Succession Planning

We understand that building wealth takes a great deal of time and effort. It’s important to put in place a strategy for passing wealth to

Fairway works with many prominent families to discuss the preservation and passing on of wealth and assets to their descendants. Corporate Governance

Our specialist team are fully resourced to support our clients’ needs within legal and regulatory frameworks to ensure business objectives are met.

Corporate governance is the system by which an organisation is directed and controlled. A corporate governance framework specifies the distribution of rights and responsibilities amongst different participants in the organisation and sets out the rules and procedures for making decisions.

Risk management is an integral part of the corporate governance framework. At Fairway, we understand our clients and appreciate that not all governance structures work for everyone. With an established network of tax advisors, property managing/letting agents and lawyers, we are well placed to offer private and corporate clients comprehensive real estate solutions from purchase through to hold and sale. As an independent owner-managed business, we invest the time to tailor our services to each client and provide efficient and cost-effective solutions.

Our Real Estate services include:

• Sourcing suitable property for investment purposes

• Working with estate agents, lawyers and lenders on the property transaction

• Appoint reputable regulated agents in respect of the letting/management of the property

Guidance and establishment

We help co-founders and donors gain clarity on their aims and how they want to utilise the structure. The right type of structure for families differs in line with specific aims. We provide bespoke structures that ensure philanthropic initiatives are both effective and aligned with the family’s values, ultimately maximising the positive impact they can make in their communities and beyond.

Liaising with co-founders and donors

We continue to liaise with the co-founders and donors, as well as auditors and external advisors to achieve a consistent mission and message and a commitment to charitable objectives.

Administration of philanthropic structures

We provide full-service administration of philanthropic structures including charitable and non-charitable trusts, charitable companies and foundations.

Management of distribution of trust assets

We manage any distributions of trust assets to beneficiaries and / or other related parties, including trust winding up as well as in-life trust distributions.

Provision of foundation members

We will provide one or more directors to act as council members in accordance with the foundation charter and relevant foundation law.

Investment monitoring

We will monitor your philanthropic structure’s financial position and assess the long-term financial performance and sustainability.

The Jersey trust is a highly flexible, bespoke structure that can be adapted to meet different philanthropic objectives. Trusts Law in Jersey accommodates trusts with both charitable and non-charitable purposes, along with trusts established for aims that are a mix of personal and philanthropic.

The Jersey foundation is also extremely flexible for structured giving, philanthropists can be involved in the administration of the foundation and the make-up of the foundation can be easily amended. The foundation also offers a good balance of transparency and confidentiality, allowing it to seamlessly evolve through family generations.

Senior leadership team

Mark has a wealth of experience from within the financial services industry, having worked predominantly in the private client sector since 1985.

During his career, Mark has worked on a variety of structures and asset classes across various jurisdictions. Prior to Fairway, Mark worked for another local independent trust business as well as a top five global trust company. He has been employed at Director level for the past 15 years and joined Fairway in 2017.

Mark is a Fellow member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (FMAAT), a qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (Chartered MCSI).

Dominique has over 20 years’ experience in the fiduciary industry and has exceptional cross-jurisdictional experience including expertise in managed trust companies, private trust companies and governance.

At Fairway, Dominique oversees a private client team with responsibility for a growing global client base. Primary areas of focus include complex asset protection for HNW entrepreneurial clients, strong corporate governance along with bespoke administration services.

Dominique frequently travels to meet with international clients and intermediaries with particularly strong connections in South-East Asia.

Dominique is a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute, a member of STEP and holds a Masters degree in Corporate Governance.

Dominique is also a Powerwomen Award Winner 2024 and is included in Citywealth’s Top 75 Trustees List 2024.

Jodie has more than 25 years of industry experience. She is responsible for managing a team that specialises in wealth structuring and the provision of family office services.

Jodie is passionate about delivering Fairway’s exceptional standards of client service as well as mentoring her team to reach their full potential. In her role, Jodie often travels to the UK and the Middle East to meet with clients and intermediaries and attend key industry events.

Jodie joined Fairway from another Jersey service provider where she worked for 16 years, most recently as Director and Board member with a particular focus on administrative solutions to HNW private clients, including real estate services, succession planning and governance.

Jodie holds the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management.

Christian joined Fairway in 2012 and has worked within offshore trust and company administration since 2005.

As a Director of Fairway Trust, he is principally involved in the establishment of asset holding and financing structures for high net worth clients.

Christian’s experience encompasses the management of residential and commercial real estate portfolios and equity funds for a number of private family offices and institutional real estate investors through trust and fund structures. Additionally, he has assisted high net worth clients in establishing vehicles to hold and operate aircraft and super yachts. This has included the acquisition of assets and thereafter, the ongoing asset management.

Christian holds the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) Diploma in Offshore Finance and Administration.

Caroline is a Director in the Private Client department at Fairway. She is responsible for developing relationships with newly introduced clients, helping with the creation of structures for HNWI’s, and for providing an experienced team of professionals to administer these structures.

Throughout Caroline’s career, she has led high performing teams, dedicated to delivering exceptional service to global HNW clients for multi-jurisdictional entities. From her private banking background, Caroline boasts a wealth of knowledge and experience in the corporate governance of structuring for high-risk and high-profile clients.

Having worked on the client administration side of the business for 10 years at Fairway, Chris’ primary focus is on building new business relationships and opportunities including the onboarding of new clients.

Having managed the Emirates NBD Trust Company (Jersey) Limited relationship for Fairway as part of his previous role, Chris still has a keen focus on all things Middle East. Chris specialises in working closely with large high net worth families based in the GCC to create structures that form part of a holistic approach to succession planning. The majority of these structures are of high value with a variety of asset classes and jurisdictions. This is a particularly complex area with cross border estates and reporting requirements.

Chris has an honours degree in financial services and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) holding the Diploma in International Trust Management.
