Reading Treasure Hunt. Daily, 7:30 a.m. to dusk. July 1-Aug. 31. During park hours, kids can get clues at the front desk and hunt for boxes of reading-level-appropriate short stories to discover and read out in the woods at Beaver Lake Nature Center, East Mud Lake Road, Baldwinsville. Skate, walk, bike or jog along the 2-mile stretch while Liverpool’s Onondaga Lake Parkway is closed to motorized vehicle traffic. To get to the Salt Museum parking area, take Lake Drive or Willow Street in Liverpool, or use Old Liverpool Road to gain access to the park. Free. 453-6712. Junior Fishing Program. Saturdays, through Sept. 28. A fishing program for ages 7 to 15 features a banquet at the end of the season at which trophies are awarded for largest fish caught. The cost is $10 for the season.
