P 34-37 | ILLUSTRATION AND RENDERING
Clusters and Hybrids Experimentation of compositions using both digital and analogue skills. This project includes advanced digital modeling techniques, rendering, and Photoshop using collages to construct larger ‘clusters’ and ‘hybrids’ of objects and environments. These collaged compositions include settings (i.e. urban or landscapes). The programs used are: Maya, Blender, Houdini, and Photoshop. Using Photoshop collages (images, advanced digital modeling, and renderings) to construct Systems and dense Landscapes. The work focuses on narratives and concepts, technical and material specificity, geometries, systems, and environmental realities (light, texture, depth of space and atmosphere) as hybrid, layered, and dynamic compositions.
This image’s narrative is a physical manifestation of a polluted city. The atmospheric pollution creates monstrous like forms and objects that resurfaces from the earth. “Maya 2018” was used for modelling and rendering the texture on the diagonal objects and “Blender” was used for creating the landscape. Both were collaged along with the polluted atmospheric images in Photoshop to create the final output. Professor: George Katodrytis | Partrners: None | Course: Illustration and rendering
