What to do American Legion Lake Francis Ice Fishing Contest – Compete for prizes, participate in drawings and eat homemade stew at the event held the first Sunday in February. and shopping with Mr. & Mrs. Claus. In the evening, a parade lights up Main Street, followed by bingo in the fire hall. Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail Resurfaced in 2020. In 1991, a group of 25 Elysianites began a four-year effort to lobby local legislators to fund blacktopping of the 39-mile trail.
