Chapter Six: Will’s Smiles

January 22nd, 2021; I met Will. It was one of the best days of my entire life. But, Will’s smiles are precious. They are what make my day and they give my life purpose. Will’s smiles as he’s talking, walking, leaving, and entering are magnificent. They spark such joy in the world. When I met Will; I understood so quickly, I understood his personality, his charm, everything. Will’s smiles are even simpler to understand. When he smiles at you, the world falls into place. Everything feels calmed down and relaxed, and what you want, dream and hope for is so easy to decide. There’s this particular smile he sometimes does, I can’t describe it in words. But when he does it, I am absolutely taken away to a dream world. I watch as he smiles at someone else or while talking to someone, and it takes my breath away. He does it in such a unique way… like nothing ever has before. Nothing in my life makes me feel the way Will’s smiles do.

His laugh is hauntingly beautiful.

The day I met him, he was talking to that woman, I mentioned in my previous memoir; I saw him laughing with her. I knew that it was the most beautiful laugh I’d ever heard in my life. His hands would gesture along with his words, with his laugh. The room was warmly lit. The warm lighting made his face look so smooth and cordial. He was asking her where Concorde was going the coming spring and some things about her children. His smiles and his laugh stood out, it stood out so heavily, from everything else in the entire room. As his lips spoke, I imagined what it would be like if I could go up and talk to him, and he, to me. It scared me; a very great amount but somehow excited me, all the same.
