UIL cancelled the state tournament in 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic.
UIL went to two Divisions (based on size) in each classification in 2025 so there were two state championships awarded in each classification (6A, 5A, etc. )
The NFHS Rules Committee officially added the 19’9” radius 3 point shot for high school basketball in the 1987-88 season.
Clear Lake has gone undefeated in district play only once (1981).
