The Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the 2024 Best of Fair Oaks! This annual contest celebrates our community’s favorite businesses and outstanding individuals.

This year, we have 76 categories, featuring hundreds of participating businesses and individuals. To explore the categories, visit www.BestofFairOaks.com. We’ve noticed your contributions to our community and would like to invite you to be part of the fun!

How to Participate (It’s Easy and Free!):

Claim Your Listing: If you are the owner, manager, or representative of a nominee, it is essential to claim your FREE listing. By doing so, you will receive notifications about the Best of Fair Oaks contest and gain access to personalized FREE promotional tools. This information is crucial to ensuring you don't miss out on any valuable promotional opportunities.

Voting PROCESS: Votes can only be cast through the online voting platform at the Best of Fair Oaks. To ensure your vote is counted, please provide complete voter information; incomplete entries will be disregarded. To cast your vote, you must register using a valid email address. Each participant is allowed only one email for voting; multiple email addresses will be excluded from the count. Your primary email will be used for verification purposes to confirm that your vote is cast by a real person, not a bot or spam account. We value your privacy and assure you that your email will not be sold or used to send unsolicited messages. Any communications from us will be exclusively related to the Best of Fair Oaks contest.

ELIGIBILTY: Nominees must be located within the Fair Oaks (95628) community or hold an active membership with the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce. This includes businesses outside the 95628 zip code if they are current Chamber members. Participant details will be verified using the Sacramento County Business License database, social media, and registered websites. All votes must be submitted by December 19, 2024. Chamber members in good standing as of October 31, 2024, will be automatically entered into the contest and nominated in their primary category. Non-profit members will be nominated in one of the following categories: "Best Non-Profit Organization," "Best Church or Place of Worship," "Best School," or "Best Service Club." Members can also nominate themselves in up to three additional categories. As a member, you will receive a Chamber Badge on the voting site, indicating your membership in our organization. Please note that if a member’s dues become 30 days past due during the contest, their badge will be removed. Additionally, members outside of the Fair Oaks community who choose to cancel their membership during the voting period will have their votes eliminated and will be automatically disqualified from the contest.

Voting GUIDELINES: Each participant is allowed to cast only one vote per category, with voting limited to one vote per person and IP address. To ensure fairness, we will closely monitor IP addresses. If several individuals from the same household or business wish to vote, they must use different devices (such as computers, tablets, or smartphones) and should not be connected to the same network. Votes cast using multiple email addresses will not be considered valid; only your primary email will be counted.

CODE of Conduct: The Best of Fair Oaks facilitators reserve the right to disqualify any business that enters the competition incorrectly or utilizes marketing materials, badges, language, or behavior that misaligns with the competition's standards. Participants who breach the rules will receive a written warning regarding the incident.

Voting INTEGRITY: If a business is found to be “Stuffing Ballots” or violating any of our security measures by submitting multiple ballots focusing on the same business or businesses, the software will automatically flag these incidents, and the offending entries may be removed from multiple categories if they exceed the allowed number. We are committed to providing a fair and accurate voting process, ensuring that no participant undermines the integrity of this online competition

CATEGORY Selection: As a member of the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce, you have the advantage of being listed in up to four (4) categories during the Best of Fair Oaks competition, as determined by our staff. In contrast, other Fair Oaks businesses that are not members of the Chamber will only be permitted to be listed in a single (1) category. Please note that nominees must remain in their designated categories for the duration of the voting period. If you wish to be nominated in additional categories, consider joining the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce before the nomination period concludes on December 11th.

Voting REQUIREMENTS: All entries must contain complete information; incomplete votes will not be counted. By participating in the Best of Fair Oaks, you grant permission for the use of your business name, likeness, and/or image in marketing and promotional materials associated with the competition. All results from the Best of Fair Oaks competition will be kept confidential by the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce, Messenger Publishing Group and Voterfly.

PARTICIPATING: By participating in Best of Fair Oaks, you grant us permission to use your business name, likeness, and/or image in our marketing and promotional materials related to the competition and/or events. All results from the Best of Fair Oaks competition are maintained privately by the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce.

AWARDS Announcement: We are thrilled to announce that winners will be honored at the Best of Fair Oaks Award Gala on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at North Ridge Country Club. Please note that tickets must be pre-purchased; no tickets will be available at the door. Tickets will go on sale January 1, 2025.

WINNERS! will receive a certificate from the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce to display in their business, along with certificates from our elected officials, promotional materials, and, of course, the prestigious honor of bragging rights. Additionally, winners will be featured in the American River Messenger and on the Best of Fair Oaks website following the Gala on January 17, 2025. We will announce the top three winners in each category, and we encourage you to be present to accept your award. Remember, take pride in being a winner your presence is important! If a winner cannot attend the event to receive their award, please send someone to represent you or they must contact the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce to arrange for pickup. Due to limited staff, awards will not be delivered to the winners.

Purpose of the Event: The Best of Fair Oaks aims to raise awareness of the outstanding small businesses in our community. We seek to ensure that the competition is enjoyable for all participants.
