9 Exclusive dates released each year With only 9 dates released by Fettes College each year, a chapel wedding ceremony here allows your special day to be truly exclusive. Specially selected dates outwith term time ensure that you and your guests receive the utmost attention whilst enjoying every single moment in these stunning surroundings. It’s not every day that you get married in such an exclusive and intimate venue.

A chapel that is simply stunning At the heart of Fettes College, the chapel is styled on French Gothic architecture and features a hammer beam ceiling, similar to that in the Old Parliament Hall. Beautiful in its simplicity with wooden pews and rubble walls, the chapel invites the newlyweds-to-be the opportunity to personalise the space to reflect their individual tastes. The large stained glass windows add the finishing touches to this traditional yet intimate space.

A romantic venue with hidden gems Special moments deserve unique settings and Fettes College offers both indoor and outdoor areas for you to create memories that last a lifetime. From the green walk to the cloisters and from the Queen’s Lawn to the Bryce building’s main staircase, the grandeur of the grounds and buildings offer an impressive canvas for your wedding photographs.

Old Library The old library is the ideal location for the happy couple to have their photographs taken.

This majestic room offers a truly magical feel with its floor-to-ceiling hand-carved book shelves, barley sugar pillars, 18th & 19th century books and imposing marble fireplace, above which is the coat of arms of Sir William Fettes, all looking out over Edinburgh’s stunning skyline and castle.

Callover Hall The Callover Hall, with its stone floors, wood panelling, high ceilings, marble fireplace, and grand staircase flanked by hand-carved wooden statues leads up to the 19th century French Gothic-style chapel. This spectacular area offers the perfect setting for up to 250 guests to mingle and enjoy a glass of champagne after your ceremony.

Drinks reception & canapes As your photographer whisks you away to one of the many hidden gems for your wedding photographs, your guests can relax and enjoy each others company in the grand Callover hall within the main Bryce building at Fettes College. Fettes Cellars offers a range of specially chosen Champagne, sparkling wines and soft drinks that can be personalised to meet your own specific tastes.

We offer various options for canapes which are lovingly prepared by our own in-house chefs and can be tailored to suit your wedding theme.

Chapel Wedding with Drinks Reception Includes use of our stunning chapel, parking and the various hidden gems within the grounds, including the Head’s private garden for your wedding photographs and the opportunity to enjoy a drinks reception within the Callover Hall. Drinks packages can be tailored to suit your needs and start from £9.00 per person. £2,750 including Vat plus your drinks package option

Additional Services Should you wish, we can recommend our established links with the following services, which are not included as part of either package: Minister, piper, organist and harpist.

Accommodation Whilst we do not offer accommodation at Fettes College, we can recommend local hotels.

Our wedding team will be more than happy to advise you on this.

Car Parking Guests are welcome to park their cars in the main Fettes College car park for the duration of your wedding. We are also happy for your guests to leave their car overnight but we ask that it be collected by 12 noon the following day.
