systems that not only meet the necessary regulations – however stringent these are - but deliver on performance and aesthetics, are easy to fabricate, cost effective to produce, and can be installed safely and efficiently. Our headquarters in Birmingham provides a central base from which we service our nationwide network of fabricators and installers. It’s also where we’ve built a large showroom that’s open to all our fabricator and trade partners giving them the opportunity to view our most popular and innovative products. We supplement this through tailored technical support for architects, fabricators and installers to ensure the correct specification and application of systems and products.
Reynaers has also become registered as a British Fenestration Ratings Council (BFRC) systems house. This move allows our customers and supply chain to take advantage of the ratings on our products and systems and gives a simple and cost effective route to achieving and demonstrating compliance to building regulations. Reynaers’ BFRC registered fabricator customers can cascade the WER and DER labels to their customers as long as they fit insulated glass units and other components specified to the simulation which achieves that specific rating. There are also additional benefits for FENSA registered installers, who can get access to BFRC ratings as a result of Reynaers being an approved BFRC systems provider.
We’re very proud to provide our customers with a fully comprehensive, contemporary and highly competitive choice when it comes to aluminium products. As such a number of the company’s most innovative door and window systems are available to fabricators selling into both the commercial specification and retail or domestic markets. The ConceptPatio 130 (CP 130) lift and slide patio door system, for example, is prolifically specified and installed in both commercial and residential buildings. Arguably Reynaers’ most popular system, we’ve cornered the market with this product, giving architects and homeowners the opportunity to take advantage of the current trend for opening up traditional window spaces.
The CP 130 range makes it possible to completely open up two sides of a room enhancing light and space and giving the feeling of bringing the outside into a room. Another of our products that cuts across both commercial and trade and retail sector is the HiFinity sliding door, and in contrast to the CP 130, is inline instead of lift and slide. It has thermally insulated sections and also offers excellent security as well as impressive weather resistance. It also comes in a range of colours and is offered with a range of market-leading components, and comes in two, three, four or six-panel door options so offers architects and homeowners a great deal of versatility.
Reynaers’ HiFinity sliding system is an extremely popular choice for both architects and homeowners today, thanks to its slimline frame and ability to be fitted to bespoke height – up to 4 metres - and widths. The ultra-slim design is highly engineered and seamlessly extends the interior to the outside with multiple threshold options. HiFinity can also carry the weight of a large sliding glass pane up to 330kg for manual slide, and 775kg for the motorised option, and fixed panels up to 1200 kg. The system also comes with a choice of options so can be tailored specifically for different requirements. These include a choice of mechanical lock, manual operation, electric lock manual operation and motorised operating options. A system that has been designed very much to meet future demands offering both high levels of energy efficiency and the on-trend architectural aesthetics; the high energy performance and minimalist look of the system makes it one of the best solutions available today, and distinctly different from anything else currently on the market. HiFinity is an exclusive system and is only produced by selected fabricators.
With such an extensive range of aluminium window, door and façade systems and products we can ensure fabricators can meet the needs of their own customers, whether in the commercial or retail/trade setting. Hardware manufacturer VBH, the company behind the greenteQ brand, has announced that customers who have added the Q-Smart electronic door handle to their door furniture options have seen increased sales recently.
Q-Smart is a stand-alone product that enables the user to gain entry to their home without the need of a traditional key. Instead, they can use their fingerprint, contact card or a phone app to gain entry. Locking is carried out by simply lifting the lever.
Temporary or permanent ‘keys’ can be sent to anyone from anywhere via the smartphone app, which is ideal for granting access to carers, or when family members need to be let in unexpectedly.
Companies who buy Q-Smart have the option of joining the Q-Smart Network, which is a list of companies that end users are directed to if they contact VBH for a Q-Smart quote or installation.
VBH advise that they have invested in direct marketing of Q-Smart to help provide free leads to the network’s members. Activities have included localised advertising and telesales campaigns, advertising in well-known national consumer titles, and even sponsorship in the 2022 British Touring Car Championship.
Gary Gleeson, marketing manager at VBH says: “The vast majority of our products mean absolutely nothing to the general public as they are just components on a window or door. Q-Smart is an exception, though, as it is a stand-alone item, and anyone can easily see what it does and what benefits it brings.
