CITY CLERK’S OFFICE ANNE BARKSDALE Projects: Worked on the City Council agenda packets for the 8/20 regular meeting and 8/20 and 8/27 called meetings; worked with Finance and Human Resources to schedule public notices for legal paper; discussed intergovernmental agreement for court services with the City Attorney; continued with quotes for clock placement from the old City Hall to the new City Hall; continued the shredding project for the Building Department.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 63 new, 45 closed.

Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the new City Hall building; continued reviewing audio-visual plan for new City Hall; continued with documents retention program; set up new Dell desktop computers; VLAN project connecting IT to the Police building; culled and documented surplus computer hardware for auction; reviewed and responded to numerous City project e-mails.

Meetings: Meeting in Harris County; GIS meeting; software demonstration; water utility workflow meeting; International City Managers’ Association teleconference.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Continued research on mitigation credits needed for hospital area trail project.

Main Street: Continued planning for the 8/21 Friday Night LIVE event; prepared for the monthly Main Street Tourism Association board meeting; attended the 8/12 Art & Architectural Advisory Committee video conference; met with staff to evaluate remainder of the 2020 concert season; built and published the event and ticketing web pages for the added September concerts; reviewed the design options for amphitheater seating upgrades.

Downtown Development Authority: Prepared for the monthly Downtown Development Authority board meeting.

PIO / COMMUNICATIONS TEAM ANN MARIE BURDETT Promotions: U.S. Census Complete Count; Citizens Police Academy; Friday Night LIVE. Meetings Attended: Communications Team 8/10, 8/11, 8/12, 8/13; two fleet management software vendor teleconferences 8/13.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DAVID RAST Meetings: Met with the Economic Development Director and Finance Director to discuss the concert series; met with the City Planner to discuss the Zoning chapter of the Unified Development Ordinance; met on-site at the new City Hall with the Director of Public Services, New South Site Superintendent and Comprehensive Program Services Project Manager to discuss the location and design of the City Hall monument sign; met with the City Manager, Finance Director and Economic Development Director to discuss the Main Street budget and concert series programming; met with the Project Manager, City Manager, Finance Director, and Economic Development Director to discuss options and budgeting for amphitheater enhancements; met with the Building Department staff to discuss future staffing and the direction of the Building Department.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY ยก We held our second citizens and police use of force class, we had a great turnout, and we had some citizens come to the class for a second time. ยก We are in the process of scheduling more classes, so look for those on our social media accounts. ยก We still have spots available in or Citizens Police Academy, so please contact Officer Branden Zuke to sign up: bzuke@fayetteville-ga.gov.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events: New computer tablets have been installed and placed in service for Truck 9, Engine 92, Engine 93, and Battalion 9.

Projects: Fire Chief Alan Jones, Deputy Chief Linda Black Division Chief Keith Harris, and Administrative Assistant Darlene Rowe attended Georgia Applicant Processing Service training via Microsoft Teams with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations; Chief Jones attended the City Managers Virtual Roundtable meeting for District Three; Chief Jones attended a meeting with George Clackum of Hogan Construction regarding a construction update for Station 93; Chief Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health officials and various other medical associations regarding COVID-19; Daily cleaning and sanitizing of self-contained breathing apparatus masks and regulators continues; Division Chief Jeff Gable continues to update the COVID-19 Incident Action Plan.

PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; Veterans Parkway, Highway 85 North, New Hope Road, White Road, Highway 314 median and right-of-way, Lester Road, Gingercake Road, Burch Road to Grady Avenue, Yorktown Drive and Brandywine Boulevard, Highway 54 East, Church Street Park, Courthouse Square, Lane Brown Gazebo area, Kathi Avenue roundabout, North Jeff Davis Drive from East Lanier Avenue to Stephens Avenue, Hillsdale Drive to Jeff Davis Place, and North Jeff Davis Drive to Booker Avenue; trimmed trees and hedges; repaired sidewalk at Campaign Trail and Lafayette Avenue; completed the trash run.

Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2.27 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Water: Average daily flow of 1.62 million gallons of system demand; repaired four water leaks; performed maintenance on 26 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Stormwater: Repaired erosion issue behind catch basin on Hidden Brook Trace; poured catch basin on Fieldstone Way. Utility Locates: 68

HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: Continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; continuing to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements relating to City employees; continuing to review various reports and updates related to COVID-19 in order to remain in compliance; keeping spreadsheet updated for potential City employee pandemic cases; requesting proper leave forms to be completed by employees who are out of work due to COVID-19-related absences; planning the schedule of employee meetings to discuss the new proposed pension plan; reviewing various Administrative Policies for accuracy.

Turn Over Report: There were no new hires and one termination.
