The 9th annual Bacardi Cruise Competition qualifier has seen entries from bartenders on 14 cruise lines and ferries. 2014’s theme—“The Inspired Cocktail”—provoked the best quality of cocktail recipe entries in the history of the event. This is one of the cruise industry’s largest and most challenging programs, featuring the skills and creativity of onboard bartenders. The 25 semi-finalists will be condensed to five finalists at the end of May once their submissions have been put to the test for authenticity, creativity, taste and appearance by a team of judges from Bacardi. A sixth finalist contender will be chosen from the shortlist of 25 by readers of Cruise Critic, the leading consumer website for cruise lovers.