“With that in mind we decided to support our customer base by carrying out some B2C marketing, in a similar way to what we do with our Q-secure consumer security guarantee. We have picked up quite a few sales as a result, which is great for us and great for the members of the Q-Smart Network. Many customers have built on the work that we are doing, and have installed a Q-Smart in their own showroom. They are reporting that Q-Smart really is an attention grabber. We would recommend that installers talk to us about getting a sample in place as soon as possible.”
Companies wishing to join the Q-Smart Network should email VBH at marketing@vbhgb.com or send them a Tweet @vbhgb.

Marc Henson, Head of Marketing at Kubu, talks about several award nominations and why you should “Be Smart, Vote for Kubu” We started our journey nearly 3 years ago as a pioneer in the industry for smart sensor technologies in windows and doors and it’s safe to say we’ve achieved a great deal in a relatively short space of time. Kubu is the number one choice for both manufacturing partners and savvy installers as the go to and trusted brand when it comes to smart tech.
Our ‘Be Smart, Work With Kubu’ campaign has been a revelation this year culminating with the FIT Show and recent launch of the window sensor which is already being fitted and activated as standard by a growing number of installers nationwide. We’ve been nominated for Digital Marketing Campaign of the Year and Best Use of Video in 2022 in the National Fenestration Awards and are also a finalist in the G-Awards for Promotional Campaign of the Year – the first time a smart business of this nature has been nominated for multiple trade awards.
Cast your mind back to the lead up to the fit show, throughout the show and the immediate aftermath, the general consensus was that we were everywhere. One customer was quoted as saying “What on earth are you doing? I can’t go anywhere without seeing Kubu!”
Developed as a double-entendre, the ‘Be Smart’ campaign was developed to motivate Installers & Fabricators to welcome ‘Smart’ into their business, but also to encourage them to make the right decision on their Smart Partner. Their products and business can “be” smart by working with Kubu, but also they should make the smart decision and work with Kubu! Additionally, it complements the “Works with Kubu®” messaging that is assigned to all products - from hardware to finished windows/doors - that are designed for Kubu smart security.
With so many, very different product developments and partnerships being announced, it felt like our messaging was in danger of becoming rather disjointed. To create the biggest bang, it was important to create a streamlined campaign to cohesively blend multiple product, benefit and brand partnership messages through one unified, multi-level campaign targeting fabricators, installers and consumers alike.
The culmination of years of hard work in both product development and sales, our “Be Smart, Work with Kubu” campaign introduced industry first products, partnerships and benefits, through high-energy and high-quality videos, posts, party, POS, and PR - all with one crystal clear message, giving our customers even more reasons to “Work with Kubu’.
OK. Blah, blah, blah, just cut to the chase… Did it work? Well, we certainly like to think so!
We had one of (if not the) largest footfalls on our stand at the show (in fact, others even commented that their show was a success because they were next to us); We had insanely good analytics stats (30%+ engagement rates, 28.5% click-throughs, 500%+ increase in page views, you get the picture…); And, we walked away with over 200 qualified leads which we have been consistently converting them ever since!
All because we drove awareness and desire through our digital campaigns and video production. If you liked our content and would like to see more, please head on over to place your final votes.
We’ll buy you a drink if we win. Promise!

Bereco have just announced the successful passing of their annual BlueSky certification audit. The thorough process involves a third-party examination of the products’ weather performance, security, manufacturing, paint application, production processes and material sourcing. These factors, among others, give purchasers a heightened level of confidence in Bereco products’ quality and sustainability.
Bereco also passed their annual Forest Stewardship Council audit, renewing their FSC100% chain of custody certification. This denotes Bereco’s wooden windows and doors are made solely from FSC® 100% certified timber, continuing the company’s ongoing commitment to tackling deforestation.
Nicola Harrison, managing director at Bereco commented, “Sustainability and quality certifications mean so much to us here at Bereco - because we know how much they mean for our customers and the planet. Our BlueSky and FSC accreditations certify our commitment to these causes and are unrivalled in the industry. As regulation evolves, builders, developers and architects must look to suppliers with these accreditations as reputable, reliable and trustworthy partners to avoid unwanted costs and non-compliance.”
