The programme contains lectures and debates, a monthly talkshow, cultural and scientific events and a wide range of cultural courses and performances. PLAYS RAVEL & PIAZZOLLA Concert The orchestra Camerata, based in Rotterdam, will show you the similarities between classical and popular music with the sparkling and exciting works of Ravel and Piazzolla. This evening ends with a spectacular musical afterparty in the grand café of Erasmus Paviljoen. Tickets can be bought via our webshop. COMEDY FESTIVAL ROTTERDAM Event Rotterdams first and only comedy festival does not only consist of thematic performances of (inter)national stand-up comedians, but you will also find the best food, drinks and music. GEHEIME DIENST? Lezing Baas van de AIVD Rob Bertholee in gesprek met studenten. Sinds Snowden bekendmaakte dat de Amerikaanse NSA op grote schaal burgers en overheden bespioneert, staan inlichtingen diensten onder druk. Tijdens dit programma legt Bertholee uit hoe hij als hoofd van de Algemene Inlichtingen en Veiligheidsdienst (AIVD) omgaat met de dilemma’s van een inlichtingendienst. RO THEATER: VAN WAVEREN Interview, diner & voorstelling Benieuwd naar hoe een theatergezelschap wordt geleid? Hoe komt een voorstelling tot stand en wanneer is deze succesvol? Algemeen directeur Erik Pals geeft ons inzicht in het runnen van het Ro Theater tijdens de maaltijd. Daarna bekijken we de bijzondere voorstelling Van Waveren in de Rotterdamse Schouwburg: gebaseerd op gevonden audiotapes, wordt de geschiedenis van de excentrieke familie van Waveren verteld. Open Mic Our monthly Open Stage Night invites all singers, songwriters, rappers, instrumentalists, stand-up comedians and poets to come and play on stage in the grand café of Erasmus Paviljoen. An Open Stage Night will be offered monthly by SG Erasmus and ESN Rotterdam. Are you interested in giving a performance of any kind? Talent is wanted! We do not only invite singers and songwriters, but also great instrumentalists, enthusiastic stand-up comedians, creative rappers and poets.
