FAYETTEVILLE RESPONDS TO CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC Fayetteville city leaders have been engaging with residents and the business community during the coronavirus pandemic, and we have published two special website landing pages: one to help the community better engage with the City government during this time, called Transactions; and a second, called COVID-19, to direct people to State of Georgia and United States online resources that we hope will be helpful. Below, you will find some recent online engagement statistics.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 33 new; 35 closed.

Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the new City Hall building; set up Zoom for online public meetings; set up laptops for remote employees.

Meetings: Attended International City/County Management Association leadership training

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Follow-up meeting with highway corridor consultant for next steps; submitted detour plan coordination to Georgia Department of Transportation for hospital area/ bridge project; attended Land Use Coordinating Committee webinar on land use and housing demand; attended Small Business Administration webinar on latest efforts to assist small businesses during the coronavirus pandemic.

Main Street: Continued preparation of 2020 Concert Series, with ticket renewals underway; assisted wtih programming and scheduling of decorative Courthouse lighting; replaced streetlights with LED fixtures along Lafayette Avenue in front of Southern Ground Amphitheater; discussed potential downtown outdoor fitness center with National Fitness Campaign representative.

Downtown Development Authority: Submitted Stonewall Avenue road diet plan to GDOT for final review; met with engineer to update planning/design for alleyway project; continued discussions on downtown real estate options.

PIO / COMMUNICATIONS TEAM ANN MARIE BURDETT Promotions: 2020 U.S. Census Complete Count; COVID-19 City response; COVID-19 PSAs. Meetings Attended: Emergency Ordinance discussion 3/23; Team social media discussion 3/23; Team meeting 3/24; Zencity teleconference 3/25.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DAVID RAST Meetings (held remotely): Management Team; Community Development Department staff; Technical Review Committee.

Ongoing Projects: Implementing and refining electronic plan submittal and review process; collaborating with staff and developers via phone and video meetings; finalizing draft of Unified Development Ordinance and routing to internal departments for review prior to forwarding to the UDO Advisory Committee.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY Coronavirus response: ¡ Police Department Headquarters remains closed to the public, and citizens are being served over the phone and by e-mail. ¡ Office staff for the police department are working remotely to limit exposure to COVID-19. ¡ Police officers will physically respond only to emergency calls, as other reports will be taken over the phone. This does not limit citizens from requesting an officer, and the officer will respond as appropriate. ¡ The department is running low on critical PPE gear for officers. We are continuing to work with the Fayetteville Fire Department and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency to secure more supplies.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events: PPE gear ordered and received, then split with the Police Department; an Aero Clave unit was ordered for the department.

Projects: Chief Alan Jones attended a meeting regarding City’s potential for an Emergency Ordinance; Chief Jones and administrative staff held meeting to establish reponse levels for PPE; Captain Woodworth delivered training for PPE response procedures to all shifts; Deputy Chief Linda Black and Captain Collins continue to work with Medical Director Dr. Chris Edens, Fayette County, and the State of Georgia to stay up to date with COVID-19 information.

PUBLIC SERVICES CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; performed a trash run; cut and maintained the Grady Avenue roundabout as well as the front of City Hall, Beauregard Boulevard, West Lanier Avenue between Veterans Parkway and Sandy Creek Road, South Glynn Street near Broadway Diner; North Jeff Davis Drive, East Lanier Avenue, Stonewall Avenue from Melissa Segars Way to North Jeff Davis Drive, White Road, and New Hope Road; pulled weeds and sprayed middle islands on North Glynn Street, cut and blew the Historic Train Depot area; performed sidewalk work on Stonewall Avenue at the corner store; repaired sidewalk on Stonewall Avenue; trimmed siewalk on East Lanier Avenue from Church Street to Melissa Segars Way; trimmed and blew Georgia Avenue; repaired a pothole on Ridgecrest Drive.

Stormwater: Cleaned storm drain at 110 Ridgewood Drive and the detention pond on Bates Avenue.

Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2.416 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Water: Average daily flow of 1.423 million gallons of system demand; repaired five water leaks; performed maintenance on 110 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

HUMAN RESOURCES NELLA COOPER Personnel: Continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; continuing to work on the Property and Casualty Renewal applications and data gathering; the main focus has been on COVID-19 and Federal and State requirements as it relates to City employees; participated in various COVID-19 webcasts in order to remain in compliance.

Turn Over Report: There were no terminations and no new hires.