Being leaders in the industry, Bereco aims to educate and champion more sustainable practices throughout the supply chain. Their most recent efforts include a series of webinars for industry professionals to give an understanding of 2022’s building regulation update with regard to Approved Documents L, F and O. When the foundations for the Sheerline system were laid, one of the weaknesses of existing aluminium systems that needed addressing was the sectors reliance on polyamide thermal breaks.
While polyamide did create a ‘thermal barrier’ that met older thermal efficiency standards, the material struggled to meet the improved standards required by the UK’s carbon reduction commitments. This need to improve the energy efficiency of the nation’s homes has never been clearer than it is right now, with the average household energy bill set to rise to a staggering £3,549 this year, with further increases forecast in 2023.
From the start it was clear that a better solution was required, a thermal break designed for more stringent legislation, that also overcame some of the other inherent limitations of polyamide. It was this need that led to Thermlock®, one of the eureka moments for Roger Hartshorn and his R&D team, when they created the Sheerline system in 2018/2019.
Thermlock® multi-chambered thermal breaks are unique to Sheerline and sit at the heart of every Sheerline product. Made from a special high melting point formulation, which is almost half as thermally conductive as polyamide, Thermlock® allows for wider, integrated one-piece designs that add rigidity to profiles, eliminating the distortion that can occur with separate top and bottom polyamide thermal breaks. This means that every Sheerline product meets the new Part L standards with regular double glazing – helping customers supply high performance products without adding cost. With Sheerline, Part L compliance comes as standard.
While other systems companies are busy trying to shoehorn solutions into their legacy systems, either adding cost via foam inserts or forcing customers to ‘upgrade’ to expensive triple glazing, or much wider systems to meet these new standards, Sheerline customers are left with a competitive advantage and a clear easy to understand, and perfectly matched product offer.
Drawing on their years of experience within the fenestration industry the Sheerline team also knew Thermlock® needed to be as fabricator and installer friendly as possible and its improved screw retention over polyamide helped Sheerline systems pass the most rigorous of tests with ease.
Having already invested over £1million in tooling for its own in-house produced Thermlock® thermal breaks, Sheerline and its customers are already benefiting from the clear advantages this technology brings with better performance and integrated onsite manufacture minimising the risk of third-party supply issues. Coupled to the ability to react quickly to any future tightening of thermal requirements, Sheerline customers can be confident they’ll be ready once again to succeed in an ever-changing marketplace.

The Uni-Blinds® W Smart integral blind system from Morley Glass is enabling homeowners to benefit from the convenience of a motorised shading and privacy solution for their windows and doors without adding to their electricity use.
Using power generated from a small photovoltaic panel mounted on the exterior frame of the window or door, the W Smart operates completely independently of a home’s mains electricity supply. The ‘free’ solar energy from the sun ensures a rechargeable battery is continuously charged-up to give the integral blind more than sufficient electricity to operate it under normal conditions.
Available in a Venetian or pleated style, as with all Uni-Blinds® the W Smart is manufactured exclusively using the zaesthetics. It is simple to operate using a slide touch button control device magnetically attached to the window or by a remote control unit, both of which raise and lower the blind – and, in the case of the Venetian, tilt the slats.
W Smart represents the latest in innovative and ecological Italian design, providing an integral blind that can be encapsulated within a 20, 22, 27 or 29mm cavity double glazed unit. The blind does not require hardwiring into a home’s mains electrical system, which makes installation straightforward without the need for an electrician.
Ian Short, Managing Director of Morley Glass said: “Never before have homeowners been so conscious of electricity usage which means that energy efficient and 100% renewable energy powered products are in great demand. The beauty of the W Smart is that it can operate totally free of mains power apart from a very occasional boost using a micro-USB connection, giving homeowners the benefits of a motorised integral blind without adding to their electricity bills.”
Another exciting development of W Smart, due for release early 2023, is a smart home enhancement. A new plug and play smart hub called ScreenHub®, developed by ScreenLine® manufacturer Pellini, enables the blind to be controlled using a smart phone app – a further benefit in addition to the remote control device already provided.
