When we talk of a mental map, we talk of or consider it as someone’s mental representation as his or her spatial cognition (Ciobanu, 2008). It is one of the most common method used in the vast field of study called Urban Planning. This method is vastly used in trying to analyse space in most urban areas. It is essential when urban planners are trying to understand individuals traveling activity patterns and their important landmarks (Graham, 1976). Mind maps are used in urban planning to not only reflect on important facts but also to show the structure of a subject and the importance of that subject to an individual. This helps with project ideas, schedule and other project related matter (Aram, 2019).
