DIRECTOR’S NOTES:

Welcome to the Paradise Center for the Arts!

We are excited to announce our 2025/2026 season! Everyone at the Paradise, from our dedicated staff to our board of directors, is eager to showcase the extraordinary experiences our art center has to offer. Our multidisciplinary space serves as a hub of creativity, encouraging everyone to express themselves and connect with the arts.

In our season guide, you will find an exciting mix of events, performances, and gallery exhibitions to spark your imagination and enhance your artistic journey. Whether you enjoy live theater from the Paradise Community Theatre, the heartfelt sounds of Joyann Parker Presents: The Music of Patsy Cline, comedy shows that make you laugh, or visual arts displayed in our four on-site galleries, there is something here for everyone!

The Paradise Center for the Arts has been a vibrant part of the Faribault community and beyond for the past eighteen years, offering meaningful arts activities and experiences.

Julie Fakler - Executive Director - full time

Julie is excited to lead the Paradise Center for the Arts with an amazing team. Julie has been with the Paradise for over 13 years as a staff member, and this will be her 16th year as the head of the gallery committee. Julie has a BFA in painting and drawing from Minneapolis College of Art & Design, and continues to create art whenever possible. Julie can be reached at: director@paradisecenterforthearts.org

Will McIntyre - Performing Arts & Education Director - full time

Will is a proud graduate of St. Olaf College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, Sociology, and Anthropology. He has been part of the PCA team for the past two years, and truly calls the Paradise his second home. Having grown up on the Paradise stage, Will has been involved in numerous productions over the years—as an actor, director, music director, and more. His lifelong connection to the arts shines through in everything he does, and he’s especially excited to help showcase the vibrant lineup of shows and events coming in the 2025/2026 season.

Sara Caron - Production Coordinator - part time

Sara has the enviable position of being the primary contact for the performers at the PCA. Sara also writes press releases about the events happening at the Paradise. Sara is the driving force behind the Fari “BOO” Bar Crawl.

Char Johnson - Box Office Staff/Volunteer Coordinator - part time

Char is one-half of the team that makes up our Box Office staff, as well as the Volunteer Coordinator for the front of house. She has an amazing ability to juggle patron requests, phone calls, donations, and more, and still finds time to keep us all supplied with chocolate. Char is a fiber and clay artist who teaches classes at the Paradise Center for the Arts. In addition, Char volunteers her time for several committees here at the Paradise. Dallas Musselman - Box office staff - part time

Dallas is the other half of the box office staff team. Dallas artfully wears many hats while selling tickets, processing memberships, telling PCA history and keeping us all on our toes with her delightful stories filled with many different accents! If you don’t see Dallas behind the desk, she just might be on the stage!

Rhonda Norgaard - part time admin

Fari “BOO” Downtown Bar Crawl

Join hundreds of costumed crawlers this Halloween in historic downtown Faribault for the second annual Fari “BOO” Bar Crawl – a fundraiser for the Paradise Center for The Arts! Registration for the Fari “BOO” Bar Crawl begins at 7 PM at the Paradise and is $12 per person. Between 7-11pm, participants must visit all four bars: The Signature, Our Place on Third, Boxers, and the American Legion, to be judged for the costume contest. Winners of the costume contest will be announced at 11:30 PM in the Paradise auditorium. First place prize - $500, second place prize - $250, and third place prize - $100. Must be 21 and older to participate in this ghoulishly fun-filled event!

Our dessert auction kicks off at 5:00 PM and runs until 7:00 PM. During this time, you’ll have the opportunity to bid on a wonderful assortment of tasty treats, all generously donated by our local businesses and community members. The Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens. Set number two has our Buddy (Nicholas Freeman) crooning all your favorite Holly Hits, backed by the red-hot BIG BEAT BAND. We offer a variety of classes that nurtures the love for the arts. Classes are available throughout the year. Please visit www.paradisecenterforthearts. org/education/

At the Paradise, there’s something for everyone! Whether you love pottery, painting, or theatre, we have fun classes for all ages. Customize a class to fit your group or club needs. At the Paradise we realize everyone is busy and has different schedules. If our class times don’t work for you and your group, please call us to discuss your needs. We will work together to find a class that fits your schedule and needs.