The eco-credentials of W Smart can be enhanced further through the manufacture of the double glazed units by Morley Glass using advanced glass products that offer superior thermal insulation and solar control. Specifying glass such as Planitherm One for W Smart blinds will deliver a complete integrated solar powered blind unit with ultra-low U-values, and solar control can be boosted by choosing Saint-Gobain COOLLITE SKN 176 glass to prevent summertime overheating.
W Smart, as with all Uni-Blinds®, is supplied in the industry’s shortest lead times – manufactured to order in Leeds by Morley Glass in as little as 10-12 days, when an order is placed by 10am on Thursdays, with complimentary nationwide delivery.

Sheerline’s newest appointments will bolster the sales team and support its ambitious next level expansion plans. In just two years, the Sheerline brand has gone from strength to strength, building a reputation for being one of the most innovative aluminium window and door systems on the market.
It was successfully launched after Derbyshire manufacturer, Garnalex, spotted a gap in the market for premium UK made aluminium windows, doors, and roof lanterns that offered easy fabrication and installation, exceptional thermal efficiency, and stylish, consistent aesthetics.
The newest member of the Sheerline sales team, George Esler, Area Sales Manager, joins to look after customers based in the North. As part of his new role, he is supporting installers and fabricators who are ready to switch to Sheerline’s comprehensively Part L compliant and fully matched system.
Having previously worked for Window Ware as an Area Sales Manager, George brings with him a wealth of valuable industry experience and will play a crucial role in helping new and existing customers to get the most out of the Sheerline range.
In addition, Tony Basile has been promoted to Sheerline Sales Director. He has worked for Garnalex CEO Roger Hartshorn since 1991 at Eurocell, Liniar, and now Sheerline. In his new role, Tony is responsible for the sales team and spearheads growing the Sheerline brand.
Tony commented: “As we grow, the intention is to expand the team and make sure we continue to give our fabricator network the continued high level of support and guidance they have become accustomed to. We want to make sure that all our fabricators feel wanted, needed, and respected.”
Putting new members of the sales team in place now will ensure Sheerline achieves its strategic growth targets without sacrificing the high levels of customer service its customers value.
Part of the ethos behind Sheerline is continual investment, both in cutting-edge equipment and the people who help turn the Sheerline vision into a reality. To date, this investment has enabled Garnalex to establish one of the most modern and efficient aluminium facilities in the UK with an experienced and knowledgeable workforce.
Roger Hartshorn, Garnalex CEO, said: “The strategic decisions we are making now will take our business to the next level. We’re putting the right people in the right positions to help us improve our systems while maintaining our efficiency. It is a pleasure to work with such a dedicated, hardworking, and knowledgeable team and I look forward to seeing our strategic vision come to fruition.”

Just as other parts of the fenestration supply chain begin to bed in some stability, we are still seeing volatile conditions in the glass part of our market, with multiple warnings that the cost of glass is going to rise further in the coming months. Inflation looks like it’s here to stay for a while yet.
In what is becoming a trend of upfront commentary, Clayton Glass issued a news release via its website to explain why the cost of glass is very likely to be going up in the next few months. But I will paraphrase some of the areas they mention.
The first place to start is the war in Ukraine. Russia has essentially turned off the gas taps to Europe in response to sanctions. According to Clayton Glass, 20% of the cost of glass production is gas. The UK only buys a very small percentage of its gas from Russia, somewhere around 4% or so. However, the taps being turned off to Europe have sent the cost of wholesale gas soaring across the board. That then filters down the supply chain as higher production costs.
Again on the energy front, the crippling costs of gas and electricity are hitting businesses hard. Companies across the country, including within our sector, are now being hit with eyewatering increases in energy bills as their fixed-term contracts come to an end. New fixed-term deals are becoming harder to find, and it’s worth remembering that the energy price “cap” only applies to homes and not businesses.
New Prime Minister Liz Truss has promised a package that will be announced tomorrow which will spell out the help for both households and businesses to try and limit the damage of future increases, but for some companies where contracts are already finished, that help will come too late.
The energy surcharge, which was introduced by the major glass systems companies, now accounts for 25-30% of the additional cost of glass, according to Clayton Glass. That surcharge has risen sharply to 24p/kg and is forecast to rise further.
Wage inflation is now being mentioned more often. Companies are raising wages to help their staff with the cost of living. But this then feeds into the general inflation spiral, and companies have to pass on those wage increases to their own customers to be able to pay for it.
The long and short of it is there are at least half a dozen issues in play right now and all are contributing to rising costs of glass production. So even if there is a generous energy price package announced on Thursday by Liz Truss, it may not be enough to stem the momentum of inflation in our sector.
Our sector has endured an onslaught of price increases no one has likely ever seen before in their time in the fenestration career. Remember the days we’d all get pissed off at a 2% increase once a year? I think we’d all take that right now.
In the early phase of price increase, the supply chain was comfortable in passing those down to the consumer. At that time, inflation wasn’t a problem, there was no cost of living crisis and people were flush with furlough cash and holiday refunds. That money is now gone, inflation is at a 40-year high and the cost of living is as serious a problem as COVID was.
However, our sector has no real option but to continue to pass any further increases down the supply chain. We’re all getting battered from all directions. Energy costs are rising fast, demand at the same time is dropping off at a very inconvenient time and margins are being squeezed. If suppliers decided to absorb price increases there is a significant chance many would close their doors for good.
Ultimately, installers, who are the last to get hit in the chain, will have to pass any glass price increases on to the homeowner. It’s not ideal, and it will make many feel uncomfortable given the economic backdrop. But installers are not charities either, and everyone has to do what they can to ensure that they can ride this storm out.
Remember, our sector has a very powerful USP in that our products can radically improve the energy efficiency of a home. So whilst prices continue to rise, we also have to continue to make the point that only by investing in your home can you ensure that future energy costs are limited to the absolute minimum they have to be.

Leka Systems has launched its latest product innovation, the new Leka Carport & Canopy System. Rhys Hoddinott, the company’s Managing Director, says: “The Leka Carport & Canopy System provides a durable, lightweight, and rapid construction alternative to more traditional carport systems. It’s packed with features and benefits that homeowners and installers will welcome.”
Like all Leka product solutions, the Leka Carport & Canopy System has compelling appeal and adds value to any portfolio. It can be installed on an existing load-bearing surface or concrete pads, which saves time, mess and stress. Rhys says: “Before, if a homeowner wanted a carport or canopy, they were looking at weeks of disruption to their home. With the Leka Carport & Canopy System, it’s a simple and easy decision that can transform their home in just a couple of days.”
The Leka Carport & Canopy System features Leka’s renowned lightweight, structurally sound GRP framework that means no thermal bridging or moisture absorption. It means the system is incredibly robust and built to stand the test of time.
Installation involves just five simple steps. In most cases, it takes a day or two, with no heavy ground works, mess, or weeks of build time. Firstly, GRP adjustable posts are installed into the correct locations, using feet, if necessary, to secure into place.
Next, the main GRP ring beam and roof structure are installed into position, creating a strong, robust framework. Then, highly engineered, lightweight and load-bearing outer sheets are installed, ensuring fewer roof bars and quicker installation. A high-quality shingle or lightweight slate tile finish is then applied. Lastly, a cladding colour of choice is applied to the underside of the roof and supporting posts. Optional lighting can also be installed if required.
Each section is modular, prefabricated and highly engineered. This gives peace of mind that every piece has been factory-tested before delivery, ensuring a smooth and straightforward installation.
Leka has a reputation for innovative products that revolutionise their market sector. From the lightweight Leka Warm Roof and Leka Orangery Roof to the Leka Xi modular conservatory, the products boost turnover because they combine exceptional consumer appeal with impressive ease of installation. With the Leka Carport & Canopy System, it seems clear the company has done it again.

Hardware manufacturer VBH, the company behind the greenteQ brand, has forged a strong reputation as a supplier to specialist patio door manufacturers. The greenteQ range includes hardware and furniture solutions for aluminium bi-fold and lift/slide patio doors and, most recently, PVCu inline sliding doors.

Glasswin, offers trade fabricators and installers exceptional aluminum doors in 9 different series. With a focus on quality at prices to suit every budget, Director, CJ Kohli, launched these to provide the sector with a bespoke aluminium front doors that would create greater business options for customers.
With more than 20 years experience in the glass and window industry , CJ saw the need for an aluminium door that could suit every budget. As the majority of the front doors in the UK were either composite or upvc; to cater to a niche market that wanted a quality door and were ready to pay more for it; the Glasswin aluminium front doors were launched.
There are 9 different series that can be manufactured for modern or traditional projects in commercial or domestic installations. A couple of high-end door series are produced using Schuco and Reynaers profiles and accessories, while other mid-range and economy series are produced using the profiles developed by Glasswin along with Winkhaus or Gu Locking systems. Depending on the project, the size of the door opening, the customer’s budget; doors can be manufactured in a variety of series ranging from 28mm door panels to 120mm thick flushed door leaf . U value ranging 1.8 W/m2K to 0.69 W/m2K. The choice is vast.
Glasswin only manufactures aluminium front doors and provides the UK with the broadest choice, as no other manufacturer offers 9 different series to suit every budget. The company is not in competition with fabricators of windows and bifold and is keen to work alongside fabricators to help create more business options, with CJ and the team committed to helping them grow. For fabricators interested in manufacturing their own aluminium panel doors, Glasswin is selling aluminium door panels at very affordable prices. The door panels are 28mm thick and have a 1.5mm thick aluminium sheet on either side. There are more than 45 modern designs - with grooves, glazing and stainless-steel trims; all options are available.
In a sector where time is so important, the Glasswin team are all fully aware and trained on providing technical support to fitters and fabricators when it is needed. CJ wanted to ensure that the company could provide answers to technical queries in real-time without the need for time-consuming hold ups on a project.
For this reason, even the administration team all understand the technicalities of the Glasswin range, and can advise fitters and fabricators regarding any queries, even while they are on site. CJ comments, “Every single member of the team can provide customers with the right solution. As a smaller company we can provide customer care faster than larger companies, whose teams may not understand the issues that could arise on an installation. This is something that is very much appreciated by our customers as we can talk to them while they are working on-site on the project. They can video call us from site and we can then technically assist them.”
Understanding the demands on fabricators and fitters, has been very much appreciated by Glasswin customers, as the team can communicate and answer any problems that may arise 24/7, 365 days of the year. This flexible approach to working with customers is threaded through the business. Discussions on individual projects and information on the key benefits the particular aluminium door provides, are handled prior to deliveries.
Likewise with quotes, Glasswin provides a second editable copy to all the fitters and fabricators that includes only the technical data with no prices on it. This can be used to further supply quotes to their own customers saving them so much time. CJ carefully considered this niche market sector and looked at loopholes which previously put time restraints on fabricators and installers. He comments, “Our commitment to the trade is to provide solutions and to minimize hold ups along the line.
Knowing many customers work over the weekend Glasswin is open on Saturday and Sunday until 9 o’clock in the evening via WhatsApp. We want to ensure that we can help whenever we are needed. Customers can send a text or video call and can even provide us with a hand drawn query, which we will process. Glasswin is now looking ahead to provide new solutions to the aluminium front door market. Consequently, the company is now launching a new aluminium pivot front door that can be as high as 3.6 meters.
CJ concludes, “We want to ensure we have the right solutions for the market demands. With multiple options available we have the answer for any project requirements.”

Building Our Skills - Making Fenestration, Glass and Glazing a Career of Choice has received another boost to its campaign to take the industry to the education sector as the starting point for creating a workforce for tomorrow. Six team members from systems company Liniar have enrolled to be a part of the ‘Inspiring the Future’ programme that Building Our Skills is promoting alongside the Education and Employers Charity.
Setting a great example to other employers in the industry, the group from the major manufacturer and supplier of PVCu products has signed up to support the campaign by volunteering to visit schools to help inform youngsters about the possibilities for their future careers, and what they could achieve if they join the Fenestration, Glass and Glazing industry.
Inspiring The Future has been designed to connect young people with the world of work through volunteers. It is seen by Building Our Skills as key in helping to acquaint school age children and their teachers with the industry, and to communicate to them the broad range of job roles and career paths it offers.
The campaign connects volunteers to state primary and secondary schools via its free match-making platform. Volunteers are asked to give just one hour a year to the programme, although they can choose to do more if they wish in order to help inspire children. The first step is to register on the website of Building Our Skills and complete a very simple application form. Teachers who have signed their schools up to the programme can see details of the volunteer, where they are based and the industry they are in, and then invite them to talk to their school about the job they do and the industry they do it in.
Invitations for in-person school visits are based around volunteers being local to the school in question. Virtual visits can also be delivered from anywhere in the UK. Volunteers are supported by the Inspiring the Future team and are given access to training videos as well as training webinars and forums should they wish.
Building Our Skills has highlighted the Education Sector as the single most important area for the industry to focus on to raise awareness of the opportunities it offers and to inspire future generations to look to Fenestration, Glass and Glazing as a career of choice.
Sue Davenport, Liniar’s Group Marketing Director says: “Here at Liniar we’re big supporters of Building Our Skills and we’re proud to do our bit to help the campaign to bridge the skills gap. It’s a goal we share, having pioneered apprenticeships throughout Liniar’s history – and this initiative is a great idea to get youngsters enthused about the fenestration industry. The team has already started its school visits, and I understand the volunteers are very happy to be able to make a difference in this way. We’d encourage other employers in the industry to get on board, especially with the support that’s on offer for volunteers through Building Our Skills.”
Mark Handley, Building Our Skills’ Partnerships Manager, says: “A big thank you to Liniar for agreeing to support the Inspiring the Future campaign by volunteering. We’re now well on the way to achieving our primary objective of securing 50 industry volunteers. I’ve been very pleased with the response, but I urge the fenestration industry to acknowledge the need to get more involved with schools and colleges. Working with Inspiring the Future is a great approach to attracting new talent to the industry, and teaching youngsters about the sheer breadth of roles it has on offer. I think anyone volunteering would find it all very rewarding.”

According to Glenigen, the construction industry ‘monitor’, the sector should see an 8% growth in 2023.
Whilst there are somewhat unsettled conditions economically at the moment, according to Glenigan there looks like a 2% contraction in 2022, followed by a return to growth in 2023.
As global supply chain challenges continue, together with other contributing factors including growing inflation and the Ukranian war, have all hindered the sector’s recovery.
There appears to be positive moves within the build-to-rent sector, with commercial projects also continuing to be developed in urban regeneration.
There may still be challenges to face this year but things are starting to even out as companies adapt to alternative supply chain options.
Earlier this year, the Construction Skills Network forecast that 216,800 new recruits would be needed to meet the construction industry demands by 2025. Almost 10% of the UK workforce is employed in construction, which creates approximately £90bn annually - that is nearly 7% of the GDP. There is still a struggle across fenestration to engage younger workers for construction and renovation jobs therefore tackling this continues to be frustrating.
Commercial and housebuilding activity has remained strong this year, with many SMEs reporting full order books. There is a big demand for domestic renovation projects and home improvements, with energy efficiency now high on the list of ‘must haves’ for homeowners looking to reduce energy bills.
Hopefully this will continue throughout 2022 despite the incessant material shortages, at least now it seems much more manageable.
Inflation, political uncertainty and pricing, particularly regarding glass will undoubtedly still affect projects. Covid could once again raise its ugly head with spikes in winter cases that could affect product availability.
Also, with the introduction of the new UK CA Mark and the UK Registrations, Evaluation, Authorisation & Restriction of Chemicals regulations, could well affect efficient delivery of materials.
The skills shortage remains one of the most urgent and continuous problems in the sector. The ageing workforce is not being replaced as rapidly as we need with around a 1/4 of construction workers currently over the age of 50.
It is great that jobs and apprenticeships are being created, this market has really floundered when it comes to attracting a younger workforce. Clearly, the sector needs to adapt by offering new ways to engage the 20 - 35 year olds.

Building Our Skills - Making Fenestration, Glass and Glazing a Career of Choice has received further support for its campaign to take the industry to the education sector as the starting point for creating a workforce of tomorrow. John Agnew, Group Managing Director of the GGF has committed the support of the organisation to the ‘Inspiring The Future’ campaign being promoted by Building Our Skills alongside the Education and Employers Charity.
‘Inspiring The Future’ has been designed to connect young people with the world of work by engaging volunteers from industry to visit schools and share details of the specific sectors they work in, including career opportunities. It is seen by Building Our Skills as key in helping to acquaint school age children and their teachers with the Fenestration, Glass and Glazing industry, and to communicate to them the broad range of job roles and career paths it offers.
The campaign connects volunteers to state primary and secondary schools via the Education and Employers match-making platform. Volunteers are asked to give just one hour a year to the programme, although they can choose to do more if they wish to help inspire children. The first step is for them to register their interest on the Building Our Skills website and complete a very simple application form. Teachers who have signed their schools up to the programme can see details of volunteers local to them and then invite them to talk to their school about the job they do and the industry they do it in.
Speaking about their commitment, John Agnew said: “At the GGF we are not only fully aware of the skills shortages afflicting our industry, but the implications of it at a very local level for our members, as well as the wider industry. While we recognise that it is a long-term journey, the work that Building Our Skills has started in trying to raise awareness of the industry amongst school age children is something we want to be fully supportive of, and that is why we have committed the energy of the GGF to get behind it. We will be working with Building Our Skills at all levels, nationally and regionally, to give the fullest support, and we will be encouraging our membership to get involved as volunteers where they can.”
Mark Handley, Building Our Skills’ Partnerships Manager, said: “I want to say a big thank you to John and the team at the GGF for committing their support to the Inspiring the Future campaign. It is great to have an organisation of the size and standing of the GGF alongside us. We’re now well on the way to achieving our primary objective of securing 50 industry volunteers and the support of the GGF and its membership will help accelerate that process. I’m very pleased with the response to the call for volunteers to date, but I would like to encourage the whole industry to fully acknowledge the need for us all to do something to help raise awareness of the industry amongst those who may become its workforce of tomorrow. Working with Building Our Skills on the Inspiring The Future campaign is the perfect opportunity, and I would urge as many people as possible to get involved.”

Based in Cheshire, Vitrine Aluminium are an award-winning manufacturer of aluminium windows, doors, patios, bifolds, rooflights, lanterns, curtain walling, commercial doors, and framing systems.
Their most recent award was the 2021 National Fenestration Award for bi-folding door manufacturer of the year.
Vitrine Aluminium are proud to announce they have partnered up with B&P Windows in Wakefield, a leading specialist in fenestration home improvements.
B&P Windows were looking for modern and sleek flat roof solutions to offer their customers and choosing Vitrine Aluminium as showroom partners was the clear first choice.
Vitrine’s Sheerline s1 roof lantern was then expertly installed in the B&P Windows showroom located in Lofthouse, Wakefield. These modern, sleek and stylish lanterns are available in a choice of 10 styles from square ‘pyramid’ designs to grander options suitable for larger ‘orangery’ style installations. Maximum sizes range from 2.4 up to an impressive 6m long, all set at a 25˚ pitch and all weather rated for the whole of the UK.
A contemporary flat rooflight was also installed to show customers a simpler, ‘Framed rooflight’ option. This ultra-slim appearance is a real showstopper, and its outstanding performance means the homeowner receives a stunning space they can use all year round. Innovative and practical, the made to measure Flat Rooflight has been designed to be fitter friendly and easy to assemble, which really speeds up installation on-site.
Vitrine Aluminium also offers a wide range of products from windows to commercial doors and framing.
Existing products in Vitrines portfolio are-
• Bi fold doors - With sleek sightlines.
• Lift & slide/inline sliding doors - Boasting an impressive 47mm interlock and a range of paint finishes (colour matched hardware available).
• Bespoke curtain wall designs - Built to suit all projects both residential and commercial.

Following on from their productive showroom partnerships this month, Vitrine Aluminium are also pleased to announce that after a successful System 1 FPC Audit, they are now able to manufacture multiple solutions to EN12101-2 NSHEV AOV requirements.
Vitrines’ all-new commercial doors and ground floor treatment have been a real hit with their loyal customer base - with its enhanced thermal insulation and a low-level Part M compliant threshold as standard, it’s easy to see why.
The quality of the commercial doors and the wide range of eye-catching hardware is very impressive, and had generated interest immediately with installers and business owners wanting to add the wow-factor to their entrance ways
